1 யோவான் 1
1 வாழ்வுதரும் வார்த்தையாகிய கிறிஸ்துவைக்குறித்து நாங்கள் உங்களுக்குப் பிரசித்தப்படுத்துகிறோம். தொடக்கத்தில் இருந்த வார்த்தையாகிய அவரையே நாங்கள் கண்டும், கேட்டும் இருக்கிறோம். அவர் பேசுவதை நாங்கள் கேட்டோம், அவரை எங்கள் கண்களால் கண்டோம், அவரை உற்றுப்பார்த்தோம், இந்த வார்த்தையாகிய அவரை எங்கள் கைகளால் தொட்டும் பார்த்தோம்.
That which was from the beginning, which wee haue heard, which wee haue seene with these our eyes, which wee haue looked vpon, and these handes of ours haue handled of that Word of life,
2 உண்மையாகவே, அந்த வாழ்வு வெளிப்பட்டது; நாங்கள் அவரைக்கண்டு, அவரைக்குறித்து சாட்சி சொல்கிறோம். ஏற்கெனவே, பிதாவுடன் இருந்த அதே நித்திய வாழ்வைக்குறித்தே நாங்கள் உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கிறோம். இப்பொழுதோ, அவர் எங்களுக்கு வெளிப்பட்டிருக்கிறார். (aiōnios g166)
(For that life was made manifest, and wee haue seene it, and beare witnes, and shewe vnto you that eternall life, which was with the Father, and was made manifest vnto vs) (aiōnios g166)
3 நீங்களும் எங்களுடன்கூட ஐக்கியம் வைத்துக்கொள்வதற்காக, நாங்கள் கண்டதையும் கேட்டதையும் உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கிறோம். எங்களுடைய ஐக்கியமோ, பிதாவோடும் அவருடைய மகனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவோடுமே இருக்கிறது.
That, I say, which wee haue seene and heard, declare wee vnto you, that yee may also haue fellowship with vs, and that our fellowship also may be with the Father, and with his Sonne Iesvs Christ.
4 நமது சந்தோஷத்தை முழுநிறைவுபெறச் செய்வதற்காகவே இந்தச் சாட்சியத்தை நாங்கள் எழுதுகிறோம்.
And these thinges write we vnto you, that that your ioy may be full.
5 கிறிஸ்துவிடமிருந்து நாங்கள் பெற்றுக்கொண்ட செய்தி இதுவே, அதையே உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கிறோம்: இறைவன் ஒளியாக இருக்கிறார்; அவரில் எவ்வித இருளும் இல்லை.
This then is the message which wee haue heard of him, and declare vnto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkenes.
6 எனவே, நாம் இறைவனுடன் ஐக்கியமாய் இருக்கிறோம் என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டு இருளிலே நடந்தால், நாம் சத்தியத்தின்படி வாழ்கின்றவர்கள் அல்ல; பொய் சொல்கிறவர்களாகவே இருப்போம்.
If wee say that wee haue fellowship with him, and walke in darkenesse, we lie, and doe not truely:
7 ஆனால், இறைவன் ஒளியில் இருக்கிறதுபோல, நாமும் இறைவனின் ஒளியிலே நடந்தால், நமக்கு ஒருவரோடொருவர் ஐக்கியமுண்டு. இறைவனின் மகனாகிய இயேசுவின் இரத்தம் எல்லாப் பாவத்திலிருந்தும் நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிக்கிறது.
But if we walke in the light as he is in the light, we haue fellowship one with another, and the blood of Iesus Christ his Sonne clenseth vs from all sinne.
8 நாம் பாவம் அற்றவர்கள் என்று சொல்லிக்கொள்வோமேயானால், நம்மை நாமே ஏமாற்றிக்கொள்கிறோம்; சத்தியம் நமக்குள் இல்லை.
If we say that we haue no sinne, we deceiue our selues, and trueth is not in vs.
9 நம்முடைய பாவங்களை நாம் இறைவனுக்கு அறிக்கையிட்டால், அவர் நம்முடைய பாவங்களை நமக்கு மன்னித்து, எல்லா அநியாயங்களையும் நீக்கி, நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிப்பார். ஏனெனில் அவர் வாக்குமாறாதவரும் நீதி உள்ளவருமாய் இருக்கிறார்.
If we acknowledge our sinnes, he is faithfull and iust, to forgiue vs our sinnes, and to clense vs from all vnrighteousnes.
10 நாம் பாவம் செய்யவில்லை என்று சொல்வோமேயானால், நாம் இறைவனைப் பொய்யராக்குகிறோம். அவருடைய வார்த்தைக்கு நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கையில் இடமில்லை.
If wee say we haue not sinned, wee make him a liar, and his word is not in vs.
