1 யோவான் 5

1 இயேசுவே கிறிஸ்து என்று விசுவாசிக்கிற ஒவ்வொருவனும் இறைவனால் பிறந்திருக்கிறான். பிதாவில் அன்பாயிருக்கிற ஒவ்வொருவனும், பிதாவின் பிள்ளைகளிலும் அன்பாயிருக்கிறான்.

Every one who believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God; and every one who loves the Father, loves him also who is the Father’s Child.

2 நாம் இறைவனில் அன்பாயிருந்து, அவருடைய கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்வதினாலேயே இறைவனின் பிள்ளைகளில் நாம் அன்பாயிருக்கிறோம் என்பதை அறிந்துகொள்கிறோம்.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments.

3 இறைவனில் அன்பாயிருப்பது, அவருடைய கட்டளைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவதே. அவருடைய கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்வதற்கு பாரமானவையும் அல்ல.

For love to God means obeying his commandments; and his commandments are not irksome.

4 ஏனெனில், இறைவனால் பிறந்த ஒவ்வொருவரும் கிறிஸ்துவை விசுவாசித்து, உலகத்தை மேற்கொள்கிறார்கள். நமது விசுவாசமே உலகத்தை மேற்கொண்ட வெற்றி.

For whoever is a child of God is overcoming the world; and our faith is the victory that has overcome the world.

5 யார் உலகத்தை மேற்கொள்கிறார்கள்? இயேசுவை இறைவனின் மகன் என்று விசுவாசிக்கிறவர்கள் மட்டுமே மேற்கொள்கிறார்கள்.

And who it the one that is overcoming the world if not the man who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

6 இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவே தண்ணீரினாலும், இரத்தத்தினாலும், வந்தார். அவர் தண்ணீர் மூலமாக மட்டுமல்ல, தண்ணீனால் மாத்திரமல்ல, இரத்தத்தினாலும் வந்தார். இது சத்தியமென்று பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரும் சாட்சி கொடுக்கிறார். ஏனெனில், ஆவியானவர் சத்தியமுள்ளவர்.

Jesus Christ is he who came by water and blood, not by the water only, but by the water and by the blood. The spirit is he who bears testimony, because the Spirit is the truth.

7 ஆகவே, சாட்சி கொடுப்பவை மூன்று இருக்கின்றன:

For there are three who bear testimony, the Spirit, and the water,

8 ஆவியானவர், தண்ணீர், இரத்தம்; இந்த மூன்று சாட்சிகளும், ஒருமைப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

and the blood; and the three are one.

9 நாம் மனிதனின் சாட்சியை ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறோமே, அப்படியானால் இறைவனுடைய சாட்சி அதிலும் மேலானது அல்லவா! ஏனெனில், இதுவே இறைவன் தமது மகனைக்குறித்துக் கொடுத்த சாட்சியாய் இருக்கிறது.

If we accept men’s testimony, the testimony of God is greater; for this is the testimony of God, that he has borne testimony concerning his Son.

10 இறைவனின் மகனாகிய கிறிஸ்துவில் விசுவாசம் வைக்கிறவர்கள் யாரோ அவர்களுடைய சாட்சியை ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்கள். இறைவனை விசுவாசிக்காதவர்கள் யாரோ அவர்கள் இறைவனை பொய்யராக்கியிருக்கிறார்கள். ஏனெனில், இறைவன் தமது மகனாகிய கிறிஸ்துவைக்குறித்துக் கொடுத்த சாட்சியை அவர்கள் நம்பவில்லை.

He who believes on the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who does not believe God, has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son.

11 இறைவன் நமக்கு நித்திய வாழ்வைக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். இந்த வாழ்வு அவருடைய மகனில் இருக்கிறது என்பதே அந்தச் சாட்சி. (aiōnios g166)

And the testimony is this, "God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." (aiōnios g166)

12 இறைவனுடைய மகனை தன் உள்ளத்தில் உடையவர்கள் யாரோ அவர்கள் நித்திய வாழ்வைப் பெற்றிருக்கிறார்கள். இறைவனுடைய மகனை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாதவர்கள் நித்தியவாழ்வு இல்லாதவர்கள்.

He who has the Son has the life; he who has not the Son of God has not the life.

13 இறைவனின் மகனின் பெயரில் விசுவாசமாய் இருக்கிறவர்களே, நீங்கள் நித்திய வாழ்வைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள் என்று நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்ளும்படியாகவே இவற்றை நான் உங்களுக்கு எழுதுகிறேன். (aiōnios g166)

I have written these words to you so that you may know that you have eternal life, you who believe in the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)

14 ஆனால், இறைவனுக்கு முன்வருவதற்கு நமக்குள்ள மனவுறுதி இதுவே: அவருடைய சித்தத்திற்கு இணங்க நாம் அவரிடம் எதையாவது கேட்கும்போது, அவர் நமது மன்றாட்டைக் கேட்கிறார்.

Now the confidence which we have in him is this, that he listens to us whenever we ask anything that is in accordance with his will.

15 அவர் நமது மன்றாட்டைக் கேட்கிறார் என்று நாம் அறிந்திருந்தால், நாம் எதைக் கேட்டாலும் அதைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டோம் என்ற நிச்சயம் நமக்கு உண்டு என்றும் அறிகிறோம்.

And if we know that he is listening to us in what ever we are asking, we know that we obtain the petitions which we have made to him.

16 தன் சகோதரன் அல்லது சகோதரி மரணத்திற்குள் நடத்தாத பாவம் செய்வதைக் கண்டால், அதைச் செய்கிறவர்களுக்காக மன்றாட வேண்டும். அப்பொழுது இறைவன், அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு வாழ்வைக் கொடுப்பார். மரணத்திற்கு வழிநடத்தாத பாவம் செய்கிற ஒருவனைக் குறித்தே நான் இங்கு குறிப்பிடுகிறேன். மரணத்தை விளைவிக்கும் பாவமும் உண்டு. அப்படிப்பட்டவைகளுக்காக நீங்கள் மன்றாட வேண்டும் என்று நான் சொல்லவில்லை.

If any one sees his brother committing a sin that is not deadly, he shall ask, and God will give him life, for any one who is not committing a deadly sin. There is a deadly sin; concerning that I do not say that he should pray.

17 எல்லா அநீதியும் பாவமே. ஆனால் எல்லா பாவமும் மரணத்திற்கு வழிநடத்துவதில்லை.

All unrighteousness is sin; and there is sin that is not deadly.

18 இறைவனால் பிறந்த யாரும் தொடர்ந்து பாவம் செய்வதில்லையென்று நாம் அறிவோம்; ஏனெனில் இறைவனின் மகனான கிறிஸ்து, அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களைப் பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்கிறார். தீயவன் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களைத் தொடவே முடியாது.

We know that whoever is a child of God is not habitually committing sin; but he who is God’s child guards himself, and the Evil One never touches him.

19 நாம் இறைவனுடைய பிள்ளைகள் என்றும், நம்மைச் சுற்றியிருக்கிற முழு உலகமும், தீயவனின் கட்டுப்பாட்டுக்குள் இருக்கிறது என்றும் அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.

We know that we are of God, and the whole world is lying in the Evil One.

20 இறைவனின் மகன் வந்து, விளங்கிக்கொள்ளும் ஆற்றலை நமக்குக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறதினால், நாம் சத்திய இறைவனை அறிந்திருக்கிறோம் என்பதும், நமக்குத் தெரியும். நாம் சத்திய இறைவனில், அவருடைய மகனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவில் இருக்கிறோம். இந்த கிறிஸ்துவே சத்திய இறைவனும், நித்திய வாழ்வுமாக இருக்கிறார். (aiōnios g166)

And we know that the Son of God is come, and has granted us and understanding, so that we may come to know him who is true. And we are in him who is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and life eternal. (aiōnios g166)

21 அன்பான பிள்ளைகளே, இறைவன் அல்லாதவைகளிலிருந்து உங்களை விலக்கிக் காத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

My little children, guard yourselves from idols.
