1 ஆரோனின் மகன்களின் பிரிவுகள் இவையே: ஆரோனின் மகன்கள்: நாதாப், அபியூ, எலெயாசார், இத்தாமார் ஆகியோர்.
The sons of Aaron were placed in divisions as follows. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2 நாதாப்பும், அபியூவும் தங்கள் தகப்பன் இறப்பதற்கு முன்னே இறந்துவிட்டார்கள். அவர்களுக்கு மகன்கள் இருக்கவில்லை. அதனால் எலெயாசாரும் இத்தாமாரும் ஆசாரியர்களாகப் பணிபுரிந்தனர்.
But Nadab and Abihu died before their father did, and they had no sons. Only Eleazar and Ithamar carried on as priests.
3 எலெயாசாரின் வழித்தோன்றலான சாதோக்கின் உதவியுடனும், இத்தாமாரின் வழித்தோன்றலான அகிமெலேக்கின் உதவியுடனும் நியமிக்கப்பட்ட பணியைச் செய்வதற்கென, தாவீது அவர்களைப் பிரிவுகளாகப் பிரித்தான்.
With the help of Zadok, a descendant of Eleazar, and Ithamar, a descendant Ahimelech, David placed them in divisions according to their appointed duties.
4 இத்தாமாரின் வழித்தோன்றலைவிட எலெயாசாரின் வழித்தோன்றலில் தலைவர்கள் அதிக எண்ணிக்கையில் இருந்தார்கள். அதற்கேற்ப எலெயாசாரின் சந்ததியிலிருந்து பதினாறுபேர் தங்கள் குடும்பத் தலைவர்களாகவும், இத்தாமாரின் சந்ததியிலிருந்து எட்டுபேர் குடும்பத் தலைவர்களாகவும் பிரிக்கப்பட்டனர்.
Because Eleazar's descendants had more leaders than those of Ithamar, they were divided like this: sixteen family leaders from the descendants of Eleazar, and eight from the descendants of Ithamar.
5 எலெயாசாரின் சந்ததியிலும், இத்தாமாரின் சந்ததியிலும் பரிசுத்த இடத்து அலுவலர்களும், இறைவனுக்குப் பணிசெய்யும் அலுவலர்களும் இருந்தபடியால், அவர்களைப் பாரபட்சமின்றி சீட்டுப்போட்டுப் பிரித்தார்கள்.
They were divided by casting lots, without preference, for there were officers of the sanctuary and officers of God from both the sons of Eleazar and the sons of Ithamar.
6 லேவியனும் எழுத்தாளனுமான நெதனெயேலின் மகன் செமாயா அரசன், அதிகாரிகள், ஆசாரியன் சாதோக்கு, அபியத்தாரின் மகன் அகிமெலேக்கு, ஆசாரியர்கள் மற்றும் லேவியர்கள் குடும்பத் தலைவர்கள் ஆகியோர் முன்பாக அவர்களுடைய பெயர்களைப் பதிவுசெய்தான். எலெயாசாரின் குடும்பத்திலிருந்து ஒருவனும், இத்தாமாரின் குடும்பத்திலிருந்து ஒருவனுமாக சீட்டின் மூலம் மாறிமாறி தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்டனர்.
Shemaiah son of Nethanel, a Levite, was the secretary. He wrote down the names and assignments in the presence of the king, the officials, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the family leaders of the priests and Levites. One family from Eleazar and one from Ithamar were chosen in turn.
7 முதலாவது சீட்டு யோயாரீபுக்கும், இரண்டாவது யெதாயாவுக்கும்,
The first lot fell to Jehoiarib. The second to Jedaiah.
8 மூன்றாவது ஆரீமுக்கும், நான்காவது செயோரீமுக்கும் விழுந்தன.
The third to Harim. The fourth to Seorim.
9 ஐந்தாவது சீட்டு மல்கியாவிற்கும், ஆறாவது மியாமீனுக்கும்,
The fifth to Malkijah. The sixth to Mijamin.
10 ஏழாவது அக்கோத்ஸிற்கும், எட்டாவது அபியாவிற்கும் விழுந்தன.
The seventh to Hakkoz. The eighth to Abijah.
11 ஒன்பதாவது சீட்டு யெசுவாவிற்கும், பத்தாவது செக்கனியாவிற்கும் விழுந்தன.
The ninth to Jeshua. The tenth to Shecaniah.
12 பதினோராவது எலியாசீபிற்கும், பன்னிரண்டாவது யாக்கீமினுக்கும்,
The eleventh to Eliashib. The twelfth to Jakim.
13 பதிமூன்றாவது சீட்டு உப்பாவிற்கும், பதினான்காவது எசெபெயாபிற்கும் விழுந்தன.
The thirteenth to Huppah. The fourteenth to Jeshebeab.
14 பதினைந்தாவது சீட்டு பில்காவிற்கும், பதினாறாவது இம்மேருக்கும் விழுந்தன.
The fifteenth to Bilgah. The sixteenth to Immer.
15 பதினேழாவது சீட்டு ஏசீரினுக்கும், பதினெட்டாவது அப்சேஸிற்கும் விழுந்தன.
The seventeenth to Hezir. The eighteenth to Happizzez.
16 பத்தொன்பதாவது சீட்டு பெத்தகியாவிற்கும், இருபதாவது எகெசெக்கியேலிற்கும் விழுந்தன.
The nineteenth to Pethahiah. The twentieth to Jehezkel.
17 இருபத்தோராவது சீட்டு யாகினிற்கும், இருபத்திரெண்டாவது காமுலிற்கும் விழுந்தன.
The twenty-first to Jakin. The twenty-second to Gamul.
18 இருபத்துமூன்றாவது சீட்டு தெலாயாவிற்கும், இருபத்துநான்காவது மாசியாவிற்கும் விழுந்தன.
The twenty-third to Delaiah. The twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
19 யெகோவாவினுடைய ஆலயத்திற்குள் அவர்கள் போய், பணிசெய்வதற்கான ஒழுங்குமுறை இதுவே: இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா அவர்கள் முற்பிதாவான ஆரோனுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, பணிசெய்வதற்கென நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.
This was the order in which each group were to serve when they came into the house of the Lord, following the procedure defined for them by their forefather Aaron, as instructed by the Lord, the God of Israel.
20 லேவியின் வழித்தோன்றலில் மிகுதியாயிருந்தோர் யாரெனில்: அம்ராமின் மகன்களில் சூபயேல், சூபயேலின் மகன்களில் எகேதியா,
These were the rest of the sons of Levi: from the sons of Amram: Shubael; from the sons of Shubael: Jehdeiah.
21 ரெகேபியாவின் மகன்களில் மூத்தவனான இஷியா,
For Rehabiah, from his sons: Isshiah (first).
22 இத்சாரியரில் செலெமோத்து, செலெமோத்தின் மகன்களில் யாகாத்,
From the Izharites: Shelomoth; from the sons of Shelomoth: Jahath.
23 எப்ரோனின் மகன்களில் மூத்தவன் யெரியா, இரண்டாவது அமரியா, மூன்றாவது யாகாசியேல், நான்காவது எக்காமியாம்,
The sons of Hebron: Jeriah (first), Amariah (second), Jahaziel (third), and Jekameam (fourth).
24 ஊசியேலின் மகன்களில் மீகா, மீகாவின் மகன்களில் சாமீர்,
The son of Uzziel: Micah; from the sons of Micah: Shamir.
25 மீகாவின் சகோதரன் இஷியா, இஷியாவின் மகன்களில் சகரியா,
The brother of Micah: Isshiah; from the sons of Isshiah: Zechariah.
26 மெராரியின் மகன்களில் மகேலி, மூஷி என்பவர்கள் ஆவர். யாசியாவின் மகன் பேனோவா,
The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The son of Jaaziah: Beno.
27 மெராரியின் மகன்களில் யாசியாவின் மகன்களிலிருந்து பேனோ, சோகாம், சக்கூர், இப்ரி என்பவர்கள்.
The sons of Merari: from Jaaziah: Beno, Shoham, Zaccur and Ibri.
28 மகேலியின் மகன்களில் எலெயாசார், இவனுக்கு மகன்கள் இருக்கவில்லை.
From Mahli: Eleazar, who did not have any sons.
29 கீஸின் மகன்களில் யெராமியேல்,
From Kish: the son of Kish, Jerahmeel.
30 மூஷியின் மகன்களில் மகேலி, ஏதேர், எரிமோத் என்பவர்கள் ஆவர். இவர்களும் தங்களுடைய குடும்பங்களின்படியே லேவியர்கள் ஆவர்.
The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites, according to their families.
31 இவர்களும் ஆரோனின் சந்ததிகளான தங்கள் சகோதரர் செய்ததுபோல, அரசன் தாவீது முன்பும், சாதோக்குக்கும், அகிமெலேக்குக்கும், ஆசாரியர்களின் குடும்பத் தலைவர்களுக்கும், லேவியருக்கும் முன்பாகத் தங்கள் பணிகளுக்காக சீட்டுப்போட்டார்கள். மூத்த சகோதரனின் குடும்பங்களும், இளைய சகோதரனின் குடும்பங்களும் ஒரேவிதமாக நடத்தப்பட்டன.
They also cast lots in the same way their relatives the descendants of Aaron did. They did this in the presence of King David, and of Zadok, Ahimelech, and the family leaders of the priests and of the Levites, the family leaders and their youngest brothers alike.
