2 கேனான், மகலாலெயேல், யாரேத்,

Kenan, Mahalaleel, Jered,

3 ஏனோக்கு, மெத்தூசலா, லாமேக்கு, நோவா ஆகியோர்.

Henoch, Methuselah, Lamech,

4 நோவாவின் மகன்கள்: சேம், காம், யாப்பேத்.

Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

5 யாப்பேத்தின் மகன்கள்: கோமர், மாகோகு, மாதாய், யாவான், தூபால், மேசேக்கு, தீராஸ்.

Sons of Japheth: Gomer and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

6 கோமரின் மகன்கள்: அஸ்கினாஸ், ரீப்பாத்து, தொகர்மா.

And sons of Gomer: Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

7 யாவானின் மகன்கள்: எலீஷா, தர்ஷீஸ், கித்தீம், ரொதானீம்.

And sons of Javan: Elisha, and Tarshishah, Kittim, and Dodanim.

8 காமின் மகன்கள்: கூஷ், மிஸ்ராயீம், பூத், கானான்.

Sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

9 கூஷின் மகன்கள்: சேபா, ஆவிலா, சப்தா, ராமா, சப்திகா என்பவர்கள். ராமாவின் மகன்கள்: சேபா, திதான்.

And sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecka. And sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.

10 கூஷின் மகன் நிம்ரோத்; இவன் பூமியில் வலிமையுள்ள வீரனாக விளங்கினான்.

And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the land.

11 மிஸ்ராயீமின் சந்ததிகள்: லூதீமியர், ஆனாமியர், லெகாபியர், நப்தூகியர்,

And Mizraim begat the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,

12 பத்ரூசீயர், பெலிஸ்தியரின் சந்ததிக்கு தலைவனான கஸ்லூகியர், கப்தோரியர்.

and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim (from whom came out the Philistim), and the Caphtorim.

13 கானானின் சந்ததிகள்: மூத்த மகன் சீதோன், கேத்து,

And Canaan begat Zidon his first born, and Heth,

14 எபூசியர், எமோரியர், கிர்காசியர்,

and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

15 ஏவியர், அர்கீயர், சீனியர்,

and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

16 அர்வாதியர், செமாரியர், காமாத்தியர்.

and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

17 சேமின் மகன்கள்: ஏலாம், அசூர், அர்பக்சாத், லூத், ஆராம். ஆராமின் மகன்கள்: ஊத்ஸ், கூல், கேத்தெர், மேசேக்கு.

Sons of Shem: Elam and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

18 அர்பக்சாத் சேலாவின் தகப்பன், சேலா ஏபேரின் தகப்பன்.

And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

19 ஏபேருக்கு இரண்டு மகன்கள் பிறந்தார்கள். ஒருவன் பெயர் பேலேகு, ஏனெனில் அவன் காலத்தில் பூமியிலுள்ள மக்கள் வெவ்வேறு மொழி குழுக்களாக பிரிக்கப்பட்டனர். அவனுடைய சகோதரன் பெயர் யொக்தான்.

And to Eber have been born two sons, the name of the one [is] Peleg, for in his days hath the land been divided, and the name of his brother is Joktan.

20 யொக்தான் என்பவன் அல்மோதாத், செலேப், அசர்மாவேத், யேராகு,

And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

21 அதோராம், ஊசால், திக்லா,

and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,

22 ஏபால், அபிமாயேல், சேபா,

and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

23 ஓப்பீர், ஆவிலா, யோபாப் ஆகியோரின் தகப்பன். இவர்களே யொக்தானின் மகன்கள்.

and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these [are] sons of Joktan.

24 சேம், அர்பக்சாத், சேலா;

Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,

25 ஏபேர், பேலேகு, ரெகூ,

Eber, Peleg, Reu,

26 செரூகு, நாகோர், தேராகு,

Serug, Nahor, Terah,

27 ஆபிராமாகிய ஆபிரகாம்.

Abram — he [is] Abraham.

28 ஆபிரகாமின் மகன்கள்: ஈசாக்கு, இஸ்மயேல் என்பவர்கள்.

Sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.

29 அவர்களின் சந்ததிகள் இதுவே: நெபாயோத் இஸ்மயேலின் மூத்த மகன், பின்பு கேதார், அத்பியேல், மிப்சாம்;

These [are] their generations: first-born of Ishmael, Nebaioth, and Kedar, and Adheel, and Mibsam,

30 மிஷ்மா, தூமா, மாசா, ஆதாத், தேமா,

Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,

31 யெத்தூர், நாபீஸ், கேத்மா என்பவர்கள். இவர்கள் இஸ்மயேலின் மகன்கள்.

Jetur, Naphish, and Kedema. These are sons of Ishmael.

32 ஆபிரகாமின் மறுமனையாட்டி கேத்தூராள் பெற்ற மகன்கள்: சிம்ரான், யக்க்ஷான், மேதான், மீதியான், இஸ்பாக், சூவா. யக்க்ஷானின் மகன்கள்: சேபா, தேதான்.

And sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.

33 மீதியானின் மகன்கள்: ஏப்பா, ஏப்பேர், ஆனோக்கு, அபிதா, எல்தாகா. இவர்கள் அனைவரும் கேத்தூராளின் சந்ததிகள்.

And sons of Midian: Ephah and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah; all these [are] sons of Keturah.

34 ஆபிரகாம் ஈசாக்கின் தகப்பன், ஈசாக்கின் மகன்கள்: ஏசா, இஸ்ரயேல்.

And Abraham begetteth Isaac. Sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.

35 ஏசாவின் மகன்கள்: எலிப்பாஸ், ரெகுயேல், எயூஷ், யாலாம், கோராகு.

Sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

36 எலிப்பாஸின் மகன்கள்: தேமான், ஓமார், செப்போ, கத்தாம், கேனாஸ்; திம்னா என்பவளுக்கு அமலேக்கு பிறந்தான்.

Sons of Eliphaz: Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

37 ரெகுயேலின் மகன்கள்: நாகாத், செராகு, சம்மா, மீசா.

Sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

38 சேயீரின் மகன்கள்: லோத்தான், சோபால், சிபியோன், ஆனாகு, திஷோன், ஏசேர், திஷான்.

And sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezar, and Dishan.

39 லோத்தானின் மகன்கள்: ஓரி, ஓமாம் என்பவர்கள். திம்னாள் லோத்தானின் சகோதரி.

And sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam, and sister of Lotan [is] Timna.

40 சோபாலின் மகன்கள்: அல்வான், மானகாத், ஏபால், செப்பி, ஓனாம். சிபியோனின் மகன்கள்: அயா, ஆனாகு.

Sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And sons of Zideon: Aiah and Anah.

41 ஆனாகின் மகன்: திஷோன். திஷோனுடைய மகன்கள்: எம்தான், எஸ்பான், இத்ரான், கெரான்.

The sons of Anah: Dishon. and sons of Dishon: Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

42 ஏசேருடைய மகன்கள்: பில்கான், சகவான், யாக்கான். திஷானுடைய மகன்கள்: ஊத்ஸ், அரான்.

Sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zavan, Jakan. Sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.

43 இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களை ஒரு அரசர் ஆட்சி செய்யுமுன், ஏதோம் நாட்டில் அரசாண்ட அரசர்கள்: பேயோரின் மகன் பேலா; அவனுடைய பட்டணம் தின்காபா எனப் பெயரிடப்பட்டது.

And these [are] the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before the reigning of a king of the sons of Israel: Bela son of Beor, and the name of his city [is] Dinhabah.

44 பேலா இறந்தபின்பு போஸ்றாவைச் சேர்ந்த சேராகின் மகன் யோபாப் அவனுக்குப்பின் அரசனானான்.

And Bela dieth, and reign in his stead doth Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrali;

45 யோபாப் இறந்தபின்பு அவனுடைய இடத்தில் தேமான் நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த உஷாம் அரசனானான்.

and Jobab dieth, and reign in his stead doth Husham from the land of the Temanite;

46 உஷாம் இறந்தபின்பு, மோவாப் நாட்டிலே மீதியானியரை முறியடித்த பேதாதின் மகன் ஆதாத் அவனுடைய இடத்தில் அரசனானான். இவனுடைய பட்டணம் ஆவீத் எனப் பெயரிடப்பட்டது.

and Husham dieth, and reign in his stead doth Hadad, son of Bedad (who smiteth Midian in the field of Moab) and the name of his city [is] Avith;

47 ஆதாத் இறந்தபின்பு அவனுடைய இடத்தில் மஸ்ரேக்கா என்னும் இடத்தைச் சேர்ந்த சம்லா அரசனானான்.

and Hadad dieth, and reign in his stead doth Samlah from Masrekah;

48 சம்லா இறந்தபின்பு, ஆற்றின் அருகில் உள்ள ரெகொபோத் என்னுமிடத்தைச் சேர்ந்த சாவூல் அவனுடைய இடத்தில் அரசனானான்.

and Samlah dieth, and reign in his stead doth Shaul from Rehoboth of the River;

49 சாவூல் இறந்தபின்பு அவனுடைய இடத்தில் அக்போரின் மகன் பாகால்கானான் அரசனானான்.

and Shaul dieth, and reign in his stead doth Baal-Hanan son of Achbor;

50 பாகால்கானான் இறந்தபின்பு, அவனுடைய இடத்தில் ஆதாத் அரசனானான். இவனது பட்டணம் பாகு எனப் பெயரிடப்பட்டது. இவனது மனைவியின் பெயர் மெகேதபேல்; இவள் மத்ரேத்தின் மகளும் மேசகாபின் பேத்தியுமாவாள்.

and Baal-Hanan dieth, and reign in his stead doth Hadad, and the name of his city [is] Pai, and the name of his wife [is] Mehetabel daughter of Matred, daughter of Me-Zahab; Hadad also dieth.

51 ஆதாத்தும் இறந்தான். ஏதோமின் பிரதானமானவர்கள்: திம்னா, அல்வா, ஏதேத்,

And chiefs of Edom are: chief Timnah, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth,

52 அகோலிபாமா, ஏலா, பினோன்,

chief Aholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,

53 கேனாஸ், தேமான், மிப்சார்,

chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,

54 மக்தியேல், ஈராம். இவர்களே ஏதோமின் வம்சத்தலைவர்கள்.

chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These [are] chiefs of Edom.
