Roman 13
1 Nyi mvnwng ngv istet tujupkunam gv gaam am tvvdubv rirungdunv, okv ogulvgavbolo Pwknvyarnv gv tulwknam kaama bv istet tujupkunam lo rima dunv, okv tujupkunamv Pwknvyarnv gv lokv aadunv.
Let every soul be subject to the authorities that are above [him]. For there is no authority except from God; and those that exist are set up by God.
2 Tujupkunam sum yvvdw tulwkmabv riya dunv vv Pwknvyarnv gv ogugo orto jidudw um tulwkmabv ridunv; okv yvvdw vbvridunv hv atubonga jwngkadaka kolo laalwk sureku.
So that he that sets himself in opposition to the authority resists the ordinance of God; and they who [thus] resist shall bring sentence of guilt on themselves.
3 Holvgabv yvvbunudw alvnvbv ridunv hv rigvdogvnv vdwa busunam kaama dunv, vbvritola yvvdw alvmanv bv ridunv vv busu gvvdubv ridu. No oogv tujupkunam um busumanam gobv ridubv mvngdunvre? Vbvrikubolo alvnv ogudw um ritolaka vvkubolo nam bunu hartv reku,
For rulers are not a terror to a good work, but to an evil [one]. Dost thou desire then not to be afraid of the authority? practise [what is] good, and thou shalt have praise from it;
4 ogulvgavbolo bunu Pwknvyarnv pakbu bv rinam lvgabv noogv atubogv alvnam lvgabv ridung dunv. Vbvritola nonuno alvmabv ribolo, vbvrikunamv nonuno bunua busu toka, ogulvgavbolo bunugv jwkrwv jvjvklv mvrit kunam bv ridunv. Bunu Pwknvyarnv gv pakbu bv ridu okv yvvdw rimur dunv um Pwknvyarnv gv mvritririt nvnv nga mvnvrinv do.
for it is God's minister to thee for good. But if thou practisest evil, fear; for it bears not the sword in vain; for it is God's minister, an avenger for wrath to him that does evil.
5 Holvkwng bv tujupkunam vdwgv gaam am tvvrung tvka—ogulvgavbolo vv Pwknvyarnv gv mvrit jinam lvga mvngchikma, vbvrinamv noogv haapok lokv nonu omkv mvngnam lvgabv ridunv.
Wherefore it is necessary to be subject, not only on account of wrath, but also on account of conscience.
6 Svkv gv lvgabvka nonuno ogubv lampu dordunv, ogulvgavbolo tujupkunam vdwv vdwlo kudungkua nga rijabrigap la rinamv bunu Pwknvyarnv gv lvgabv ridunv.
For on this account ye pay tribute also; for they are God's officers, attending continually on this very thing.
7 Vbvrikubolo, Dortoka, bunua ogugo dorsvgo doodubolo, bunua dortoka atubonga okv yikungyira nga dorji nvnga dortoka okv bunu mvnwng nga mvngdv okv paknama kaatamla ritolaka.
Render to all their dues: to whom tribute [is due], tribute; to whom custom, custom; to whom fear, fear; to whom honour, honour.
8 Yvv gvka kudungkua dvdu arwnglo doyoka—nonu gvlo kudungkua dvdu ngv ajin anyingnga pakmisinam yangv mvngchikv. Yvvdw vbv tvvla ribuv vv Pvbv nga tvvdunv.
Owe no one anything, unless to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the law.
9 Gamki kunam si vbv mindu, “yokarchokar yoka; gwngrw gwkyoka; dvcho choyoka; kvvbigv oguogu doonam am kav yoka”—so mvnwng dvdv nga, okv oguogu kvvbi gvgo gujeka, mvnwng nga si miyominchikla gamki kunam arwng lo gamkin gobv mindu, “nonuno atubongv oguaingbv paksu dudw vbvching namrwksuku aka pakmi sitoka.”
For, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not lust; and if there be any other commandment, it is summed up in this word, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 Vdwlo nonu kvvbiya pakredw, vdwloka um nonu rimur dubv rimare; paknamv, vbvrikubolo, Pvbv minam dvdv nga tvvnv gobv ridukunv.
Love works no ill to its neighbour; love therefore [is the] whole law.
11 No sum vbvrirung laka, ogulvgavbolo sum chinto laka nonugv yupnam lokv udwv noogv lvgabv aadu kunv. Vdwlo ngonu mvngjwng choto kudw um kaiyabv ngonugv ringlin kunamv nvchi dukunv
This also, knowing the time, that it is already time that we should be aroused out of sleep; for now [is] our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12 Kanv ngv vjvda vngbo dariku, pua ngv si takloyangv ungrap tvvduku. Kaju ngonu kanv lokv soogv ridungdakdung dunv sum kayu lakuju, okv Kaju ngonu pualo nyimak rimisinv dukubv idugo laala kujuka.
The night is far spent, and the day is near; let us cast away therefore the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13 Kaju ngonu atubongv rvbwngching bv rigv laju, alu loung lo doonv nyi gv aingbv—tvngkium kiamnv gobv riyoka, gwngmursingmur yoka, yalungyachung duyoka okv kavtav nvbv riyoka.
As in the day, let us walk becomingly; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and lasciviousness, not in strife and emulation.
14 Vbvritola Ahtu Jisu kristo gv idu am laatoka, okv noogv rimur ridung sum okv hang nyumchi dubv mvngnam am kayu tokuka.
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not take forethought for the flesh to [fulfil its] lusts.
