1 Yvvdw Jisunyi ringnvbaanv gobv mvngjwng dudw vv Pwknvyarnv gv kuu akobv ridu; okv yvvdw Abunyi pakdunv vv ninyigv kuu aka pakdu.
Every one who believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God; and every one who loves the Father, loves him also who is the Father’s Child.
2 Okv so si Pwknvyarnv gv umvuu am ngonu pakdunv vla ngonu oguaingbv chinsu dunv: vbvridunamv Pwknvyarnvnyi Paknam lokv okv ninyigv gamki nama tvvnam lokv.
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments.
3 Holvgabv ngonugv Pwknvyarnvnyi paknamv ninyigv gamki nga tvvnamv. Okv ninyigv gamkiv ngonu lvgabv achialvbv rika nyoma nvgobv rima,
For love to God means obeying his commandments; and his commandments are not irksome.
4 ogulvgavbolo Pwknvyarnv gv kuu ngv sichingmooku nga rigumyala dunv. Okv ngonugv mvngjwng sinam lokv sichingmooku sum ngonu rigum yadunv.
For whoever is a child of God is overcoming the world; and our faith is the victory that has overcome the world.
5 Yvvla sichingmooku sum rigum yajinv? Yvvnyiv mvngchikv Jisu Kristonyi Pwknvyarnv gv Kuunyilo ngv vla mvngjwng dunv.
And who it the one that is overcoming the world if not the man who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 Jisu Kristo ninyigv baptisma gv isi am okv ninyigv sinam gv oyi am aagv la aanv akin vvnv. Hv isi mvngchik ka aagv la aamato, vbvritola oyi okv isi am anyibabwng nga aagvto. Okv Dowv sum nw atubongv jvjvngv vla mintamjidu, ogulvgavbolo Dow si jvjv ngv.
Jesus Christ is he who came by water and blood, not by the water only, but by the water and by the blood. The spirit is he who bears testimony, because the Spirit is the truth.
7 Hoka mintam jijinv aomgo doodu:
For there are three who bear testimony, the Spirit, and the water,
8 Dow, Isi, okv oyiv; okv aom vv mvnwng ngv lvyin akinbv mintamjidu.
and the blood; and the three are one.
9 Ngonu nyia mindung bv minji nama mvngjwngdu; vbvritola Pwknvyarnv gv mintam jinamv achialvbv gwlwkyachok dunv, okv hv ninyigv kuunyilo gv lvkwng lo mintamto.
If we accept men’s testimony, the testimony of God is greater; for this is the testimony of God, that he has borne testimony concerning his Son.
10 Vkvlvgabv yvvdw Pwknvyarnv gv Kuunyilo am mvngjwng sidudw bunugv haapok lo mintam namsi doolwkdu; vbvrijvka yvvdw Pwknvyarnvnyi mvngjwng madudw ninyia mvvnv gobv mvdukunv, ogulvgavbolo Pwknvyarnv gv oguaingbv ninyigv Kuunyilo lvkwng lo mintam nama bunu jvjvngv vla mvngjwng madu.
He who believes on the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who does not believe God, has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son.
11 Soogv mintam namsi vbvridu: Pwknvyarnv ngonua turbwng nama jitoku, okv turnam si ninyigv kuunyilo gv lokv lindu. (aiōnios g166)
And the testimony is this, "God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." (aiōnios g166)
12 Yvvgvlo Kuunyilo vv doolwk dudw soogv turnamv doodu; yvvgvlo Pwknvyarnv gv kuunyilo ngv dooma dudw vv turnama paama.
He who has the Son has the life; he who has not the Son of God has not the life.
13 Ngoogv sum lvkdung dunv si nonuv turbwngnv singnam am paaduku vla chinmu dubv— Pwknvyarnv gv kuunyilo nga mvngjwng kunv ngv nonu. (aiōnios g166)
I have written these words to you so that you may know that you have eternal life, you who believe in the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)
14 Pwknvyarnv gv nvchilo doodubv ngonu gvlo pvktvpwkru namv doodunv ogulvgavbolo ninyigv mvnglwk lo ngonu ogugo ninyia kooredw ngonua tvvrinvpv vla ngonu mvngpv rungdu.
Now the confidence which we have in him is this, that he listens to us whenever we ask anything that is in accordance with his will.
15 Ngonu vdwgo ninyia koojvka hv ngonua tvvdu; okv si jvjvngv vla ngonu chindu, okv ngonu ogugo ninyi gvlo koodudw hv jidunv vla umka ngonu chindu.
And if we know that he is listening to us in what ever we are asking, we know that we obtain the petitions which we have made to him.
16 Nonu mvngjwngnv ako rimur go ridubv kaadu bolo, vv sinam lo vnggv jeyomadu, Pwknvyarnv gvlo nonu kumrung tvlaka vkvgvlvgabv turnam jire. Svkvnv minam si rimurla siji kolo rilwk manv nga mindu. Vbvritola rimur gonv vkvnv siji kolo vnggv jinvgo doodunv, okv ngo vkvnv vdw um Pwknvyarnvnyi kumrung tvka vla mima dunv.
If any one sees his brother committing a sin that is not deadly, he shall ask, and God will give him life, for any one who is not committing a deadly sin. There is a deadly sin; concerning that I do not say that he should pray.
17 Rigakpanam dvdv ngv rimure, vbvritola rimur gonv sikungoku lo vnggv manv goka doodunv.
All unrighteousness is sin; and there is sin that is not deadly.
18 Pwknvyarnv gv umvuu ngv rimur ribv mare vla ngonu chindu, vkvlgavbolo Pwknvyarnv gv Kuunyilo ngv bunua ringchum la ridu, okv bunua Alvmanv Angv oguguka rinap lwknyu lama dunv.
We know that whoever is a child of God is not habitually committing sin; but he who is God’s child guards himself, and the Evil One never touches him.
19 Nyiamooku soogv dvdv ngv Alvmanv gv rigvdogv kongv bv rijvka ngonu Pwknvyarnv gvbv ridunv vla ngonu chindu.
We know that we are of God, and the whole world is lying in the Evil One.
20 Pwknvyarnv gv kuunyilo ngv aala okv ngonua tvvchin nvnv nga jipvnv vla ngonu chindu, vkvlvgabv ngonu jvjvnv Pwknvyarnvnyi chindu. Ngonu jvjvnv Pwknvyarnv gv lvkobv akingobv rinam lokv—ninyigv kuunyilo Jisu kristo gv aralo akin gobv doodu. Si jvjvnv Pwknvyarnv ngv okv si turbwngnv singnam jiku ngv. (aiōnios g166)
And we know that the Son of God is come, and has granted us and understanding, so that we may come to know him who is true. And we are in him who is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
21 Ngoogv umvuu vdwv, nonuno atubongv mvvnv pwknvyarnv vdwa hima sula ritoka!
My little children, guard yourselves from idols.
