Mga Awit 92

1 Ito ay isang mabuting bagay para magbigay ng pasasalamat kay Yahweh at para umawit ng papuri sa iyong ngalan, Kataas-taasan,

Yahweh, it is good for people to thank you and to sing to praise you [MTY] who are greater than any other god.

2 para ipahayag ang iyong katapatan sa tipan sa umaga at ang iyong katotohanan tuwing gabi,

It is good to proclaim every morning that you faithfully love us, and each night [to sing songs that] declare that you always do what you have promised to do,

3 na may alpa na may sampung kuwerdas at may himig ng lira.

accompanied by [musicians playing] harps that have ten strings, and by the sounds made by a lyre.

4 Dahil ikaw, Yahweh, ay pinasaya mo ako sa pamamagitan ng iyong mga gawa. Aawit ako sa tuwa dahil sa gawa ng iyong mga kamay.

Yahweh, you have caused me to be glad; I sing joyfully because of what you [SYN] have done.

5 Napakadakila ng iyong mga gawa, Yahweh! Ang iyong kaisipan ay napakalalim.

Yahweh, the things that you do are great! But it is difficult for us to understand [all] that you think.

6 Hindi alam ng malupit na tao, ni maiintindihan ng hangal:

There are things [that you do] that foolish people cannot know about, things that stupid people cannot understand.

7 Kapag sumisibol ang masasama katulad ng damo, at kahit ang lahat ng gumagawa ng masama ay magtagumpay, mananatili silang nasa tiyak na kapahamakan magpakailanman.

They do not understand that although the number of wicked [people] increases [like blades of] grass do [SIM], and they prosper, they will be completely destroyed.

8 Pero ikaw, Yahweh, ay maghahari magpakailanman.

But Yahweh, you [will] exalted/be honored/rule) forever.

9 Sa katunayan, tingnan mo ang iyong mga kaaway, Yahweh; lahat ng gumagawa ng masama ay nakakalat.

Yahweh, your enemies will [certainly] die, and those who do wicked things will be defeated/scattered.

10 Itinaas mo ang aking sungay katulad ng sungay ng mabangis na toro; pinahiran mo ako ng sariwang langis.

But you have caused me to be as strong [MTY] as [SIM] a wild ox; you have caused me to be very joyful [MTY].

11 Nakita ng aking mga mata ang pagkabagsak ng aking mga kaaway; ang aking mga tainga ay narinig ang katapusan ng aking mga masasamang kaaway.

I [SYN] have seen you defeat my enemies; d I have heard those evil men wail/scream while they were being slaughtered.

12 Ang mga matutuwid ay yayabong katulad ng puno ng palma; ito ay lalago katulad ng isang sedar sa Lebanon.

But righteous [people] will prosper like [SIM] palm trees that grow well, or like [SIM] cedar [trees] that grow in Lebanon.

13 (Sila) ay nakatanim sa tahanan ni Yahweh; (sila) ay yayabong sa patyo ng ating Diyos.

[They are like the trees] that grow near the temple of Yahweh [in Jerusalem], those trees that are close to the courtyard of the temple of our God.

14 Namumunga (sila) kahit (sila) ay matanda na; nanatili silang sariwa at luntian,

[Even] when righteous people become old, they do many things [IDM] [that please God]. They remain strong and full of energy, [like trees that] [MET] remain full of sap.

15 para ihayag na si Yahweh ay makatuwiran. Siya ang aking bato, at walang hindi matuwid sa kaniya.

That shows that Yahweh is just; he is [like a huge] rock [under which I am safe/protected], and he never does anything that is wicked/wrong.
