Mga Awit 53
1 Sinasabi ng mangmang sa kaniyang puso, ''Walang Diyos.'' Masama (sila) at gumawa ng kasuklam-suklam na pagkakasala; walang sinuman ang gumagawa ng mabuti.
[Only] foolish people say to themselves, “There is no God!” People who say that are corrupt; they commit terrible sins; there is not one of them who does what is good/right.
2 Mula sa langit nakatanaw ang Diyos sa mga anak ng tao para tingnan kung may nakauunawa na naghahanap sa kaniya.
God looks down from heaven and sees humans; he looks to see if anyone is [very] wise, with the result that he seeks [to know] God.
3 Ang bawat isa sa kanila ay tumalikod; ang lahat ay naging marumi; wala ni isang gumagawa ng mabuti, wala, wala kahit isa.
[But] they are all morally corrupt; no one does what is good/right.
4 Wala ba silang nalalaman, silang gumagawa ng pagkakasala, silang mga kumakain ng aking bayan gaya ng pagkain ng tinapay pero hindi tumatawag sa Diyos?
Will all these evil people never learn [what God will do to them]? They act violently toward Yahweh’s people while eating the food that he provides, and they never pray to Yahweh.
5 (Sila) ay nasa kalagitnaan ng matinding pagkatakot, kahit na walang dahilan para matakot; dahil ikakalat ng Diyos ang mga buto ng sinumang nagsasama-sama laban sa inyo; ang ganiyang mga tao ay ilalagay sa kahihiyan dahil (sila) ay tinanggihan ng Diyos.
But [some day] those people will become terrified, like they have never been terrified before, because God will cause those who are separated from him to die, and he will [disrespect them by] scattering their bones. They have rejected God, so he will cause them to be [defeated and] completely disgraced.
6 O, ang kaligtasan ng Israel ay darating mula sa Sion! Kapag ibinalik na ng Diyos ang kaniyang bayan mula sa pagkakabihag, magdiriwang si Jacob at ang Israel ay magagalak!
I wish/desire that someone from Jerusalem [MTY] would come and rescue the Israeli [people]! God, when you bless your people again, [all] the Israeli [people, all the descendants of] Jacob, will rejoice.
