Mga Awit 30

1 Itinataas kita, Yahweh, dahil ibinangon mo ako at hindi pinahintulutan ang aking mga kalaban na magalak dahil sa akin.

Yahweh, I praise you because you rescued me. You did not allow [me to die], [with the result that] my enemies could gloat/rejoice.

2 Yahweh aking Diyos, humingi ako sa iyo ng tulong, at pinagaling mo ako.

Yahweh, my God, I called out for you to help [me when I was ill], and you healed me.

3 Yahweh, hinango mo ang aking kaluluwa mula sa Sheol; pinanatili mo akong buhay mula sa pagbaba sa libingan. (Sheol h7585)

You saved/restored me when I was dying [MTY]. I was nearly dead, but you caused me to get well again. (Sheol h7585)

4 Umawit ng mga papuri kay Yahweh, kayong bayan niyang matapat! Magbigay ng pasasalamat kapag naalaala ninyo ang kaniyang kabanalan.

All you who belong to Yahweh, sing praise to him! Think about what [God], the holy one, has done, and thank him!

5 Dahil ang kaniyang galit ay isang saglit lamang; pero ang kaniyang pabor ay panghabangbuhay. Ang pag-iyak ay dumarating sa gabi, pero ang kagalakan ay dumarating sa umaga.

When he becomes angry, he is angry for only a very short time [HYP], but he is good [to us] all of our life. We may cry during the night, but the next morning we will be joyful.

6 Buong tiwala kong sinabi, “Hindi ako kailanman mayayanig.”

As for me, when I had no troubles, I said [to myself], “No one will defeat me!”

7 Yahweh sa pamamagitan ng iyong pabor ako ay itinatag mo tulad ng isang matatag na bundok; pero kapag itinago mo ang iyong mukha, ako ay naligalig.

Yahweh, because you were good to me, at first you caused me to be safe [as though I was inside] [MET] a mountain. But then [I became ill, and I thought that] you had turned away from me, and I became afraid.

8 Umiyak ako sa iyo, Yahweh, at naghanap ng pabor mula sa aking Panginoon!

[Then] I called out to you, and I pleaded for you [to help me].

9 Anong pakinabang mayroon sa aking kamatayan, kung ako ay bababa sa libingan? Mapapapurihan ka ba ng alabok? Maipapahayag ba nito na ikaw ay mapagkakatiwalaan?

[I said], “Yahweh, (what will you gain if I die?/ you won’t gain anything if I die) [MTY]. (In what way will it benefit you?/it won’t benefit you at all) if I go to the place where the dead people are [RHQ]. Dead people are certainly not able to praise you [RHQ], and they are not able to tell others that you are trustworthy [RHQ]!

10 Pakinggan mo, Yahweh, at ako ay kaawaan! Yahweh, ikaw ay maging katuwang ko.

Yahweh, listen to me, and be merciful to me! Yahweh, help me!”

11 Pinalitan mo ang aking pagluluksa ng pagsasayaw; hinubad mo ang aking sako at dinamitan ako ng kagalakan.

But [now you have healed me], and you have caused me to change from being sad to dancing [joyfully]. You have taken away the clothes that showed that I was very sad and you have given me clothes that showed that I was [very] joyful.

12 Kaya ngayon ang naparangalan kong puso ay aawit nang papuri sa iyo at hindi mananahimik; Yahweh aking Diyos, magbibigay ako ng pasasalamat sa iyo magpakailanman!

So I will not be silent; I will sing out [loudly] to praise you. Yahweh, you are my God, and I will thank you forever.
