2 Mga Cronica 19
1 Bumalik nang ligtas si Jehoshafat na hari ng Juda sa kaniyang bahay sa Jerusalem.
And Josaphat king of Juda returned to his house at Jerusalem.
2 Lumabas si propetang Jehu na anak ni Hanani upang salubungin siya at sinabi kay Haring Jehoshafat, “Dapat mo bang tulungan ang masama? Dapat mo bang mahalin ang mga namumuhi kay Yahweh? Dahil sa ginawa mong ito, nasa iyo ang galit mula kay Yahweh.
And there went out to meet him Jeu the prophet the son of Anani, and said to him, King Josaphat, do you help a sinner, or act friendly towards one hated of the Lord? Therefore has wrath come upon you from the Lord.
3 Gayon pa man, may ilang mabuting makikita sa iyo, iyon ay ang pagtanggal mo ng mga imahen ni Ashera palabas sa lupain, at itinakda mo ang iyong puso na hanapin ang Diyos.”
Nevertheless [some] good things have been found in you, forasmuch as you did remove the groves from the land of Juda, and did direct your heart to seek after the Lord.
4 Sa Jerusalem tumira si Jehoshafat, at muli niyang pinuntahan ang mga tao, mula sa Beer-seba hanggang sa burol na lupain ng Efraim at pinanumbalik sila kay Yahweh, ang Diyos ng kanilang mga ninuno.
And Josaphat lived in Jerusalem: and he again went out amongst the people from Bersabee to the mount of Ephraim, and turned them back to the Lord God of their fathers.
5 Naglagay siya ng mga hukom sa lupain, sa bawat pinatibay na lungsod ng Juda.
And he appointed judges in all the strong cities of Juda, city by city.
6 Sinabi niya sa mga hukom, “Pag-aralan ninyo ang dapat ninyong gawin, dahil hindi kayo humahatol para sa mga tao, ngunit para kay Yahweh, siya ay nasa inyo sa paghahatol.
And he said to the judges, Take good heed what you do: for you judge not for man, but for the Lord, and with you are matters of judgement.
7 At ngayon, hayaan ninyong ang takot kay Yahweh ang sumainyo. Maging maingat kapag kayo ay hahatol, sapagkat walang kawalan ng katarungan kay Yahweh na ating Diyos, ni walang pinapanigan o pagtanggap ng suhol.”
And now let the fear of the Lord be upon you, and be wary, and do [your duty]: for there is no unrighteousness with the Lord our God, neither [is it for him] to respect persons, nor take bribes.
8 Bukod dito, nagtalaga si Jehoshafat ng ilan sa mga Levita at mga pari sa Jerusalem, at ilan sa mga pinuno ng mga sinaunang sambahayan ng Israel, para sa pagsasagawa ng paghatol para kay Yahweh, at para sa mga pagtatalo. Tumira sila sa Jerusalem.
Moreover Josaphat appointed in Jerusalem some of the priests, and Levites, and heads of houses of Israel, for the judgement of the Lord, and to judge the dwellers in Jerusalem.
9 Tinagubilinan niya sila, sinasabi, “Bilang paggalang kay Yahweh, ito ang gagawin ninyo nang tapat at may matuwid na puso:
And he charged them, saying, Thus shall you do in the fear of the Lord, in truth and with a perfect heart.
10 Kapag may dumating na pagtatalo mula sa inyong mga kapatid na nakatira sa kanilang lungsod, kung dahil sa pagdanak ng dugo, kung dahil sa mga batas o kautusan, palatuntunan o utos, dapat ninyo silang balaan upang hindi sila magkasala laban kay Yahweh, at upang ang galit ay hindi bumaba sa inyo at sa inyong mga kapatid. Kung kikilos kayo sa ganitong paraan, hindi kayo magkakasala.
Whatsoever man of your brethren that dwell in their cities [shall bring] the cause that comes before you, between blood [and] blood, and between precept and commandment, and ordinances and judgements, you shall even decide for them; so they shall not sin against the Lord, and there shall not be wrath upon you, and upon your brethren: thus you shall do, and you shall not sin.
11 Tingnan ninyo, si Amarias na pinakapunong pari ang siyang mangangasiwa sa inyo sa lahat ng bagay na nauukol kay Yahweh. Si Zebedias na anak ni Ismael na pinuno ng sambahayan ng Juda, ang mamamahala sa lahat ng bagay patungkol sa hari. Gayon din naman, ang mga Levita ay magiging opisyal na maglilingkod sa inyo. Kumilos nang may tapang, at manahan nawa si Yahweh sa mga mabubuti.
And, behold, Amarias the priest is head over you in every matter of the Lord; and Zabdias the son of Ismael is head over the house of Juda in every matter of the king; and the scribes and Levites are before you: be strong and active, and the Lord shall be with the good.
