Mga Awit 148
1 Purihin ninyo ang Panginoon. Purihin ninyo ang Panginoon mula sa mga langit: purihin ninyo siya sa mga kaitaasan.
Praise Yahweh! Praise him, from up in heaven; praise him from way up in the sky!
2 Purihin ninyo siya, ninyong lahat niyang mga anghel: purihin ninyo siya, buo niyang hukbo.
All you angels who belong to him, praise him! All you who are in the armies of heaven, praise him!
3 Purihin ninyo siya, araw at buwan: purihin ninyo siya, ninyong lahat na mga bituing maliwanag.
Sun and moon, [you also] praise him! You shining stars, you praise him!
4 Purihin ninyo siya, ninyong mga langit ng mga langit, at ninyong tubig na nasa itaas ng mga langit.
You highest heavens, praise him! And you waters that are high above the sky, praise him!
5 Purihin nila ang pangalan ng Panginoon: sapagka't siya'y nagutos, at sila'y nangalikha.
I want [all of] these to praise Yahweh [MTY] because by commanding [them to exist], he created them.
6 Kaniya rin namang ipinagtatatag magpakailan-kailan man: siya'y gumawa ng pasiya na hindi mapapawi.
He determined the places where they should be [in the sky], and he commanded that they should be there forever. They cannot disobey that command!
7 Purihin ninyo ang Panginoon mula sa lupa, Ninyong mga buwaya, at lahat ng mga kalaliman:
And everything on the earth, praise Yahweh! You [huge] sea monsters and [everything else that is] deep [in the ocean],
8 Apoy at granizo, nieve at singaw; unos na hangin, na gumaganap ng kaniyang salita:
and fire and hail, and snow and frost, and strong winds that obey what he commands, [I tell] all of you to praise Yahweh!
9 Mga bundok at lahat ng mga gulod; mga mabungang kahoy at lahat ng mga cedro:
Hills and mountains, fruit trees and cedar [trees],
10 Mga hayop at buong kawan; nagsisiusad na bagay at ibong lumilipad:
all the wild animals and all [you] cattle, and the (reptiles/creatures that scurry across the ground), and [all] the birds, [I tell all of them to praise Yahweh]!
11 Mga hari sa lupa at lahat ng mga bayan; mga pangulo at lahat ng mga hukom sa lupa:
You kings on this earth and all the people [that you rule], you princes and all [other] rulers,
12 Mga binata at gayon din ng mga dalaga; mga matanda at mga bata:
you young men and young women, you old people and children, [everyone, praise Yahweh!]
13 Purihin nila ang pangalan ng Panginoon; sapagka't ang kaniyang pangalan magisa ay nabunyi: ang kaniyang kaluwalhatian ay nasa itaas ng lupa at mga langit.
I want them [all] to praise Yahweh [MTY] because he is greater than anyone else. His glory is greater than [anything on] the earth or [in] heaven.
14 At itinaas niya ang sungay ng kaniyang bayan, ang papuri ng lahat niyang mga banal; sa makatuwid baga'y ng mga anak ni Israel, na bayang malapit sa kaniya. Purihin ninyo ang Panginoon.
He caused us, his people, to be strong in order that we, his people, we Israeli people (who are very precious to him/whom he loves very much), would praise him. So praise Yahweh!
