1 Samuel 17
1 Ngayo'y pinisan ng mga Filisteo ang kanilang hukbo upang bumaka at sila'y nagpipisan sa Socho, na nauukol sa Juda, at nagsihantong sa pagitan ng Socho at ng Azeca, sa Ephesdammim.
And they gathered [the] Philistines armies their for battle and they were gathered Socoh which [belongs] to Judah and they encamped between Socoh and between Azekah in Ephes Dammim.
2 At nagpipisan si Saul at ang mga lalake ng Israel, at nagsihantong sa libis ng Ela, at nagsihanay sa pakikipagbaka laban sa mga Filisteo.
And Saul and [the] man of Israel they were gathered and they encamped in [the] valley of Elah and they deployed battle to meet [the] Philistines.
3 At nagsitayo ang mga Filisteo sa isang dako sa bundok, at tumayo ang Israel sa kabilang dako sa bundok: at may isang libis sa pagitan nila.
And [the] Philistines [were] standing to the mountain from this and Israel [were] standing to the mountain from this and the valley [was] between them.
4 At lumabas ang isang bayani sa kampamento ng mga Filisteo na nagngangalang Goliath, taga Gath, na ang taas ay anim na siko at isang dangkal.
And he came out [the] man of the champions from [the] camps of [the] Philistines [was] Goliath name his from Gath height his [was] six cubits and a span.
5 At siya'y mayroong isang turbanteng tanso, sa kaniyang ulo, at siya'y nasusuutan ng isang baluti sa katawan; at ang bigat ng baluti ay limang libong siklong tanso.
And a helmet of bronze [was] on head his and body armor of scales he [was] clothed and [the] weight of the body armor [was] five thousand shekels bronze.
6 At siya'y mayroong kasuutang tanso sa kaniyang mga hita, at isang sibat na tanso sa pagitan ng kaniyang mga balikat.
And leg armor of bronze [was] on feet his and a javelin of bronze [was] between shoulders his.
7 At ang puluhan ng kaniyang sibat ay gaya ng panghabi ng manghahabi; at ang dulo ng kaniyang sibat ay may anim na raang siklong bakal ang bigat: at ang kaniyang tagadala ng kalasag ay nauuna sa kaniya.
(And [the] wood of *Q(K)*) spear his [was] like a beam of weavers and [the] blade of spear his [was] six hundred shekels iron and [the] bearer of the body shield [was] walking before him.
8 At siya'y tumayo at humiyaw sa mga hukbo ng Israel, at nagsabi sa kanila, Bakit kayo'y lumabas na nagsihanay sa pakikipagbaka? hindi ba ako'y Filisteo, at kayo'y mga lingkod ni Saul? pumili kayo ng isang lalake sa inyo, at pababain ninyo siya sa akin.
And he stood and he called out to [the] battle lines of Israel and he said to them why? do you come out to deploy battle ¿ not [am] I the Philistine and [are] you? servants of Saul commission for yourselves a man so he may come down to me.
9 Kung siya'y makalaban sa akin at mapatay ako, magiging alipin nga ninyo kami; nguni't kung ako'y manaig laban sa kaniya, at mapatay ko siya ay magiging alipin nga namin kayo at maglilingkod sa amin.
If he will be able to fight with me and he will strike down me and we will become of you slaves and if I I will prevail to him and I will strike down him and you will become of us slaves and you will serve us.
10 At sinabi ng Filisteo, Aking hinahamon ang mga hukbo ng Israel sa araw na ito; bigyan ninyo ako ng isang lalake, upang maglaban kami.
And he said the Philistine I I defy [the] battle lines of Israel the day this give to me a man so let us fight together.
11 At nang marinig ni Saul at ng buong Israel ang mga salitang yaon ng Filisteo, sila'y nanglupaypay, at natakot na mainam.
And he heard Saul and all Israel [the] words of the Philistine these and they were dismayed and they were afraid exceedingly.
12 Si David nga ay anak niyaong Ephrateo sa Bethlehem-juda, na ang pangala'y Isai; at may walong anak: at ang lalaking yaon ay matanda na sa mga kaarawan ni Saul na totoong napakatanda sa gitna ng mga tao.
And David [was] a son of a man an Ephrathite this from Beth-lehem Judah and name his [was] Jesse and [belonged] to him eight sons and the man in [the] days of Saul he was old he had gone among men.
13 At ang tatlong pinakamatandang anak ni Isai ay naparoong sumunod kay Saul sa pakikipagbaka: at ang mga pangalan ng kaniyang tatlong anak na naparoon sa pakikipagbaka ay si Eliab na panganay, at ang kasunod niya ay si Abinadab, at ang ikatlo ay si Samma.
And they had gone [the] three [the] sons of Jesse old they had gone after Saul to battle and [the] name of - [the] three of sons his who they had gone in the battle [was] Eliab the firstborn and second his [was] Abinadab and the third [was] Shammah.
14 At si David ang bunso: at ang tatlong pinakamatanda ay sumunod kay Saul.
And David he [was] the young and three old they had gone after Saul.
15 Nguni't si David ay nagpaparoo't parito mula kay Saul upang pasabsabin ang mga tupa ng kaniyang ama sa Bethlehem.
And David [was] going and [was] returning from with Saul to shepherd [the] flock of father his Beth-lehem.
16 At lumalapit ang Filisteo sa umaga at hapon, at humarap na apat na pung araw.
And he drew near the Philistine rising early and [the] evening darkened and he took his stand forty day[s].
17 At sinabi ni Isai kay David na kaniyang anak, Dalhin mo ngayon sa iyong mga kapatid ang isang epa nitong trigo na sinangag, at itong sangpung tinapay, at dalhin mong madali sa kampamento, sa iyong mga kapatid;
And he said Jesse to David son his take please to brothers your [the] ephah of roasted grain this and ten bread[s] this and bring [them] quickly the camp to brothers your.
18 At dalhin mo ang sangpung kesong ito sa kapitan ng kanilang libo, at tingnan mo kung ano ang kalagayan ng iyong mga kapatid, at kumuha ka ng pinakakatunayan.
And [the] ten [the] portions of milk these you will bring to [the] commander of the thousand and brothers your you will pay attention to welfare and pledge their you will take.
19 Si Saul nga, at sila at ang lahat ng mga lalake ng Israel ay nasa libis ng Ela, na nakikipaglaban sa mga Filisteo.
And Saul and they and every man of Israel [are] in [the] valley of Elah fighting with [the] Philistines.
20 At si David ay bumangong maaga sa kinaumagahan, at iniwan ang tupa na may isang tagapagalaga, at nagdala at yumaon, na gaya ng iniutos sa kaniya ni Isai; at siya'y naparoon sa kinaroroonan ng mga karo, habang ang hukbo na lumalabas sa pakikipaglaban ay sumisigaw ng pakikipagbaka.
And he rose early David in the morning and he left the flock with a watchman and he lifted up and he went just as he had commanded him Jesse and he came the camp towards and the army which was going out to the battle line and they shouted a war cry in the battle.
21 At ang Israel at ang mga Filisteo ay nakahanay na sa pagbabaka, hukbo laban sa hukbo.
And it deployed Israel and [the] Philistines battle line to meet battle line.
22 At iniwan ni David ang kaniyang daladalahan sa kamay ng tagapagingat ng daladalahan, at tumakbo sa hukbo, at naparoon, at bumati sa kaniyang mga kapatid.
And he left David the baggage from with him on [the] hand of [the] keeper of the baggage and he ran the battle line and he came and he asked of brothers his to welfare.
23 At sa kaniyang pakikipagusap sa kanila, narito, dumating ang bayani, ang Filisteo na taga Gath, na Goliath ang pangalan, mula sa hanay ng mga Filisteo, at nagsalita ng ayon sa mga gayon ding salita: at narinig ni David.
And he - [was] speaking with them and there! [the] man of the champions [was] coming up [was] Goliath the Philistine name his from Gath (from [the] battle lines of *Q(K)*) [the] Philistines and he spoke according to the words these and he heard David.
24 At lahat ng mga lalake sa Israel pagkakita sa lalaking yaon ay tumakas mula sa kaniyang harapan, at natakot na mainam.
And every man of Israel when saw they the man and they fled from before him and they were afraid exceedingly.
25 At ang mga lalake ng Israel ay nagsabi, Nakita ba ninyo ang lalaking iyan na sumasampa? Tunay na sumasampa siya upang manghamon sa Israel: at mangyayari, na ang lalaking makapatay sa kaniya, ay payayamanin ng hari ng malaking kayamanan, at ibibigay sa kaniya ang kaniyang anak na babae, at palalayain sa Israel ang sangbahayan ng kaniyang ama.
And he said - [the] man of Israel ¿ have you seen the man who comes up this for to defy Israel [he is] coming up and it will be the man who he will strike down him he will make rich him the king - rich[es] great and daughter his he will give to him and [the] house of father his he will make free in Israel.
26 At nagsalita si David sa mga lalaking nakatayo sa siping niya, na nagsasabi, Ano ang gagawin sa lalaking makapatay sa Filisteong ito, at mag-alis sa Israel ng kadustaang ito? sapagka't sinong Filisteong ito na hindi tuli na siya'y humahamon sa mga hukbo ng buhay na Dios?
And he said David to the men who were standing with him saying what? will it be done for the man who he will strike down the Philistine this and he will remove reproach from on Israel that who? [is] the Philistine uncircumcised this that he has defied [the] battle lines of God living.
27 At sumagot sa kaniya ang bayan, ng ganitong paraan, na sinabi, Ganito ang gagawin sa lalake na makapatay sa kaniya.
And it said to him the people according to the manner this saying thus it will be done for the man who he will strike down him.
28 At narinig ni Eliab na kaniyang pinakamatandang kapatid, nang siya'y magsalita sa mga lalake; at ang galit ni Eliab ay nagalab laban kay David, at kaniyang sinabi, Bakit ka lumusong dito? at kanino mo iniwan ang ilang tupang yaon sa ilang? Talastas ko ang iyong kahambugan, at ang kalikutan ng iyong puso; sapagka't ikaw ay lumusong upang iyong makita ang pagbabaka.
And he heard Eliab brother his old when spoke he to the men and it burned [the] anger of Eliab on David and he said - why? this have you come down and with whom? have you left [the] fewness of the sheep those in the wilderness I I know arrogance your and [the] wickedness of heart your that so as to see the battle you have come down.
29 At sinabi ni David, Anong aking ginawa ngayon? Wala bang dahilan?
And he said David what? have I done now ¿ not a word [was] it.
30 At tinalikdan niya siya na napatungo sa iba, at siya'y nagsalita ng gayon ding paraan: at sinagot siya uli ng bayan na gaya ng una.
And he turned away from beside him to [the] front of another [person] and he said according to the manner this and they brought back him the people word according to the word the former.
31 At nang marinig ang mga salita na sinalita ni David, ay sinaysay nila sa harap ni Saul; at siya'y ipinasundo niya.
And they were heard the words which he spoke David and people told before Saul and he sent for him.
32 At sinabi ni David kay Saul, Huwag manglupaypay ang puso ng sinoman dahil sa kaniya; ang iyong lingkod ay yayaon at makikipaglaban sa Filisteong ito.
And he said David to Saul may not it fall [the] heart of anyone on him servant your he will go and he will fight with the Philistine this.
33 At sinabi ni Saul kay David: Hindi ka makaparoroon laban sa Filisteong ito upang makipaglaban sa kaniya: sapagka't ikaw ay isang bata, at siya'y isang lalaking mangdidigma mula sa kaniyang pagkabata.
And he said Saul to David not you will be able to go against the Philistine this to fight with him for [are] a youth you and he [is] a man of war since youth his.
34 At sinabi ni David kay Saul, Ang iyong lingkod ay nagaalaga ng mga tupa ng kaniyang ama; at pagka pumaroon ang isang leon, o isang oso, at kinukuha ang isang kordero sa kawan,
And he said David to Saul shepherding he was servant your for father his the flock and it came the lion and with the bear and it carried off a sheep from the flock.
35 Ay lumalabas akong hinahabol ko siya, at aking sinasaktan, at aking inililigtas sa kaniyang bibig: at pagka dinadaluhong ako ay aking pinapangahan, at aking sinasaktan, at aking pinapatay.
And I went out after it and I struck it and I rescued [it] from mouth its and it rose up on me and I took hold on beard its and I struck it and I killed it.
36 Pinapatay ng iyong lingkod ang leon at gayon din ang oso: at ang Filisteong ito na hindi tuli ay magiging isa sa kanila, yamang kaniyang hinahamon ang mga hukbo ng Dios na buhay.
Both the lion as well as the bear he has struck down servant your and he will be the Philistine uncircumcised this like one from them for he has defied [the] battle lines of God living.
37 At sinabi ni David, Ang Panginoon na nagligtas sa akin sa mga pangamot ng leon, at sa pangamot ng oso, ay siyang magliligtas sa akin sa kamay ng Filisteong ito. At sinabi ni Saul kay David, Yumaon ka, at ang Panginoon ay sasa iyo.
And he said David Yahweh who he delivered me from [the] hand of the lion and from [the] hand of the bear he he will deliver me from [the] hand of the Philistine this. And he said Saul to David go and Yahweh he will be with you.
38 At sinandatahan ni Saul si David ng kaniyang mga sandata, at kaniyang inilagay ang isang turbanteng tanso sa kaniyang ulo, at kaniyang sinuutan siya ng isang baluti sa katawan.
And he clothed Saul David garments his and he put a helmet of bronze on head his and he clothed him body armor.
39 At ibinigkis ni David, ang tabak niya sa kaniyang sandata, at kaniyang tinikmang yumaon; sapagka't hindi pa niya natitikman. At sinabi ni David kay Saul, Hindi ako makayayaon na dala ko ang mga ito; sapagka't hindi ko pa natitikman. At pawang hinubad ni David sa kaniya.
And he girded David sword his over garments his and he fell short to walk for not he had put to [the] test and he said David to Saul not I will be able to walk in these [things] for not I have put to [the] test and he removed them David from on himself.
40 At tinangnan niya ang kaniyang tungkod sa kaniyang kamay, at pumili siya ng limang makinis na bato mula sa batis, at isinilid sa supot na kaniyang dala, sa makatuwid baga'y sa kaniyang supot pastor; at ang kaniyang panghilagpos ay nasa kaniyang kamay: at siya'y lumapit sa Filisteo.
And he took stick his in hand his and he chose for himself five smooth [ones] of stones - from the wadi and he put them in [the] bag of shepherds which [belonged] to him and in the pouch and sling his [was] in hand his and he drew near to the Philistine.
41 At nagpatuloy ang Filisteo at lumapit kay David; at ang lalake na may dala ng kalasag ay nangunguna sa kaniya.
And he came the Philistine coming and approaching to David and the man [the] bearer of the body shield [was] before him.
42 At nang tumingin ang Filisteo, at makita si David, ay kaniyang niwalan ng kabuluhan siya; sapagka't siya'y bata pa, at mapula ang pisngi, at may magandang bikas.
And he looked the Philistine and he saw David and he despised him for he was a youth and red with handsome of appearance.
43 At sinabi ng Filisteo kay David, Ako ba ay aso, na ikaw ay paririto sa akin na may mga tungkod? At nilait ng Filisteo si David sa pamamagitan ng kaniyang mga dios.
And he said the Philistine to David ¿ a dog [am] I that you [are] coming against me with sticks and he cursed the Philistine David by gods his.
44 At sinabi ng Filisteo kay David, Halika, at aking ibibigay ang iyong laman sa mga ibon sa himpapawid at sa mga hayop sa parang.
And he said the Philistine to David come! to me so let me give flesh your to [the] bird[s] of the heavens and to [the] animal[s] of the field.
45 Nang magkagayo'y sinabi ni David sa Filisteo, Ikaw ay naparirito sa akin na may tabak, at may malaking sibat at may kalasag; nguni't ako'y naparirito laban sa iyo sa pangalan ng Panginoon ng mga hukbo, ng Dios ng mga kawal ng Israel na iyong hinahamon.
And he said David to the Philistine you [are] coming against me with sword and with spear and with javelin and I [am] coming against you in [the] name of Yahweh of hosts [the] God of [the] battle lines of Israel whom you have defied.
46 Sa araw na ito ay ibibigay ka ng Panginoon sa aking kamay; at sasaktan kita, at pupugutin ko ang ulo mo; at ibibigay ko ang mga bangkay sa hukbo ng mga Filisteo sa mga ibon sa himpapawid sa araw na ito, at sa mababangis na hayop sa lupa; upang maalaman ng buong lupa na may Dios sa Israel:
The day this he will deliver up you Yahweh in hand my and I will strike down you and I will remove head your from on you and I will give [the] corpse[s] of [the] army of [the] Philistines the day this to [the] bird[s] of the heavens and to [the] animal[s] of the earth so they may know all the earth that there a God [belongs] to Israel.
47 At upang maalaman ng buong kapisanang ito na hindi nagliligtas ang Panginoon sa pamamagitan ng tabak o ng sibat: sapagka't ang pagbabakang ito ay sa Panginoon, at ibibigay niya kayo sa aming kamay.
So they may know all the assembly this that not by sword and by spear he saves Yahweh for [belongs] to Yahweh the battle and he will give you in hand our.
48 At nangyari, nang bumangon ang Filisteo, at sumulong at lumapit upang salubungin si David, na si David ay nagmadali, at tumakbo sa dako ng kawal upang salubungin ang Filisteo.
And it was that he arose the Philistine and he came and he drew near to meet David and he hurried David and he ran the battle line to meet the Philistine.
49 At isinuot ni David ang kaniyang kamay sa kaniyang supot; at kumuha roon ng isang bato, at inihilagpos, at tinamaan ang Filisteo sa kaniyang noo; at ang bato ay bumaon sa kaniyang noo, at nabuwal na pasubsob sa lupa.
And he sent David hand his into the bag and he took from there a stone and he slung [it] and he struck the Philistine to forehead his and it sank the stone in forehead his and he fell on face his [the] ground towards.
50 Sa gayo'y nanaig si David sa Filisteo sa pamamagitan ng isang panghilagpos at ng isang bato, at sinaktan ang Filisteo at pinatay niya siya; nguni't walang tabak sa kamay ni David.
And he was strong David more than the Philistine with the sling and with the stone and he struck down the Philistine and he killed him and [was] a sword there not in [the] hand of David.
51 Nang magkagayo'y tumakbo si David, at tinunghan ang Filisteo, at kinuha ang kaniyang tabak, at binunot sa kaniyang kaluban, at pinatay siya, at ipinagpugot ng kaniyang ulo. At nang makita ng mga Filisteo na ang kanilang bayani ay patay na, sila'y tumakas.
And he ran David and he stood to the Philistine and he took sword his and he drew out it from sheath its and he killed him and he cut off with it head his and they saw the Philistines that he had died mighty [man] their and they fled.
52 At nagsibangon ang mga lalake ng Israel at ng Juda, at humiyaw at hinabol ang mga Filisteo hanggang sa Gath, at sa mga pintuang-bayan ng Ecron. At ang mga sugatan sa mga Filisteo ay nabuwal sa daang patungo sa Saraim, hanggang sa Gath, at sa Ecron.
And they arose [the] men of Israel and Judah and they shouted a war cry and they pursued the Philistines until coming you [to] Gath and to [the] gates of Ekron and they fell [those] slain of [the] Philistines on [the] way of Shaaraim and to Gath and to Ekron.
53 At nagsibalik ang mga anak ni Israel sa paghabol sa mga Filisteo, at kanilang sinamsam ang kanilang kampamento.
And they returned [the] people of Israel from hotly pursuing after [the] Philistines and they plundered camps their.
54 At kinuha ni David ang ulo ng Filisteo, at dinala sa Jerusalem; nguni't kaniyang inilagay ang sandata niya sa kaniyang tolda.
And he took David [the] head of the Philistine and he brought it Jerusalem and weapons his he put in own tent his.
55 At nang makita ni Saul si David na lumalabas laban sa Filisteo, kaniyang sinabi kay Abner, na kapitan ng hukbo, Abner, kaninong anak ang batang ito? At sinabi ni Abner, Buhay ang iyong kaluluwa, Oh hari, hindi ko masabi.
And just as saw Saul David going out to meet the Philistine he said to Abner [the] commander of the army son of whom? this [is] the youth O Abner and he said Abner [by] [the] life of self your O king if I knew.
56 At sinabi ng hari, Usisain mo kung kaninong anak ang batang ito.
And he said the king ask you son of whom? this [is] the youth.
57 At pagbalik ni David sa pagpatay sa Filisteo, kinuha siya ni Abner, at dinala siya sa harap ni Saul na dala ang ulo ng Filisteo sa kaniyang kamay.
And just as returned David from striking down the Philistine and he took him Abner and he brought him before Saul and [the] head of the Philistine [was] in hand his.
58 At sinabi ni Saul sa kaniya, Kaninong anak ka, binata? At sumagot si David, Ako'y anak ng iyong lingkod na si Isai na Bethlehemita.
And he said to him Saul son of whom? [are] you O youth and he said David [the] son of servant your Jesse [the] Beth-lehemite.
