Psaltaren 47

1 För sångmästaren; av Koras söner; en psalm. Klappen i händerna, alla folk, höjen jubel till Gud med fröjderop.

To the choirmaster - of [the] sons of Korah a psalm. O all the peoples strike a palm shout for joy to God with [the] sound of a shout of joy.

2 Ty HERREN är den Högste, fruktansvärd är han, en stor konung över hela jorden.

For Yahweh [the] Most High [is] to be feared a king great over all the earth.

3 Han tvingar folk under oss och folkslag under våra fötter.

He subdues peoples under us and peoples under feet our.

4 Han utväljer åt oss vår arvedel, Jakobs, hans älskades, stolthet. (Sela)

He chooses for us inheritance our [the] pride of Jacob whom he loved (Selah)

5 Gud har farit upp under jubel, HERREN, under basuners ljud.

He has gone up God with a shout of joy Yahweh with [the] sound of a ram's horn.

6 Lovsjungen Gud, lovsjungen; lovsjungen vår konung, lovsjungen.

Sing praises to God sing praises sing praises to king our sing praises.

7 Ty Gud är konung över hela jorden; lovsjungen honom med en sång.

For [is] [the] king of all the earth God sing praises a poem.

8 Gud är nu konung över hedningarna, Gud har satt sig på sin heliga tron.

He reigns God over nations God he sits - on [the] throne of holiness his.

9 Folkens ypperste hava församlat sig till att bliva ett Abrahams Guds folk. Ty Gud tillhöra de som äro jordens sköldar; högt är han upphöjd.

Noble [people] of peoples - they have gathered [the] people of [the] God of Abraham for [belong] to God [the] shields of earth exceedingly he is exalted.
