Matteus 21
1 När de nu nalkades Jerusalem och kommo till Betfage vid Oljeberget, då sände Jesus åstad två lärjungar
When they drew near to Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent away two disciples,
2 och sade till dem: "Gån in i byn som ligger mitt framför eder, så skolen I strax finna en åsninna stå där bunden och en fåle bredvid henne; lösen dem och fören dem till mig.
saying to them, Go into the village over against you, and you will immediately find a donkey tied, and the colt with her: loosing, lead her to me.
3 Och om någon säger något till eder, så skolen I svara: 'Herren behöver dem'; då skall han strax släppa dem."
And if any one may say any thing to you, tell him, that the Lord hath need of them; and immediately he will send them away.
4 Detta har skett, för att det skulle fullbordas, som var sagt genom profeten som sade:
And all this took place, that the word spoken by the prophet might be fulfilled, saying,
5 "Sägen till dottern Sion: 'Se, din konung kommer till dig, saktmodig, ridande på en åsna, på en arbetsåsninnas fåle.'"
Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy King cometh, meek, and seated upon a donkey, even a colt, the progeny of the work-beast.
6 Och lärjungarna gingo åstad och gjorde såsom Jesus hade befallt dem
And the disciples, having gone and done as Jesus commanded them,
7 och ledde till honom åsninnan och fålen; och de lade sina mantlar på denne, och han satte sig därovanpå.
led the donkey, and the colt, and put their garments on them; and He sat on them.
8 Och folkskaran, som var mycket stor, bredde ut sina mantlar på vägen; men somliga skuro kvistar av träden och strödde på vägen.
A great multitude strewed their garments in the road: and others cut down the branches from the trees, and were strewing them in the road.
9 Och folket, både de som gingo före honom och de som följde efter, ropade och sade: "Hosianna Davids son! Välsignad vare han som kommer, i Herrens namn. Hosianna i höjden!"
And the multitudes going forward, and following, continued to cry out, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest!
10 När han så drog in i Jerusalem, kom hela staden i rörelse, och man frågade: "Vem är denne?"
And He having come into Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred, saying; Who is He?
11 Och folket sade: "Det är Jesus, profeten, från Nasaret i Galileen."
And the multitudes continued to say, He is the prophet Jesus, the one from Nazareth of Galilee.
12 Och Jesus gick in i helgedomen. Och han drev ut alla dem som sålde och köpte i helgedomen, och han stötte omkull växlarnas bord och duvomånglarnas säten.
And Jesus came into the temple of God, and cast out all the buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money-exchangers, and the seats of those selling the doves;
13 Och han sade till dem: "Det är skrivet: 'Mitt hus skall kallas ett bönehus.' Men I gören det till en rövarkula."
and He says to them, It has been written, My house shall be called a house of prayer: but you make it a den of thieves.
14 Och blinda och halta kommo fram till honom i helgedomen, och han botade dem.
And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple: and He healed them.
15 Men när översteprästerna och de skriftlärde sågo de under som han gjorde, och sågo barnen som ropade i helgedomen och sade: "Hosianna Davids son!", då förtröt detta dem;
And the chief priests and scribes seeing the wonderful things which He did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying; Hosanna to the son of David, were indignant,
16 och de sade till honom: "Hör du vad dessa säga?" Då svarade Jesus dem: "Ja; haven I aldrig läst: 'Av barns och spenabarns mun har du berett dig lov'?"
and said to Him, Do you hear what they are saying? And Jesus says to them, Yes: have you not read, That out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?
17 Därefter lämnade han dem och gick ut ur staden till Betania och stannade där över natten.
And having left them, He went out of the city into Bethany, and there spent the night.
18 När han sedan på morgonen gick in till staden igen, blev han hungrig.
And in the morning going into the city, He was hungry.
19 Och då han fick se ett fikonträd vid vägen, gick han fram till det, men fann intet därpå, utom allenast löv. Då sade han till det: "Aldrig någonsin mer skall frukt växa på dig." Och strax förtorkades fikonträdet. (aiōn g165)
And seeing one fig-tree near the road, He went to it, and found nothing on it, except leaves only. And He says to it, Let no fruit ever be from thee; and immediately the fig-tree withered away. (aiōn g165)
20 När lärjungarna sågo detta, förundrade de sig och sade: "Huru kunde fikonträdet så i hast förtorkas?"
And the disciples seeing, were astonished, saying, How did the fig-tree immediately wither away?
21 Då svarade Jesus och sade till dem: "Sannerligen säger jag eder: Om I haven tro och icke tvivlen, så skolen I icke allenast kunna göra sådant som skedde med fikonträdet, utan I skolen till och med kunna säga till detta berg: 'Häv dig upp och kasta dig i havet', och det skall ske.
And Jesus responding said to them, Truly I say unto you, if you may have faith, and doubt not, not only shall you do that of the fig-tree, but you shall say to this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea, and it will be done.
22 Och allt vad I med tro bedjen om i eder bön, det skolen I få."
All things whatsoever you may ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.
23 När han därefter hade kommit in i helgedomen, trädde översteprästerna och folkets äldste fram till honom, där han undervisade; och de sade: "Med vad myndighet gör du detta? Och vem har givit dig sådan myndighet?"
And the chief priests and elders of the people came to Him, while teaching, He having come into the temple, saying, By what authority are you doing these things? And who gave you this authority?
24 Jesus svarade och sade till dem: "Också jag vill ställa en fråga till eder; om I svaren mig på den, så skall ock jag säga eder med vad myndighet jag gör detta".
And Jesus responding, said to them, I ask you also one word, which if you may speak to me, I also will tell you by what authority I am doing these things:
25 Johannes' döpelse, varifrån var den: från himmelen eller från människor?" Då överlade de med varandra och sade: "Om vi svara: 'Från himmelen', så frågar han oss: 'Varför trodden I honom då icke?'
Whence was the baptism of John? from heaven or from men? And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we may say, From heaven; He will say to us, Why then did you not believe on him?
26 Men om vi svara: 'Från människor', då måste vi frukta för folket, ty alla hålla de Johannes för en profet."
But if we may say, From men: we fear the multitude, for all hold John as a prophet.
27 De svarade alltså Jesus och sade: "Vi veta det icke." Då sade ock han till dem: "Så säger icke heller jag eder med vad myndighet jag gör detta.
And responding they said to Jesus, We do not know. He also said to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.
28 Men vad synes eder? En man hade två söner. Och han kom till den förste och sade: 'Min son, gå i dag och arbeta i vingården.'
What seems to you? A man had two sons; and going to the first, he said, Child, go to-day, work in my vineyard.
29 Han svarade och sade: 'Jag vill icke'; men efteråt ångrade han sig och gick.
And he responding said, I am not willing: but afterward, having regretted, he went.
30 Och han kom till den andre och sade sammalunda. Då svarade denne och sade: 'Ja, herre'; men han gick icke,
And coming to the second, he spoke likewise. And he responding said, I, lord: and went not.
31 Vilken av de två gjorde vad fadern ville?" De svarade: "Den förste." Jesus sade till dem: "Ja, sannerligen säger jag eder: Publikaner och skökor skola förr gå in i Guds rike än I.
Which one of the two did the will of the father? They say to Him, The first. Jesus says to them, Truly I say unto you, that the publicans and harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
32 Ty Johannes kom och lärde eder rättfärdighetens väg, och I trodden honom icke, men publikaner och skökor trodde honom. Och fastän I sågen detta, ångraden I eder icke heller efteråt, så att I trodden honom.
For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you believed him not: but the publicans and harlots believed him, and you, seeing, did not afterward regret it, in order that you might believe him.
33 Hören nu en annan liknelse: En husbonde planterade en vingård, och han satte stängsel omkring den och högg ut ett presskar därinne och byggde ett vakttorn; därefter lejde han ut den åt vingårdsmän och for utrikes.
Hear ye another parable. A man was a landlord, who planted a vineyard, and placed a hedge around it, and dug a wine-trough in it, and built a tower, and gave it out to husbandmen, and went away.
34 När sedan frukttiden nalkades, sände han sina tjänare till vingårdsmännen för att uppbära frukten åt honom.
And when the time of the fruits drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, to receive his fruits;
35 Men vingårdsmännen togo fatt på hans tjänare, och en misshandlade de, en annan dräpte de, en tredje stenade de.
and the husbandmen taking his servants, beat one, and slew one, and stoned another.
36 Åter sände han åstad andra tjänare, flera än de förra, men de gjorde med dem sammalunda.
Again he sent other servants, more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.
37 Slutligen sände han till dem sin son, ty han tänkte: 'De skola väl hava försyn för min son.'
And afterward he sent to them his own son, saying, They will reverence my son.
38 Men när vingårdsmännen fingo se hans son, sade de till varandra: 'Denne är arvingen; kom, låt oss dräpa honom, så få vi hans arv.'
But the husbandmen, seeing the son, said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and take possession of his inheritance.
39 Och de togo fatt på honom och förde honom ut ur vingården och dräpte honom.
And taking him, they cast him out of the vine-yard, and slew him.
40 När nu vingårdens herre kommer, vad skall han då göra med de vingårdsmännen?"
Then when the lord of the vine-yard may come, what will he do to those husbandmen?
41 De svarade honom: "Eftersom de hava illa gjort, skall han illa förgöra dem, och vingården skall han lämna åt andra vingårdsmän, som giva honom frukten, när tiden därtill är inne."
They say to Him, He will certainly destroy those wicked men, and give the vineyard to other husband-men, who will render to him the fruits in their seasons.
42 Jesus sade till dem: "Ja, haven I aldrig läst i skrifterna: 'Den sten som byggningsmännen förkastade. den har blivit en hörnsten; av Herren har den blivit detta, och underbar är den i våra ögon'?
Jesus says, Have you not read in the Scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same has come to be the head of the corner: this was with the Lord, and is marvelous in our eyes?
43 Därför säger jag eder att Guds rike skall tagas ifrån eder, och givas åt ett folk som bär dess frukt."
Therefore I say unto you, that the kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits of it.
45 Då nu översteprästerna och fariséerna hörde hans liknelser, förstodo de att det var om dem som han talade.
And the chief priests and Pharisees hearing His parables, knew that He speaks concerning them.
46 Och de hade gärna velat gripa honom, men de fruktade för folket, eftersom man höll honom för en profet.
And seeking to arrest Him, they feared the multitudes, since they held Him as a prophet.
