1 Och Manasse stam fick sin lott sålunda, ty han var Josefs förstfödde: Makir, Manasses förstfödde, Gileads fader, fick Gilead och Basan, ty han var en stridsman.

18 utan du skall få en bergsbygd, som ju ock är en skogsbygd, men som du skall röja upp, så att till och med utkanterna därav skola tillhöra dig. Ty du måste fördriva kananéerna, eftersom de hava stridsvagnar av järn och äro så starka."
