Josua 1

1 Efter HERRENS tjänare Moses död sade HERREN till Josua, Nuns son, Moses tjänare:

And it was after [the] death of Moses [the] servant of Yahweh and he said Yahweh to Joshua [the] son of Nun [the] servant of Moses saying.

2 "Min tjänare Mose är död; så stå nu upp och gå över denna Jordan, du med allt detta folk, in i det land som jag vill giva dem, giva åt Israels barn.

Moses servant my he has died and therefore arise pass over the Jordan this you and all the people this into the land which I [am] about to give to them to [the] people of Israel.

3 Var ort som eder fot beträder har jag givit eder, såsom jag lovade Mose.

Every place which it will tread [the] sole of foot your on it to you I have given it just as I spoke to Moses.

4 Från öknen till Libanon däruppe och ända till den stora floden, floden Frat, över hetiternas land och ända till Stora havet västerut skall edert område sträcka sig.

From the wilderness and Lebanon this and to the river great [the] river of Euphrates all [the] land of the Hittites and to the sea great [the] setting of the sun it will be territory your.

5 Ingen skall kunna stå dig emot i alla dina livsdagar; såsom jag har varit med Mose, så skall jag ock vara med dig; jag skall icke lämna dig eller övergiva dig.

Not he will stand anyone before you all [the] days of life your just as I was with Moses I will be with you not I will abandon you and not I will leave you.

6 Var frimodig och oförfärad; ty du skall utskifta åt detta folk såsom arv det land som jag med ed har lovat deras fäder att giva dem.

Be strong and be bold for you you will cause to inherit the people this the land which I swore to fathers their to give to them.

7 Allenast må du vara helt frimodig och oförfärad till att i alla stycken hålla den lag som min tjänare Mose har givit dig och göra efter den; vik icke av därifrån vare sig till höger eller till vänster; på det att du må hava framgång i allt vad du företager dig.

Only be strong and be bold exceedingly to take care to do according to all the law which he commanded you Moses servant my may not you turn aside from it right and left so that you may prosper in every where you will go.

8 Låt icke denna lagbok vara skild från din mun; tänk på den både dag och natt, så att du i alla stycken håller det som är skrivet i den och gör därefter; ty då skola dina vägar vara lyckosamma, och då skall du hava framgång.

Not it will depart [the] book of the law this from mouth your and you will meditate on it by day and night so that you may take care to do according to every [thing] written in it for then you will make successful ways your and then you will be successful.

9 Se, jag har bjudit dig att vara frimodig och oförfärad; så var nu icke förskräckt eller försagd. Ty HERREN, din Gud, är med dig i allt vad du företager dig."

¿ Not have I commanded you be strong and be bold may not you be terrified and may not you be dismayed for [is] with you Yahweh God your in every where you will go.

10 Då bjöd Josua folkets tillsyningsmän och sade:

And he commanded Joshua [the] officers of the people saying.

11 "Gån igenom lägret och bjuden folket och sägen: 'Reden till reskost åt eder; ty om tre dagar skolen I gå över denna Jordan, för att komma in i och taga i besittning det land som HERREN, eder Gud, vill giva eder till besittning.'"

Pass - in [the] midst of the camp and command the people saying prepare for yourselves food for in yet - three days you [are] about to pass over the Jordan this to go to take possession of the land which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you to take possession of it.

12 Men till rubeniterna och gaditerna och ena hälften av Manasse stam sade Josua:

And to the Reubenite[s] and to the Gadite[s] and to [the] half of [the] tribe of Manasseh he said Joshua saying.

13 "Tänken på det som HERRENS tjänare Mose bjöd eder, när han sade: 'HERREN, eder Gud, vill låta eder komma till ro och giva eder detta land.'

Remember the word which he commanded you Moses [the] servant of Yahweh saying Yahweh God your [is] giving rest to you and he will give to you the land this.

14 Edra hustrur, edra barn och eder boskap må nu stanna kvar i det land som Mose har givit eder här på andra sidan Jordan; men I själva, så många av eder som äro tappra stridsmän, skolen draga väpnade åstad i spetsen för edra bröder och hjälpa dem,

Wives your little one[s] your and livestock your they will remain in the land which he gave to you Moses on [the] other side of the Jordan and you you will pass over arrayed for battle before brothers your all [the] mighty [men] of strength and you will help them.

15 till dess att HERREN har låtit edra bröder komma till ro såväl som eder, när också de hava tagit i besittning det land som HERREN, eder Gud, vill giva dem. Sedan mån I vända tillbaka till det land som skall vara eder besittning; det mån I då taga i besittning, det land som HERRENS tjänare Mose har givit eder här på andra sidan Jordan, på östra sidan."

Until that he will give rest Yahweh - to brothers your like you and they will take possession of also they the land which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to them and you will return to [the] land of possession your and you will take possession of it which - he gave to you Moses [the] servant of Yahweh on [the] other side of the Jordan [the] rising of the sun.

16 Då svarade de Josua och sade: "Allt vad du har bjudit oss vilja vi göra, och varthelst du sänder oss, dit vilja vi gå.

And they answered Joshua saying all that you have commanded us we will do and to every where you will send us we will go.

17 Såsom vi i allt hava lytt Mose, så vilja vi ock lyda dig; allenast må HERREN, din Gud, vara med dig, såsom han var med Mose.

According to all that we listened to Moses so we will listen to you only may he be Yahweh God your with you just as he was with Moses.

18 Var och en som är gensträvig mot dina befallningar och icke lyssnar till dina ord, vadhelst du bjuder honom, han skall bliva dödad. Allenast må du vara frimodig och oförfärad."

Every person who he will rebel toward mouth your and not he will obey words your to all that you will command him he will be put to death only be strong and be bold.
