Jeremia 32

1 Detta är det ord som från HERREN kom till Jeremia i Sidkias, Juda konungs, tionde regeringsår, vilket var Nebukadressars adertonde regeringsår.

The word that was maad of the Lord to Jeremye, in the tenthe yeer of Sedechie, kyng of Juda; thilke is the eiytenthe yeer of Nabugodonosor.

2 Vid den tiden belägrade den babyloniske konungens här Jerusalem, och profeten Jeremia låg då fången i fängelsegården i Juda konungs hus.

Thanne the oost of the kyng of Babiloyne bisegide Jerusalem; and Jeremye, the profete, was closid in the porche of the prisoun, that was in the hous of the kyng of Juda.

3 Ty Sidkia, Juda konung, hade låtit spärra in honom, i det han sade: "Huru djärves du profetera och säga: 'Så säger HERREN: Se, jag skall giva denna stad i de babyloniske konungens hand, och han skall intaga den.

For whi Sedechie, the kyng of Juda, hadde closid hym, and seide, Whi profesiest thou, seiynge, The Lord seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal yyue this citee in the hond of the kyng of Babyloyne, and he schal take it; and Sedechie,

4 Och Sidkia, Juda konung, skall icke undkomma kaldéernas hand, utan skall förvisso bliva given i den babyloniske konungens hand, så att han nödgas muntligen tala med honom och stå inför honom, öga mot öga.

the kyng of Juda, schal not ascape fro the hond of Caldeis, but he schal be bitake in to the hond of the kyng of Babiloyne; and his mouth schal speke with the mouth of hym, and hise iyen schulen se the iyen of hym;

5 Och Sidkia skall av honom föras till Babel och skall förbliva där, till dess jag ser till honom, säger HERREN. När I striden mot kaldéerna, skolen I icke hava någon framgång."

and he schal lede Sedechie in to Babiloyne, and he schal be there, til Y visyte hym, seith the Lord; forsothe if ye fiyten ayens Caldeis, ye schulen haue no thing in prosperite?

6 Och Jeremia sade: "HERRENS ord kom till mig; han sade:

And Jeremye seide, The word of the Lord was maad to me, and seide, Lo!

7 Se, Hanamel, din farbroder Sallums son, skall komma till dig och säga: 'Köp du min åker i Anatot, ty du har såsom bördeman rätt att köpa den.'"

Ananeel, the sone of Sellum, the sone of thi fadris brothir, schal come to thee, and seie, Bi thou to thee my feeld, which is in Anathot; for it bifallith to thee by niy kynrede, that thou bie it.

8 Och Hanamel, min farbroders son, kom till mig i fängelsegården, såsom HERREN hade sagt, och sade till mig: "Köp min åker i Anatot, i Benjamins land, ty du har arvsrätt därtill och är bördeman; så köp den då åt dig." Då förstod jag att det var HERRENS ord

And Ananeel, the sone of my fadris brothir, cam to me, bi the word of the Lord, to the porche of the prisoun, and seide to me, Welde thou my feeld, which is in Anathot, in the lond of Beniamyn; for whi the erytage bifallith to thee, and thou art the next of blood, that thou welde it. Forsothe Y vndirstood, that it was the word of the Lord.

9 och köpte åkern av Hanamel, min farbroders son, i Anatot, och vägde upp penningarna åt honom, sjutton siklar silver.

And Y bouyte the feeld, which is in Anathot, of Ananeel, the sone of my fadris brothir. And Y paiede to hym siluer, seuene stateris, and ten platis of siluer;

10 Jag skrev ett köpebrev och förseglade det och tillkallade vittnen och vägde upp penningarna på en våg.

and Y wroot in a book, and Y seelide, and Y yaf witnessis. And Y weiede siluer in a balaunce;

11 Och jag tog köpebrevet, såväl det förseglade, som innehöll avtalet och de särskilda bestämmelserna, som ock det öppna brevet,

and Y took the book aseelid of possessioun, and axingis and answerys of the seller and bier, and couenauntis, and seelis withoutforth.

12 och gav köpebrevet åt Baruk, son till Neria, son till Mahaseja, i närvaro av min frände Hanamel och de vittnen som hade underskrivit köpebrevet, och alla andra judar som voro tillstädes i fängelsegården.

And Y yaf the book of possessioun to Baruc, the sone of Neri, sone of Maasie, bifore the iyen of Ananeel, the sone of my fadris brother, and bifore the iyen of witnessis that weren writun in the book of biyng, bifore the iyen of alle Jewis, that saten in the porche of the prisoun.

13 Och jag bjöd Baruk, i deras närvaro, och sade:

And Y comaundide to Baruc bifore hem,

14 Så säger HERREN Sebaot, Israels Gud: Tag du dessa brev, både detta förseglade köpebrev och detta öppna brev, och lägg dem i ett lerkärl, för att de må vara i behåll för lång tid.

and Y seide, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Take thou these bookis, this seelid book of biyng, and this book which is opyn, and putte thou tho in an erthen vessel, that tho moun dwelle bi many daies.

15 Ty så säger HERREN Sebaot, Israels Gud: Ännu en gång skall man komma att i detta land köpa hus och åkrar och vingårdar."

For whi the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Yit housis, and feeldis, and vynes schulen be weldid in this lond.

16 Och sedan jag hade givit köpebrevet åt Baruk, Nerias son, bad jag till HERREN och sade:

And Y preiede to the Lord, aftir that Y bitook the book of possessioun to Baruc, the sone of Nery; and Y seide, Alas!

17 "Ack Herre, HERRE, du är ju den som har gjort himmel och jord genom din stora kraft och din uträckta arm. Intet är så underbart att du icke skulle förmå det,

alas! alas! Lord God, Lord, thou madist heuene and erthe in thi greet strengthe, and in thin arm stretchid forth; ech word schal not be hard to thee;

18 du som gör nåd med tusenden och vedergäller fädernas missgärning i deras barns sköte efter dem; du store och väldige Gud, vilkens namn är HERREN Sebaot;

which doist merci in thousyndis, and yeldist the wickidnesse of fadris in to the bosum of her sones aftir hem. Thou strongeste, greet, myyti, Lord of oostis is name to thee;

19 du som är stor i råd och mäktig i gärningar; du vilkens ögon äro öppna över människobarnens alla vägar, så att du giver åt var och en efter hans vägar och efter hans gärningars frukt;

greet in councel, and vncomprehensible in thouyt, whose iyen ben open on alle the weies of the sones of Adam, that thou yelde to ech aftir hise weies, and aftir the fruyt of hise fyndyngis;

20 du som gjorde tecken och under i Egyptens land, och som har gjort sådana intill denna dag, både i Israel och bland andra människor, och som har gjort dig ett namn, som är detsamma än i dag.

which settidist signes and greet woundris in the lond of Egipt, `til to this dai, bothe in Israel and in men; and madist to thee a name, as this dai is.

21 Du förde ditt folk Israel ut ur Egyptens land med tecken och under, med stark hand och uträckt arm, och genom stor förskräckelse.

And thou leddist thi puple Israel out of the lond of Egipt, in signes and in greet woundris, and in a strong hond, and in an arm holdun forth, and in greet dreed; and thou yauest to hem this lond,

22 Och du gav dem detta land, som du med ed hade lovat deras fäder att giva dem, ett land som flyter av mjölk och honung.

which thou sworist to the fadris of hem, that thou woldist yyue to hem, a lond flowynge with milk and hony.

23 Och de kommo och togo det i besittning, men de ville icke höra din röst och vandrade icke efter din lag; de gjorde intet av det du hade bjudit dem att göra. Därför lät du all denna olycka vederfaras dem.

And thei entriden, and hadden it in possessioun; and thei obeieden not to thi vois, and thei yeden not in thi lawe; alle thingis whiche thou comaundidist to hem to do, thei diden not; and alle these yuels bifellen to hem.

24 Se, belägringsvallarna gå redan så långt fram mot staden, att man kan intaga den och genom svärd, hungersnöd och pest är staden given i de kaldeiska belägrarnas hand. Vad du hotade med, det har skett, och du har det nu inför dina ögon.

Lo! strengthis ben bildid ayens the citee, that it be takun, and the citee is youun in to the hondis of Caldeis, and in to the hondis of the kyng of Babiloyne, that fiyten ayens it, of the face of swerd, and of hungur, and of pestilence; and what euer thingis thou spakest, bifellen, as thou thi silf seest.

25 Och likväl, fastän staden är given i kaldéernas hand, sade du, Herre HERRE, till mig: 'Köp du åkern för penningar, och tag vittnen därpå'!"

And Lord God, thou seist to me, Bie thou a feeld for siluer, and yyue thou witnessis, whanne the citee is youun in the hondis of Caldeis.

26 Och HERRENS ord kom till Jeremia han sade: Se,

And the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye, and seide, Lo!

27 jag är HERREN, allt kötts Gud; skulle något vara så underbart att jag icke förmådde det?

Y am the Lord God of `al fleisch. Whether ony word schal be hard to me?

28 Därför säger HERREN så: Se, jag vill giva denna stad i kaldéernas och Nebukadressars, den babyloniske konungens, hand, och han skall intaga den.

Therfor the Lord seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal bitake this citee in to the hondis of Caldeis, and in to the hond of the kyng of Babiloyne, and he schal take it.

29 Och kaldéerna, som belägra denna stad, skola komma och tända eld på staden och bränna upp den, tillika med de hus på vilkas tak man har tänt offereld åt Baal och utgjutit drickoffer åt andra gudar, till att förtörna mig.

And Caldeis schulen come, and fiyte ayens this citee, and thei schulen brenne it with fier, and thei schulen brenne it, and housis, in whose rooues thei sacrifieden to Baal, and offriden moist sacrifices to alien goddis, to terre me to wraththe.

30 Ty allt ifrån sin ungdom hava Israels barn och Juda barn allenast gjort vad ont är i mina ögon; ja, Israels barn hava med sina händers verk berett mig allenast förtörnelse, säger HERREN.

For whi the sones of Israel and the sones of Juda diden yuel contynueli, fro her yonge waxynge age, bifore myn iyen, the sones of Israel, whiche `til to now wraththen me bi the werk of her hondis, seith the Lord.

31 Ty allt ifrån den dag då denna stad byggdes ända till nu har den uppväckt min vrede och förtörnelse, så att jag måste förkasta den från mitt ansikte,

For whi this citee is maad to me in my strong veniaunce and indignacioun, fro the day in which thei bildiden it, `til to this dai, in which it schal be takun awei fro my siyt;

32 för all den ondskas skull som Israels barn och Juda barn med sina konungar, furstar, präster och profeter, både Juda män och Jerusalems invånare, hava bedrivit, till att förtörna mig.

for the malice of the sones of Israel, and of the sones of Juda, which thei diden, terrynge me to wrathfulnesse, thei, and the kyngis of hem, the princes of hem, and the prestis, and profetis of hem, the men of Juda, and the dwelleris of Jerusalem.

33 De vände ryggen till mig och icke ansiktet; och fastän de titt och ofta blevo varnade, ville de icke höra och taga emot tuktan.

And thei turneden to me the backis, and not the faces, whanne Y tauyte, and enformede hem erli; and thei nolden here, that thei schulden take techyng.

34 De satte upp sina styggelser i det hus som är uppkallat efter mitt namn och orenade det så;

And thei settiden her idols in the hous, in which my name is clepid to help, that thei schulden defoule it.

35 och Baalshöjderna i Hinnoms sons dal byggde de upp, för att där offra sina söner och döttrar åt Molok, fastän jag aldrig hade bjudit dem att göra sådan styggelse eller ens tänkt mig något sådant; och så förledde de Juda till synd.

And thei bildiden hiy thingis to Baal, that ben in the valei of the sones of Ennon, that thei schulden halewe her sones and her douytris to Moloc, which thing Y comaundide not to hem, nether it stiede in to myn herte, that thei schulden do this abhomynacioun, and brynge Juda in to synne.

36 Men så säger nu HERREN, Israels Gud, om denna stad, som I menen vara genom svärd, hungersnöd och pest given i den babyloniske konungens hand:

And now for these thingis, the Lord God of Israel seith these thingis to this citee, of whiche ye seien, that it schal be bitakun in to the hondis of the kyng of Babiloyne, in swerd, and in hungur, and in pestilence, Lo!

37 Se, jag skall församla dem ur alla de länder till vilka jag i min vrede och harm och stora förtörnelse har fördrivit dem, och jag skall föra dem tillbaka till denna plats och låta dem bo bär i trygghet.

Y schal gadere hem fro alle londis, to whiche Y castide hem out in my strong veniaunce, and in my wraththe, and in greet indignacioun; and Y schal brynge hem ayen to this place, and Y schal make hem to dwelle tristili.

38 Och de skola vara mitt folk, och jag skall vara deras Gud.

And thei schulen be in to a puple to me, and Y schal be in to God to hem.

39 Och jag skall giva dem alla ett och samma hjärta och lära dem en och samma väg, så att de frukta mig beständigt; för att det må gå dem väl, och deras barn efter dem.

And Y schal yyue to hem oon herte and o soule, that thei drede me in alle daies, and that it be wel to hem, and to her sones aftir hem.

40 Och jag skall sluta med dem ett evigt förbund, så att jag icke upp hör att följa dem och göra dem gott; och min fruktan skall jag ingiva i deras hjärtan, så att de icke vika av ifrån mig.

And Y schal smyte to hem a couenaunt euerlastynge, and Y schal not ceese to do wel to hem, and Y schal yyue my drede in the herte of hem, that thei go not awey fro me.

41 Och jag skall hava min fröjd i att göra dem gott, och skall plantera dem i detta land med trofasthet, av allt mitt hjärta och all min själ.

And Y schal be glad on hem, whanne Y schal do wel to hem; and Y schal plaunte hem in this lond in treuthe, in al myn herte, and in al my soule.

42 Ty så säger HERREN: Likasom jag har låtit all denna stora olycka komma över detta folk, så skall jag ock låta allt det goda som jag lovade dem komma dem till del.

For the Lord seith these thingis, As Y brouyte on this puple al this greet yuel, so Y schal brynge on hem al the good, which Y schal speke to hem.

43 Och man skall komma att köpa åkrar i detta land, om vilket I sägen att det är en ödemark, där varken människor eller djur kunna bo, och att det är givet i kaldéernas hand.

And feeldis schulen be weldid in this lond, of which ye seien, that it is desert, for no man and beeste is left; and it is youun in to the hondis of Caldeis.

44 Ja, åkrar skall man köpa för penningar, och man skall skriva och försegla köpebrev och tillkalla vittnen i Benjamins land, i Jerusalems omnejd och i Juda städer, både i Bergsbygdens och i Låglandets och i Sydlandets städer; ty jag skall åter upprätta dem, säger HERREN.

Feeldis schulen be bouyt for money, and schulen be writun in a book, and a seel schal be preentid; and witnessis schulen be youun, in the lond of Beniamyn, and in the cumpas of Jerusalem, and in the citees of Juda, and in the citees in hilli places, and in the citees in feeldi places, and in the citees that ben at the south; for Y schal turne the caitiftee of hem, seith the Lord.
