Jesaja 58
1 Ropa med full hals utan återhåll, häv upp din röst såsom en basun och förkunna för mitt folk deras överträdelse, för Jakobs hus deras synder.
Crye thou, ceesse thou not; as a trumpe enhaunse thi vois, and schewe thou to my puple her grete trespassis, and to the hous of Jacob her synnes.
2 Väl söka de mig dag ut och dag in och vilja hava kunskap om mina vägar. Såsom vore de ett folk, som övade rättfärdighet och icke övergåve sin Guds rätt, så fråga de mig om rättfärdighetens rätter och vilja, att Gud skall komma till dem:
For thei seken me fro dai in to dai, and thei wolen knowe my weies; as a folk, that hath do riytfulnesse, and that hath not forsake the doom of her God; thei preien me domes of riytfulnesse, and wolen neiy to God.
3 "Vartill gagnar det, att vi fasta, när du icke ser det, vartill, att vi späka oss, när du icke märker det?" Men se, på edra fastedagar sköten I edra sysslor, och alla edra arbetare driven I blott på.
Whi fastiden we, and thou biheldist not; we mekiden oure soulis, and thou knewist not? Lo! youre wille is foundun in the dai of youre fastyng, and ye axen alle youre dettouris.
4 Och se, I hållen eder fasta med kiv och split, med hugg och slag av gudlösa nävar. I hållen icke mer fasta på sådant sätt, att I kunnen göra eder röst hörd i höjden.
Lo! ye fasten to chidyngis and stryuyngis, and smyten with the fist wickidli. Nyl ye fast, as `til to this dai, that youre cry be herd an hiy.
5 Skulle detta vara en fasta, sådan som jag vill hava? Skulle detta vara en rätt späkningsdag? Att man hänger med huvudet såsom ett sävstrå och sätter sig i säck och aska, vill du kalla sådant att hålla fasta, att fira en dag till HERRENS behag?
Whether sich is the fastyng which Y chees, a man to turmente his soule bi dai? whether to bynde his heed as a sercle, and to make redi a sak and aische? Whethir thou schalt clepe this a fastyng, and a dai acceptable to the Lord?
6 Nej, detta är den fasta, som jag vill hava: att I lossen orättfärdiga bojor och lösen okets band, att I given de förtryckta fria och krossen sönder alla ok,
Whether not this is more the fastyng, which Y chees? Vnbynde thou the byndingis togidere of vnpitee, releesse thou birthuns pressynge doun; delyuere thou hem free, that ben brokun, and breke thou ech birthun.
7 ja, att du bryter ditt bröd åt den hungrige och skaffar de fattiga och husvilla härbärge att du kläder den nakne, var du ser honom, och ej drager dig undan för den som är ditt kött och blod.
Breke thi breed to an hungri man, and brynge in to thin hous nedi men and herborles; whanne thou seest a nakid man, hile thou hym, and dispise not thi fleisch.
8 Då skall ljus bryta fram för dig såsom en morgonrodnad, och dina sår skola läkas med hast, och din rätt skall då gå framför dig och HERRENS härlighet följa dina spår.
Thanne thi liyt schal breke out as the morewtid, and thin helthe schal rise ful soone; and thi riytfulnesse schal go bifore thi face, and the glorie of the Lord schal gadere thee.
9 Då skall HERREN svara, när du åkallar honom; när du ropar, skall han säga: "Se, här är jag." Om hos dig icke får finnas någon som pålägger ok och pekar finger och talar, vad fördärvligt är,
Thanne thou schalt clepe to help, and the Lord schal here; thou schalt crie, and he schal seie, Lo! Y am present, for Y am merciful, thi Lord God. If thou takist awei a chayne fro the myddis of thee, and ceessist to holde forth the fyngur, and to speke that profitith not;
10 om du delar med dig av din nödtorft åt den hungrige och mättar den som är i betryck, då skall ljus gå upp för dig i mörkret, och din natt skall bliva lik middagens sken.
whanne thou schedist out thi soule to an hungri man, and fillist a soule, `that is turmentid, thi liyt schal rise in derknessis, and thi derknessis schulen be as myddai.
11 Och HERREN skall leda dig beständigt; han skall mätta dig mitt i ödemarken och giva styrka åt benen i din kropp. Och du skall vara lik en vattenrik trädgård och likna ett källsprång, vars vatten aldrig tryter.
And the Lord thi God schal yyue euere reste to thee, and schal fille thi soule with schynyngis, and schal delyuere thi boonys; and thou schalt be as a watri gardyn, and as a welle of watris, whose waters schulen not faile.
12 Och dina avkomlingar skola bygga upp de gamla ruinerna, du skall åter upprätta grundvalar ifrån forna släkten; och du skall kallas "han som murar igen revor", "han som återställer stigar, så att man kan bo i landet."
And the forsakun thingis of worldis schulen be bildid in thee, and thou schalt reise the foundementis of generacioun and generacioun; and thou schalt be clepid a bildere of heggis, turnynge awei the pathis of wickidnessis.
13 Om du är varsam med din fot på sabbaten, så att du icke på min heliga dag utför dina sysslor; om du kallar sabbaten din lust och HERRENS helgdag en äredag, ja, om du ärar den, så att du icke går dina egna vägar eller sköter dina sysslor eller talar tomma ord,
If thou turnest awei thi foot fro the sabat, to do thi wille in myn hooli dai, and clepist the sabat delicat, and hooli, the gloriouse of the Lord, and glorifiest him, while thou doist not thi weies, and thi wille is not foundun, that thou speke a word;
14 då skall du finna din lust i HERREN, och jag skall föra dig fram över landets höjder och giva dig till näring din fader Jakobs arvedel. Ja, så har HERRENS mun talat.
thanne thou schalt delite on the Lord, and Y schal reise thee on the hiynesse of erthe, and Y schal fede thee with the eritage of Jacob, thi fadir; for whi the mouth of the Lord spak.
