1 Mosebok 31

1 Men han fick höra huru Labans söner talade så: "Jakob har tagit allt vad vår fader ägde; av det vår fader ägde är det som han har skaffat sig all denna rikedom."

And Iacob herde the wordes of Labas sonnes how they sayde: Iacob hath take awaye all that was oure fathers and of oure fathers goodes hath he gote all this honoure.

2 Jakob märkte också att Laban icke såg på honom med samma ögon som förut.

And Iacob behelde the countenauce of Laban that it was not toward him as it was in tymes past.

3 Och HERREN sade till Jakob: "Vänd tillbaka till dina fäders land och till din släkt; jag skall vara med dig."

And the LORde sayde vnto Iacob: turne agayne in to the lade of thy fathers and to thy kynred and I wilbe with ye.

4 Då sände Jakob och lät kalla Rakel och Lea ut på marken till sin hjord;

Tha Iacob sent and called Rahel and Lea to the felde vnto his shepe

5 och han sade till dem: "Jag märker att eder fader icke ser på mig med samma ögon som förut, nu då min faders Gud har varit med mig.

and sayde vnto the: I se youre fathers countenauce yt it is not toward me as in tymes past. Morouer ye God of my father hath bene with me.

6 Och I veten själva att jag har tjänat eder fader av alla mina krafter;

And ye knowe how that I haue serued youre father with all my myghte.

7 men eder fader har handlat svikligt mot mig och tio gånger förändrat min lön. Dock har Gud icke tillstatt honom att göra mig något ont.

And youre father hath disceaued me and chaunged my wages. x. tymes: But God suffred him not to hurte me.

8 När han sade: 'De spräckliga skola vara din lön', då fick hela hjorden spräcklig avföda; och när han sade: 'De strimmiga skola vara din lön', då fick hela jorden strimmig avföda.

When he sayde the spotted shalbe thy wages tha all the shepe barespotted. Yf he sayde the straked shalbe thi rewarde tha bare all the shepe straked:

9 Så tog Gud eder faders boskap och gav den åt mig.

thus hath God take awaye youre fathers catell and geue the me.

10 Ty när parningstiden kom, lyfte jag upp mina ögon och fick se i drömmen att hannarna som betäckte småboskapen voro strimmiga, spräckliga och fläckiga.

For in buckynge tyme I lifted vp myne eyes and sawe in a dreame: and beholde the rammes that bucked the shepe were straked spotted and partie.

11 Och Guds ängel sade till mig i drömmen: 'Jakob!' Jag svarade: 'Här är jag.'

And the angell of God spake vnto me in a dreame saynge: Iacob. And I answered: here am I.

12 Då sade han: 'Lyft upp dina ögon och se huru alla hannar som betäcka småboskapen äro strimmiga, spräckliga och fläckiga. Jag har ju sett allt vad Laban gör mot dig.

And he sayde: lyfte vp thyne eyes ad see how all therames that leape vpon the shepe are straked spotted and partie: for I haue sene all that Laban doth vnto ye.

13 Jag är den Gud som du såg i Betel, där du smorde en stod, och där du gjorde mig ett löfte. Stå nu upp och drag ut ur detta land, och vänd tillbaka till ditt fädernesland.'"

I am ye god of Bethell where thou anoynteddest the stone ad where thou vowdest a vowe vnto me. Now aryse and gett the out of this countre ad returne vnto the lade where thou wast borne.

14 Då svarade Rakel och Lea och sade till honom: "Hava vi numera någon lott eller arvedel i vår faders hus?

Than answered Rahel and Lea and sayde vnto him: we haue no parte nor enheritaunce in oure fathers house

15 Blevo vi icke av honom aktade såsom främlingar, när han sålde oss? Sedan har han ju ock förtärt vad han fick i betalning för oss.

he cownteth us eue as straungers for he hath solde vs and hath euen eaten vp the price of vs.

16 Ja, all den rikedom som Gud har avhänt vår fader tillhör oss och våra barn. Så gör nu allt vad Gud har sagt dig."

Moreouer all the riches which God hath take from oure father that is oures and oure childerns. Now therfore what soeuer God hath sayde vnto the that doo.

17 Då stod Jakob upp och satte sina barn och sina hustrur på kamelerna

Tha Iacob rose vp and sett his sones and wiues vp vpon camels

18 och förde bort med sig all boskap och alla ägodelar som han hade förvärvat, den boskap han ägde, och som han hade förvärvat i Paddan-Aram, och begav sig på väg till sin fader Isak i Kanaans land.

and caried away all his catell and all his substace which he had gotte in Mesopotamia for to goo to Isaac his father vnto the lade of Canaan.

19 Men Laban hade gått bort för att klippa sina får; då stal Rakel sin faders husgudar,

Laba was gone to shere his shepe and Rahel had stolle hir fathers ymages.

20 och Jakob stal sig undan från araméen Laban, så att han icke lät denne märka att han ämnade fly.

And Iacob went awaye vnknowynge to Laban the Sirie and tolde him not yt he fled.

21 Så flydde han med allt sitt; han bröt upp och gick över floden och ställde sin färd mot Gileads berg.

So fled he and all yt he had and made him self redy and passed ouer the ryuers and sett his face streyght towarde the mounte Gilead.

22 Men på tredje dagen fick Laban veta att Jakob hade flytt.

Apo the thirde day after was it tolde Laba yt Iacob was fled.

23 Då tog han med sig sina fränder och satte efter honom sju dagsresor och hann upp honom på Gileads berg.

Tha he toke his brethre with him and folowed after him. vij. dayes iourney and ouer toke him at the mounte Gilead.

24 Men Gud kom till araméen Laban i en dröm om natten och sade till honom: "Tag dig till vara för att tala något mot Jakob, vad det vara må."

And God came to Laba the Siria in a dreame by nyghte and sayde vnto him: take hede to thi selfe that thou speake not to Iacob oughte save good.

25 Och Laban hann upp Jakob. Denne hade då slagit upp sitt tält på berget, och Laban med sina fränder hade ock sitt tält uppslaget på Gileads berg.

And Laba ouer toke Iacob: and Iacob had pitched his tete in yt mounte. And Laban with his brethern pitched their tete also apon the mounte Gilead.

26 Då sade Laban till Jakob: "Vad är detta för ett tilltag, att du har stulit dig undan från mig och fört bort mina döttrar, likasom vore de tagna med svärd?

Than sayde Laba to Iacob: why hast thou this done vnknowynge to me and hast caried awaye my doughters as though they had bene take captyue with swerde?

27 Varför dolde du din flykt och stal dig undan från mig? Därigenom att du icke lät mig veta något därom hindrades jag att ledsaga dig till vägs med jubel och sång, med pukor och harpor.

Wherfore wentest thou awaye secretly vnknowne to me and didest not tell me yt I myghte haue broughte yt on the waye with myrth syngynge tymrells and harppes

28 Du förunnade mig icke ens att kyssa mina barnbarn och mina döttrar. Du har handlat dåraktigt.

and hast not suffred me to kysse my childern and my doughters. Thou wast a fole to do

29 Det stode nu i min makt att göra eder ont; men eder faders Gud sade till mig i natt: 'Tag dig till vara för att tala något mot Jakob, vad det vara må.'

it for I am able to do you evell. But the God of youre father spake vnto me yesterdaye saynge take hede tha thou speake not to Iacob oughte saue goode.

30 Och då du nu äntligen ville fara, eftersom du längtade så mycket till din faders hus, varför skulle du stjäla mina gudar?"

And now though thou wetest thi waye because thou logest after thi fathers house yet wherfore hast thou stollen my goddes?

31 Då svarade Jakob och sade till Laban: "Jag fruktade för dig, ty jag tänkte att du skulle med våld taga dina döttrar ifrån mig.

Iacob answered and sayde to Laba: because I was afrayed and thought that thou woldest haue take awaye thy doughters fro me.

32 Men den som du finner dina gudar hos, han skall icke få behålla livet. I våra fränders närvaro må du se efter, om något är ditt av det jag har i min ägo, och i så fall taga det." Ty Jakob visste icke att Rakel hade stulit dem.

But with whome soeuer thou fyndest thy goddes let him dye here before oure brethre. Seke that thine is by me and take it to the: for Iacob wist not that Rahel had stolle the.

33 Då gick Laban in i Jakobs tält, därefter i Leas tält och i de båda tjänstekvinnornas tält, men fann intet. Och när han hade kommit ut ur Leas tält, gick han in i Rakels tält.

Tha wet Laba in to Iacobs tete and in to Leas tete and in to. ij. maydens tentes: but fownde the not. Tha wet he out of Leas tete and entred in to Rahels tete.

34 Men Rakel hade tagit husgudarna och lagt dem i kamelsadeln och satt sig därovanpå. Och Laban sökte igenom hela tältet, men fann dem icke.

And Rahel toke the ymages and put them in the camels strawe and sate doune apo the. And Laba serched all the tete: but fownde the not.

35 Och hon sade till sin fader: "Vredgas icke, min herre, över att jag ej kan stiga upp för dig, ty det är med mig på kvinnors vis." Så sökte han efter husgudarna, men fann dem icke.

Tha sayde she to hir father: my lorde be not angrye yt I ca not ryse vp before the for the disease of weme is come apon me. So searched he but foude the not.

36 Då blev Jakob vred och for ut mot Laban; Jakob tog till orda och sade till Laban: "Vari har jag då förbrutit mig eller syndat, eftersom du så häftigt förföljer mig?

Iacob was wrooth and chode with Laba: Iacob also answered and sayde to him: what haue I trespaced or what haue I offended that thou foloweddest after me?

37 Nu har du genomsökt allt mitt bohag; vad har du där funnit av bohagsting som tillhöra dig? Lägg det fram här inför mina fränder och dina fränder, så att de få döma mellan oss båda.

Thou hast searched all my stuffe and what hast thou founde of all thy housholde stuffe? put it here before thi brethern and myne and let the iudge betwyxte vs both.

38 I tjugu år har jag nu varit hos dig; dina tackor och dina getter hava icke fött i otid, och av vädurarna i din hjord har jag icke ätit.

This xx. yere yt I haue bene wyth the thy shepe and thy gootes haue not bene baren and the rammes of thi flocke haue I not eate.

39 Intet ihjälrivet djur förde jag till dig; jag måste själv ersätta det; du utkrävde det av mig, evad det var stulet om dagen eller stulet om natten.

What soeuer was torne of beastes I broughte it not vnto ye but made it good mysilf: of my hade dydest thou requyre it whether it was stollen by daye or nyghte

40 Sådan var min lott: om dagen förtärdes jag av hetta och om natten av köld, och sömnen flydde mina ögon.

Moreouer by daye the hete consumed me and the colde by nyghte and my slepe departed fro myne eyes.

41 I tjugu år har jag nu varit i ditt hus; jag har tjänat dig i fjorton år för dina båda döttrar och i sex år för din boskap, men du har tio gånger förändrat min lön.

Thus haue I bene. xx. yere in thi house and serued the. xiiij. yeres forthy. ij. doughters and vi. yere for thi shepe and thou hast changed my rewarde. x. tymes.

42 Om icke min faders Gud hade varit med mig, Abrahams Gud, han som ock Isak fruktar, så hade du nu säkert låtit mig fara med tomma händer. Men Gud såg mitt lidande och min möda, och han fällde domen i natt."

And excepte the God of my father the God of Abraha and the God whome Isaac feareth had bene with me: surely thou haddest sent me awaye now all emptie. But God behelde my tribulation and the laboure of my handes: and rebuked the yester daye.

43 Då svarade Laban och sade till Jakob: "Döttrarna äro mina döttrar, och barnen äro mina barn, och hjordarna äro mina hjordar, och allt det du ser är mitt; vad skulle jag då nu kunna göra mot dessa mina döttrar eller mot barnen som de hava fött?

Laban answered ad sayde vnto Iacob: the doughters are my doughters and the childern ar my childern and the shepe are my shepe ad all that thou seist is myne. And what can I do this daye vnto these my doughters or vnto their childern which they haue borne?

44 Så kom nu och låt oss sluta ett förbund med varandra, och må det vara ett vittne mellan mig och dig."

Now therfore come on let us make a bonde I and thou together and let it be a wytnesse betwene the and me.

45 Då tog Jakob en sten och reste den till en stod.

Than toke Iacob a stone and sett it vp an ende

46 Och Jakob sade till sina fränder: "Samlen tillhopa stenar." Och de togo stenar och gjorde ett röse och höllo måltid där på röset.

ad sayde vnto his brethern gather stoones And they toke stoones ad made an heape and they ate there vpo the heape.

47 Och Laban kallade det Jegar-Sahaduta, men Jakob kallade det Galed.

And Laba called it Iegar Sahadutha but Iacob called it Gylead.

48 Och Laban sade: "Detta röse vare i dag vittne mellan mig och dig." Därav fick det namnet Galed;

Than sayde Laban: this heape be witnesse betwene the and me this daye (therfore is it called Gilead)

49 men det kallades ock Mispa, ty han sade: "HERREN vare väktare mellan mig och dig, när vi icke mer se varandra.

and this totehill which the lorde seeth (sayde he) be wytnesse betwene me and the when we are departed one from a nother:

50 Om du behandlar mina döttrar illa eller tager andra hustrur jämte mina döttrar, så vet, att om ock ingen människa är tillstädes, så är dock Gud vittne mellan mig och dig."

that thou shalt not vexe my doughters nether shalt take other wyves vnto them. Here is no man with vs: beholde God is wytnesse betwixte the and me.

51 Och Laban sade ytterligare till Jakob: "Se, detta röse och stoden som jag har rest mellan mig och dig --

And Laban sayde moreouer to Iacob: beholde this heape and this marke which I haue sett here betwyxte me and the:

52 detta röse vare ett vittne, och stoden vare ett vittne, att jag icke skall draga till dig förbi detta röse, och att icke heller du skall draga till mig förbi detta röse och denna stod, med ont uppsåt.

this heape be wytnesse and also this marcke that I will not come ouer this heape to the ad thou shalt not come ouer this heape ad this marke to do any harme.

53 Abrahams Gud och Nahors Gud, han som var deras faders Gud, han vare domare mellan oss." Och Jakob svor eden vid honom som hans fader Isak fruktade.

The God of Abraham the God of Nahor and the God of theyr fathers be iudge betwixte vs. And Iacob sware by him that his father Isaac feared.

54 Och Jakob offrade ett slaktoffer på berget och inbjöd sina fränder att hålla måltid med sig. Och de åto och stannade sedan på berget över natten.

Then Iacob dyd sacrifyce vpon the mounte and called his brethern to eate breed. And they ate breed and taried all nyghte in the hyll.

55 Men om morgonen stod Laban bittida upp, och sedan han hade kysst sina barnbarn och sina döttrar och välsignat dem, for han sin väg hem igen.

And early in the mornynge Laban rose vp and kyssed his childern and his doughters and blessed the and departed and wet vnto his place agayne.
