Hesekiel 5
1 Och du, människobarn, tag dig ett skarpt svärd och bruka det såsom rakkniv, och för det över ditt huvud och din haka; tag dig så en vågskål och dela det avrakade håret.
“And you, son of man, take a sharp weapon for yourself, take the barber’s razor for yourself, and you have caused [it] to pass over your head, and over your beard, and you have taken weighing scales for yourself, and apportioned them.
2 En tredjedel skall du bränna upp i eld mitt i staden, när belägringsdagarna hava gått till ända; en tredjedel skall du taga ut och slå den med svärdet där runt omkring; och en tredjedel skall du strö ut för vinden, och mitt svärd skall jag draga ut efter dem.
You burn a third part with fire in the midst of the city, at the fullness of the days of the siege; and you have taken the third part, you strike with a weapon around it; and the third part you scatter to the wind, and I draw out a weapon after them.
3 Men några få strån skall du taga undan därifrån, och dem skall du knyta in i flikarna av din mantel.
And you have taken there a few in number—and have bound them in your skirts;
4 Och av dessa strån skall du återigen taga några och kasta dem i elden och bränna upp dem i eld. Härifrån skall en eld gå ut över hela Israels hus.
and you take of them again, and have cast them into the midst of the fire, and have burned them in the fire—out of it comes forth a fire to all the house of Israel.”
5 Så säger Herren, HERREN: Detta år Jerusalem, som jag har satt mitt ibland hednafolken, med länder runt däromkring.
Thus said Lord YHWH: “This [is] Jerusalem, I have set her in the midst of the nations, And the lands [are] around her.
6 Men det var gensträvigt mot mina rätter på ett ännu ogudaktigare sätt än hednafolken, och var ännu mer gensträvigt mot mina stadgar än länderna runt däromkring; ty de förkastade mina rätter och vandrade icke efter mina stadgar.
And she changes My judgments into wickedness more than the nations, And My statutes more than the lands that [are] around her, For they have kicked against My judgments, And My statutes—they have not walked in them.”
7 Därför säger Herren, HERREN så: Eftersom I haven rasat värre än hednafolken runt omkring eder, och icke haven vandrat efter mina stadgar och icke gjort efter mina rätter, ja, icke ens gjort efter de hednafolks rätter, som bo runt omkring eder,
Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: “Because of your multiplying above the nations that [are] around you, You have not walked in My statutes, And you have not done My judgments, According to the judgments of the nations that [are] around you, you have not done.”
8 därför säger Herren, HERREN så: Se, fördenskull skall jag också komma över dig och skipa rätt mitt ibland dig inför hednafolkens ögon;
Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: “Behold, I [am] against you, even I, And I have done judgments in your midst, Before the eyes of the nations.
9 jag skall göra med dig vad jag aldrig förr har gjort, och sådant som jag aldrig mer vill göra, för alla dina styggelsers skull.
And I have done in you that which I have not done, And the like of which I do not do again, Because of all your abominations.
10 Därför skola i dig föräldrar äta sina barn, och barn sina föräldrar; och jag skall skipa rätt i dig och strö ut för alla vindar allt som bliver kvar av dig.
Therefore fathers eat sons in your midst, And sons eat their fathers, And I have done judgments in you, And have scattered all your remnant to every wind.
11 Ja, så sant jag lever, säger Herren, HERREN: sannerligen, därför att du har orenat min helgedom med alla dina skändligheter och alla dina styggelser, skall jag också utan skonsamhet vända bort mitt öga och icke hava någon misskund.
Therefore, [as] I live,” a declaration of Lord YHWH, “Because you have defiled My sanctuary With all your detestable things, And with all your abominations, Therefore I also diminish you, And My eye does not pity, and I do not spare.
12 En tredjedel av dig skall dö av pest och förgås av hunger i dig, en tredjedel skall falla för svärd runt omkring dig; och en tredjedel skall jag strö ut för alla vindar, och mitt svärd skall jag draga ut efter dem.
Your third part dies by pestilence, And are consumed by famine in your midst, And the third part fall by sword around you, And the third part I scatter to every wind, And I draw out a sword after them.
13 Ja, min vrede skall få uttömma sig, och jag skall släcka min förtörnelse på dem och hämnas på dem; och när jag så uttömmer min förtörnelse på dem, skola de förnimma att jag, HERREN, har talat i min nitälskan.
And My anger has been completed, And I have caused My fury to rest on them, And I have been comforted, And they have known that I, YHWH, have spoken in My zeal, In My completing My fury on them.
14 Och jag skall låta dig bliva en ödemark och en smälek bland folken runt omkring dig, inför var mans ögon, som går där fram.
And I give you for a ruin, And for a reproach among nations that [are] around you, Before the eyes of everyone passing by.
15 Ja, det skall bliva till smälek och hån, till varnagel och skräck för folken runt omkring dig, när jag så skipar rätt i dig med vrede och förtörnelse och förtörnelses tuktan. Jag, HERREN, har talat.
And it has been a reproach and a reviling, An instruction and an astonishment, To nations that [are] around you, In My doing judgments in you, In anger and fury, and in furious reproofs, I, YHWH, have spoken.
16 När jag sänder bland dem hungerns onda pilar, som bliva till fördärv, ja, när jag sänder dessa till att fördärva eder och så låter eder hunger bliva allt värre, då skall jag förstöra för eder edert livsuppehälle.
In My sending the evil arrows of famine among them, That have been for destruction, That I send to destroy you, And I am adding famine on you, And I have broken your staff of bread.
17 Jag skall sända över eder hungersnöd och vilddjur, som skola döda edra barn; och pest och blodsutgjutelse skall gå över dig, och svärd skall jag låta komma över dig. Jag, HERREN, har talat.
And I have sent famine and evil beasts on you, And they have bereaved you, And pestilence and blood pass over on you, And I bring a sword in against you, I, YHWH, have spoken!”
