2 Samuelsboken 2
1 Därefter frågade David HERREN: "Skall jag draga upp till någon av Juda städer?" HERREN svarade honom: "Drag upp." Då frågade David: "Vart skall jag draga upp?", Han svarade: "Till Hebron."
And it was after thus and he enquired David by Yahweh - saying ¿ will I go up in one of [the] cities of Judah and he said Yahweh to him go up and he said David where? will I go up and he said Hebron towards.
2 Så drog då David ditupp jämte sina båda hustrur, Ahinoam från Jisreel och Abigail, karmeliten Nabals hustru.
And he went up there David and also [the] two wives his Ahinoam the Jezreelite [woman] and Abigail [the] wife of Nabal the Carmelite.
3 David lät ock sina män draga ditupp, var och en med sitt husfolk; och de bosatte sig i Hebrons städer.
And men his who [were] with him he brought up David each man and household his and they dwelt in [the] cities of Hebron.
4 Dit kommo nu Juda män och smorde David till konung över Juda hus. När man berättade för David att det var männen i Jabes i Gilead som hade begravit Saul,
And they came [the] people of Judah and they anointed there David to king over [the] house of Judah and people told to David saying [the] men of Jabesh Gilead who they buried Saul.
5 skickade David sändebud till männen i Jabes i Gilead och lät säga till dem: "Varen välsignade av HERREN, därför att I haven bevisat eder herre Saul den barmhärtighetstjänsten att begrava honom!
And he sent David messengers to [the] people of Jabesh Gilead and he said to them [be] blessed you by Yahweh that you have done the loyalty this with lord your with Saul and you have buried him.
6 Så må nu ock HERREN bevisa barmhärtighet och trofasthet mot eder. Själv vill jag också göra eder gott, därför att I haven gjort detta.
And now may he do Yahweh with you covenant loyalty and faithfulness and also I I will do with you the good this that you have done the thing this.
7 Varen alltså nu vid gott mod och oförskräckta, fastän eder herre Saul är död; det är nu jag som av Juda hus har blivit smord till konung över dem."
And now - let them be strong hands your and become sons of strength for he has died lord your Saul and also me they have anointed [the] house of Judah to king over them.
8 Men Abner, Ners son, Sauls härhövitsman, tog Sauls son Is-Boset och förde honom över till Mahanaim
And Abner [the] son of Ner [the] commander of [the] army which [belonged] to Saul he had taken Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul and he had brought over him Mahanaim.
9 och gjorde honom till konung i Gilead och asuréernas land och Jisreel, så ock över Efraim, Benjamin och hela det övriga Israel.
And he made king him to Gilead and to the Ashurite[s] and to Jezreel and over Ephraim and over Benjamin and over Israel all of it.
10 Sauls son Is-Boset var fyrtio år gammal, när han blev konung över Israel, och han regerade i två år. Allenast Juda hus höll sig till David.
[was] a son of Forty year[s] Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul when became king he over Israel and two years he reigned only [the] house of Judah they were after David.
11 Den tid David var konung i Hebron över Juda hus utgjorde sammanräknat sju år och sex månader.
And it was [the] number of the days which he was David king in Hebron over [the] house of Judah seven years and six months.
12 Och Abner, Ners son, drog ut med Sauls son Is-Bosets folk ifrån Mahanaim till Gibeon.
And he went out Abner [the] son of Ner and [the] servants of Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul from Mahanaim Gibeon towards.
13 Joab, Serujas son, och Davids folk drogo också ut; och de mötte varandra vid Gibeons damm. Där stannade de på var sin sida om dammen.
And Joab [the] son of Zeruiah and [the] servants of David they went out and they met them at [the] pool of Gibeon together and they sat down these [men] at the pool from this and these [men] at the pool from this.
14 Och Abner sade till Joab: "Må vi låta några unga män stå upp och utföra en krigslek i vår åsyn." Joab svarade: "Må så ske."
And he said Abner to Joab let them arise please the young men and let them play before us and he said Joab let them arise.
15 Då stodo de upp och gingo fram i lika antal: tolv för Benjamin och för Sauls son Is-Boset, och tolv av Davids folk.
And they arose and they passed by by number two [plus] ten for Benjamin and for Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul and two [plus] ten from [the] servants of David.
16 Och de fattade varandra i huvudet och stötte svärdet i sidan på varandra och föllo så allasammans därför blev detta ställe kallat Helkat-Hassurim vid Gibeon.
And they took hold each - on [the] head of neighbor his and sword his [was] in [the] side of neighbor his and they fell together and someone called the place that Helkath Hazzurim which [is] in Gibeon.
17 Sedan begynte en mycket hård strid på den dagen; men Abner och Israels män blevo slagna av Davids folk.
And it was the battle severe up to muchness on the day that and he was defeated Abner and [the] men of Israel before [the] servants of David.
18 Nu funnos där tre söner till Seruja: Joab, Abisai och Asael. Och Asael var snabbfotad såsom en gasell på fältet.
And they were there three [the] sons of Zeruiah Joab and Abishai and Asahel and Asahel [was] swift on feet his like one of the gazelles which [are] in the open country.
19 Och Asael förföljde Abner, utan att vika undan vare sig till höger eller till vänster från Abner.
And he pursued Asahel after Abner and not he turned aside to go to the right and to the left from after Abner.
20 Då vände Abner sig om och sade: "Är det du, Asael?" Han svarade: "Ja."
And he turned Abner behind him and he said ¿ you [is] this O Asahel and he said I.
21 Då sade Abner till honom: "Vänd dig åt annat håll, åt höger eller åt vänster. Angrip någon av de yngre och försök att taga hans rustning." Men Asael ville icke låta honom vara.
And he said to him Abner turn aside for yourself to right your or to left your and seize for yourself one from the young men and take for yourself spoils his and not he was willing Asahel to turn aside from after him.
22 Då sade Abner ännu en gång till Asael: "Låt mig vara. Du vill väl icke att jag skall slå dig till jorden? Huru skulle jag sedan kunna se din broder Joab i ansiktet?"
And he repeated again Abner to say to Asahel turn aside for yourself from after me why? will I strike you [the] ground towards and how? will I lift up face my to Joab brother your.
23 När han ändå icke ville låta honom vara, gav Abner honom med bakändan av sitt spjut en stöt i underlivet, så att spjutet gick ut baktill; och han föll ned där och dog på stället. Och var och en som kom till platsen där Asael hade fallit ned och dött stannade där.
And he refused to turn aside and he struck him Abner with [the] back end of the spear into the belly and it went out the spear from behind him and he fell there and he died (in place his *Q(K)*) and it was every [one] who came to the place where he fell there Asahel and he died and they stood still.
24 Och Joab och Abisai förföljde Abner. Men när solen hade gått ned och de hade kommit till Ammahöjden, som ligger gent emot Gia, åt Gibeons öken till,
And they pursued Joab and Abishai after Abner and the sun it set and they they came to [the] hill of Ammah which [is] on [the] face of Giah [the] way of [the] wilderness of Gibeon.
25 då samlade sig Benjamins barn tillhopa bakom Abner, så att de utgjorde en sluten skara, och intogo en ställning på toppen av en och samma höjd.
And they gathered together [the] descendants of Benjamin behind Abner and they became a band one and they stood on [the] top of a hill one.
26 Och Abner ropade till Joab och sade: "Skall då svärdet få oavlåtligen frossa? Förstår du icke att detta måste leda till ett bittert slut?" Huru länge tänker du dröja, innan du befaller ditt folk att upphöra med att förfölja sina bröder?"
And he called out Abner to Joab and he said ¿ to perpetuity will it devour [the] sword ¿ not do you know? that bitter it will be at the last and until when? not will you say to the people to turn back from after brothers their.
27 Joab svarade: "Så sant Gud lever: om du ingenting hade sagt, då hade folket först i morgon fått draga sig tillbaka och upphöra att förfölja sina bröder."
And he said Joab [by] [the] life of God if if not you had spoken for then from the morning it had abandoned pursuit the people each from after brother his.
28 Därefter lät Joab stöta i basunen; då stannade allt folket och förföljde icke mer Israel. Och sedan stridde de icke vidare.
And he gave a blast Joab on the trumpet and they stood all the people and not they pursued again after Israel and not they repeated again to wage war.
29 Men Abner och hans män tågade genom Hedmarken hela den natten; därefter gingo de över Jordan och tågade vidare hela förmiddagen och kommo så till Mahanaim.
And Abner and men his they went in the Arabah all the night that and they passed over the Jordan and they went all Bitron and they came Mahanaim.
30 Joab åter samlade tillhopa allt folket, sedan han hade upphört att förfölja Abner; då fattades av Davids folk nitton man utom Asael.
And Joab he returned from after Abner and he gathered all the people and they were missed of [the] servants of David nine-teen man and Asah-el.
31 Davids folk hade däremot slagit till döds tre hundra sextio man av Benjamin och av Abners folk.
And [the] servants of David they had struck down of Benjamin and among [the] men of Abner three hundred and sixty man they had died.
32 Och de togo upp Asael och begrovo honom i hans faders grav i Bet-Lehem. Därefter tågade Joab och hans män hela natten och kommo i dagningen till Hebron.
And people lifted up Asahel and they buried him in [the] tomb of father his which [was] Beth-lehem and they went all the night Joab and men his and it became light for them at Hebron.
