2 Kungaboken 7
1 Men Elisa svarade: "Hören HERRENS ord. Så säger HERREN: I morgon vid denna tid skall man få ett sea-mått fint mjöl för en sikel, så ock två sea-mått korn för en sikel, i Samarias port."
Forsothe Elisee seide, Here ye the word of the Lord; the Lord seith these thingis, In this tyme to morewe a buschel of flour schal be for a stater, and twei buschels of barli for a stater, in the yate of Samarie.
2 Den kämpe vid vilkens hand konungen stödde sig svarade då gudsmannen och sade: "Om HERREN också gjorde fönster på himmelen, huru skulle väl detta kunna ske?" Han sade: "Du skall få se det med egna ögon, men du skall icke få äta därav."
And oon of the duykis, on whos hond the kyng lenyde, answeride to the man of God, and seide, Thouy `also the Lord make the goteris of heuene to be openyd, whether that, that thou spekist, mai be? Which Elisee seide, Thou schalt se with thin iyen, and thou schalt not ete therof.
3 Utanför stadsporten uppehöllo sig då fyra spetälska män. Dessa sade till varandra: "Varför skola vi stanna kvar här, till dess vi dö?"
Therfor foure leprouse men weren bisidis the entryng of the yate, whiche seiden togidere, What wolen we be here, til we dien?
4 Om vi besluta oss för att gå in i staden nu då hungersnöd är i staden, så skola vi dö där, och om vi stanna här, skola vi ock dö. Välan då, låt oss gå över till araméernas läger; låta de oss leva, så få vi leva, och döda de oss, så må vi dö."
Whether we wolen entre in to the citee, we schulen die for hungur; whether we dwellen here, we schulen die. Therfor come ye, and fle we ouer to the castels of Sirie; if thei schulen spare vs, we schulen lyue; sotheli if thei wolen sle, netheles we schulen die.
5 Så stodo de då upp i skymningen för att gå in i araméernas läger. Men när de kommo till utkanten av araméernas läger, se, då fanns ingen människa där.
Therfor thei risiden in the euentide to come to the castels of Sirie; and whanne thei hadden come to the bigynnyng of the castels of Sirie, thei founden not ony man there.
6 Ty Herren hade låtit ett dån av vagnar och hästar höras i araméernas läger, ett dån såsom av en stor här, så att de hade sagt till varandra: "Förvisso har Israels konung lejt hjälp mot oss av hetiternas och egyptiernas konungar, för att dessa skola komma över oss."
Forsothe the Lord hadde maad a sown of charis, and of horsis, and of ful myche oost to be herd in the castels of Sirie; and thei seiden togidere, Lo! the kyng of Israel hath hirid bi meede ayens vs the kyngis of Etheis and of Egipcians; and thei camen on vs.
7 Därför hade de brutit upp och flytt i skymningen och hade övergivit sina tält, sina hästar och åsnor, lägret sådant det stod; de hade flytt för att rädda sina liv.
Therfor thei risiden, and fledden in derknessis, and leften her tentis, and horsis, and mulis, and assis, in the castels; and thei fledden, couetynge to saue her lyues oonli.
8 När de spetälska nu kommo till utkanten av lägret, gingo de in i ett tält och åto och drucko, och togo därur silver och guld och kläder, och gingo så bort och gömde det. Sedan vände de tillbaka och gingo in i ett annat tält och togo vad där fanns, och gingo så bort och gömde det.
Therfor whanne thilke leprouse men hadden come to the bigynnyng of the castels, thei entriden into o tabernacle, and eetun, and drunken; and thei token fro thennus siluer, and gold, and clothis; and yeden, and hidden; and eft thei turneden ayen to anothir tabernacle, and in lijk maner thei token awei fro thennus, and hidden.
9 Men därefter sade de till varandra: "Vi bete oss icke rätt. I dag kunna vi frambära ett glädjebudskap. Men om vi nu tiga och vänta till i morgon, när det bliver dager, så skall det tillräknas oss såsom missgärning. Välan då, låt oss gå och berätta detta i konungens hus.
And thei seiden togidere, We doen not riytfuli, for this is a dai of good message; if we holden stille, and nylen telle til the morewtid, we schulen be repreued of trespassyng; come ye, go we, and telle in the `halle of the kyng.
10 Så gingo de åstad och ropade an vakten vid stadsporten och berättade för dem och sade: "Vi kommo till araméernas läger, men där fanns ingen människa, och icke ett ljud av någon människa hördes; där stodo allenast hästarna och åsnorna bundna och tälten såsom de pläga stå."
And whanne thei hadden come to the yate of the citee, thei telden to hem, and seiden, We yeden to the castels of Sirie, and we founden not ony man there, no but horsis and assis tied, and tentis fastned.
11 Detta ropades sedan ut av dem som höllo vakt vid porten, och man förkunnade det också inne i konungens hus.
Therfor the porteris yeden, and telden in the paleis of the kyng with ynne.
12 Konungen stod då upp om natten och sade till sina tjänare: "Jag vill säga eder vad araméerna hava för händer mot oss. De veta att vi lida hungersnöd, därför hava de gått ut ur lägret och gömt sig ute på marken, i det de tänka att de skola gripa oss levande, när vi nu gå ut ur staden, och att de så skola komma in i staden."
Which king roos bi niyt, and seide to hise seruauntis, Y seie to you, what the men of Sirie han do to vs; thei witen, that we trauelen with hungur, therfor thei yeden out of the castels, and ben hid in the feeldis, and seien, Whanne thei schulen go out of the citee, we schulen take hem quyk, and thanne we schulen mowe entre in to the citee.
13 Men en av hans tjänare svarade och sade: "Låt oss taga fem av de återstående hästarna, dem som ännu finnas kvar härinne -- det skall ju eljest gå dem såsom det går hela hopen av israeliter som ännu äro kvar härinne, eller såsom det har gått hela hopen av israeliter som redan hava omkommit -- och låt oss sända åstad och se efter."
Forsothe oon of his seruauntis answeride, Take we fyue horsis, that leften in the citee; for tho ben oonli in al the multitude of Israel, for othere horsis ben wastid; and we sendynge moun aspie.
14 Så tog man då två vagnar med hästar för, och konungen sände dem åstad efter araméernas här och sade: "Faren åstad och sen efter."
Therfor thei brouyten forth twei horsis; and the kyng sente in to the castels of men of Sirie, and seide, Go ye, and se.
15 Dessa foro nu efter dem ända till Jordan; och se, hela vägen var full med kläder och andra saker som araméerna hade kastat ifrån sig, när de hastade bort. Och de utskickade kommo tillbaka och berättade detta för konungen.
Whiche yeden after hem `til to Jordan; lo! forsothe al the weie was ful of clothis, and of vessels, whiche the men of Sirie castiden forth, whanne thei weren disturblid. And the messangeris turneden ayen, and schewiden to the kyng.
16 Då drog folket ut och plundrade Araméernas läger; och nu fick man ett sea-mått fint mjöl för en sikel och likaså två sea-mått korn för en sikel, såsom HERREN hade sagt.
And the puple yede out, and rauyschide the castels of Sirie; and a buyschel of flour was maad for o stater, and twei buyschels of barli for o stater, bi the word of the Lord.
17 Och den kämpe vid vilkens hand konungen plägade stödja sig hade av honom blivit satt till att hålla ordning vid stadsporten; men folket trampade honom till döds i porten, detta i enlighet med gudsmannens ord, vad denne hade sagt, när konungen kom ned till honom.
Forsothe the kyng ordeynede at the yate that duyk, in whos hond the kyng lenyde; whom the cumpeny to-trad with her feet, and he was deed, bi the word, which the man of God spak, whanne the kyng cam doun to hym.
18 Ty när gudsmannen sade till konungen: "I morgon vid denna tid skall man i Samarias port få två sea-mått korn för en sikel och likaså ett sea-mått fint mjöl för en sikel",
And it was doon bi the word of the man of God, which he seide to the kyng, whanne he seide, Twei buyschels of barli shulen be for a statir, and a buyschel of wheete flour for a stater, in this same tyme to morewe in the yate of Samarie;
19 då svarade kämpen gudsmannen och sade: "Om HERREN också gjorde fönster på himmelen, huru skulle väl något sådant kunna ske?" Då sade han: "Du skall få se det med egna ögon, men du skall icke få äta därav."
whanne thilke duyk answeride to the man of God, and seide, Yhe, thouy the Lord schal make the goteris in heuene to be openyd, whether this that thou spekist may be? and the man of God seide, Thou schalt se with thin iyen, and thou schalt not ete therof.
20 Så gick det honom ock, ty folket trampade honom till döds i porten.
Therfore it bifelde to hym, as it was biforseid; and the puple to-trad hym with feet in the yate, and he was deed.
