2 Krönikeboken 31
1 När nu allt detta var till ända, drogo alla israeliter som hade varit där tillstädes ut till Juda städer och slogo sönder stoderna, höggo ned Aserorna och bröto ned offerhöjderna och altarna i hela Juda och Benjamin och i Efraim och Manasse, till dess att de hade gjort ände på dem; sedan vände alla Israels barn tillbaka till sina städer, var och en till sin egendom.
Now, when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went forth unto the cities of Judah, and brake in pieces the pillars—and cut down the Sacred Stems—and threw down the high places and the altars, out of all Judah and Benjamin—and throughout Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had made an end, —then all the sons of Israel returned every man to his own possession, unto their own cities.
2 Och Hiskia förordnade om prästernas och leviternas avdelningar, alltefter som de tillhörde den ena eller den andra avdelningen, så att var och en av såväl prästerna som leviterna fick sitt bestämda göromål, när brännoffer och tackoffer skulle offras, till att därvid göra tjänst och tacka och lovsjunga i portarna till HERRENS läger.
And Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests, and the Levites, over their courses, every man according to the requirements of his service, both priests and Levites, for ascending-sacrifice and for peace-offerings, —to be in attendance and to give thanks and to offer praise, in the gates of the camps of Yahweh;
3 Och konungen anslog en del av sin egendom till brännoffren, nämligen till att offra brännoffer morgon och afton, och till att offra brännoffer på sabbaterna, vid nymånaderna och vid högtiderna, såsom det var föreskrivet i HERRENS lag.
also the portion of the king out of his own substance, for the ascending-sacrifices, —[even] for the ascending-sacrifices of the morning and of the evening, and the ascending-sacrifices for the sabbaths, and for the new moons and for the appointed feasts, —as written in the law of Yahweh.
4 Och han befallde folket som bodde i Jerusalem att giva prästerna och leviterna deras del, för att de skulle kunna hålla fast vid HERRENS lag.
And he bade the people who were dwelling in Jerusalem give the portion of the priests and the Levites, —to the end they might persevere in the law of Yahweh.
5 Och när denna befallning blev känd, gåvo Israels barn rikligen en förstling av säd, vin, olja och honung och av all markens avkastning; och tionde av allt förde de fram i myckenhet.
And, as soon as the thing spread abroad, the sons of Israel caused to abound the firstfruit of corn, new wine, and oil, and honey, and all the increase of the field, -yea, the tithe of all—in abundance, brought they in.
6 Och de av Israels och Juda barn, som bodde i Juda städer, förde ock fram tionde av fäkreatur och små boskap, så ock tionde av de heliga gåvor som helgades åt HERRENS, deras Gud, och lade upp dem i särskilda högar.
And, as for the sons of Israel and Judah who were dwelling in the cities of Judah, even they, a tithe of oxen, and sheep, and a tithe of hallowed things, which had been hallowed unto Yahweh their God, did bring in and pile up—heaps, heaps.
7 I tredje månaden begynte de att lägga upp högarna, och i sjunde månaden hade de slutat därmed.
In the third month, began they the heaps, at the foundation, —and, in the seventh, they finished.
8 När då Hiskia och de överste kommo och sågo högarna, prisade de HERREN och hans folk Israel.
And Hezekiah and the rulers came, and saw the heaps, —and blessed Yahweh, and his people Israel.
9 Och Hiskia frågade prästerna och leviterna om högarna.
Then applied Hezekiah unto the priests and the Levites, concerning the heaps.
10 Då svarade honom översteprästen Asarja, av Sadoks hus, och sade; "Alltsedan man begynte föra fram offergärden till HERRENS hus, hava vi ätit och blivit mätta och dock fått mycket kvar; ty HERREN har välsignat sitt folk, och vad som är kvar är denna stora rikedom."
And Azariah, the chief priest of the house of Zadok, spake unto him, —and said—From the time of beginning to bring in, the heave-offering, into the house of Yahweh—to eat and to be full, there hath still been left, even to this abundance. For, Yahweh, hath blessed his people, and, that which is left, is this great plenty.
11 Och Hiskia befallde att man skulle inreda förrådskamrar i HERRENS hus, och man inredde sådana.
Then Hezekiah gave word to prepare chambers, in the house of Yahweh, and they prepared them;
12 Och i dem förde man in offergärden och tionden och de heliga gåvorna, allt på heder och tro. Och överuppsyningsman däröver var leviten Konanja, och hans närmaste man var hans broder Simei.
and brought in the heave-offering and the tithe and the hallowed things, faithfully, —and, over them, as chief ruler, was Cononiah the Levite, and Shimei his brother, next;
13 Men Jehiel, Asasja, Nahat, Asael, Jerimot, Josabad, Eliel, Jismakja, Mahat och Benaja voro tillsyningsmän under Konanja och hans broder Simei, efter förordnande av konung Hiskia och Asarja, fursten i Guds hus.
and Jehiel and Azaziah and Nahath and Asahel and Jerimoth and Jozabad, and Eliel and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, —overseers under the direction of Cononiah and Shemei his brother, by the appointment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the chief ruler of the house of God.
14 Och leviten Kore, Jimnas son, som var dörrvaktare på östra sidan, hade uppsikten över de frivilliga gåvorna åt Gud och skulle fördela HERRENS offergärd och det högheliga av offren.
And, Kore, son of Imnah the Levite, the door-keeper on the east, was over the freewill offerings of God, —to give the heave-offering of Yahweh, and the most holy things.
15 Och under honom sattes Eden, Minjamin, Jesua, Semaja, Amarja och Sekanja till förtroendemän i präststäderna för att ombesörja utdelningen åt sina bröder, efter deras avdelningar, åt den minste såväl som åt den störste.
And, under his direction, were Eden and Miniamin and Jeshua and Shemaiah, Amariah and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in trust to give unto their brethren by courses, as the great so the small;
16 Härifrån voro undantagna alla sådana i sina släktregister upptecknade personer av mankön, från tre års ålder och därutöver, som skulle infinna sig i HERRENS hus, där var dag de för den dagen bestämda sysslorna skulle utföras genom dem som hade tjänstgöringen, med de särskilda åligganden de hade efter sina avdelningar.
besides registering them by males, from three years old and upward, unto every one that entered into the house of Yahweh, in the need of a day upon its day, —by their service, in their watches, according to their courses:
17 Och vad angick prästernas släktregister, så var det uppgjort efter deras familjer; och av leviterna voro de upptagna, som voro tjugu år gamla eller därutöver, efter sina särskilda åligganden, alltefter sina avdelningar.
both the registering of the priests, by their ancestral houses, and the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, —in their watches, in their courses;
18 Och i släktregistret skulle de vara upptecknade jämte alla sina späda barn, hustrur, söner och döttrar, så många de voro. Ty på heder och tro skulle de förvalta det heliga såsom heligt.
even to the registering of all their little ones, their wives and their sons and their daughters, unto all the convocation, —for, in their trust, they hallowed themselves in holiness;
19 Och för dem av Arons söner, prästerna, som bodde på sina städers utmarker, voro i var särskild stad namngivna män tillsatta, som åt allt mankön bland prästerna och åt alla de leviter som voro upptecknade i släktregistret skulle utdela vad dem tillkom.
also unto the sons of Aaron the priests in the fields of the pasture land of their cities, in every several city, men who were expressed by name, —to give portions to every male among the priests, and to all registered among the Levites.
20 Så förfor Hiskia i hela Juda, och han gjorde inför HERREN, sin Gud, vad gott och rätt och sant var.
And Hezekiah did thus, throughout all Judah, —and he did that which was good and right and faithful, before Yahweh his God.
21 Och allt som han företog sig, när han nu sökte sin Gud, allt, vare sig det angick tjänstgöringen i Guds hus eller det angick lagen och budorden, det gjorde han av allt sitt hjärta, och det lyckades honom väl.
And, in all the work which he began in the service of the house of God—and in the law—and in the commandment, to seek unto his God, with all his heart, he wrought, and prospered.
