1 Kungaboken 3
1 Och Salomo befryndade sig med Farao, konungen i Egypten; han tog Faraos dotter till hustru och förde henne in i Davids stad, och där fick hon bo, till dess han hade byggt sitt hus färdigt, så ock HERRENS hus och muren runt omkring Jerusalem.
and be related Solomon with Pharaoh king Egypt and to take: marry [obj] daughter Pharaoh and to come (in): bring her to(wards) city David till to end: finish he to/for to build [obj] house: home his and [obj] house: temple LORD and [obj] wall Jerusalem around
2 Emellertid offrade folket på höjderna, eftersom ännu vid denna tid intet hus hade blivit byggt åt HERRENS namn.
except [the] people to sacrifice in/on/with high place for not to build house: home to/for name LORD till [the] day [the] they(masc.)
3 Och Salomo älskade HERREN och vandrade efter sin fader Davids stadgar, utom att han frambar offer på höjderna och tände offereld där.
and to love: lover Solomon [obj] LORD to/for to go: walk in/on/with statute David father his except in/on/with high place he/she/it to sacrifice and to offer: offer
4 Och konungen begav sig till Gibeon för att offra där, ty detta var den förnämsta offerhöjden; tusen brännoffer offrade Salomo på altaret där.
and to go: went [the] king Gibeon [to] to/for to sacrifice there for he/she/it [the] high place [the] great: large thousand burnt offering to ascend: offer up Solomon upon [the] altar [the] he/she/it
5 I Gibeon uppenbarade sig nu HERREN för Salomo i en dröm om natten; Gud sade: "Bed mig om vad du vill att jag skall giva dig."
in/on/with Gibeon to see: see LORD to(wards) Solomon in/on/with dream [the] night and to say God to ask what? to give: give to/for you
6 Salomo svarade: "Du har gjort stor nåd med din tjänare, min fader David, eftersom han vandrade inför dig i trohet, rättfärdighet och rättsinnighet mot dig. Och du bevarade åt honom denna stora nåd och gav honom en son till efterträdare på hans tron, såsom ju nu har skett.
and to say Solomon you(m. s.) to make: do with servant/slave your David father my kindness great: large like/as as which to go: walk to/for face: before your in/on/with truth: faithful and in/on/with righteousness and in/on/with uprightness heart with you and to keep: obey to/for him [obj] [the] kindness [the] great: large [the] this and to give: give to/for him son: child to dwell upon throne his like/as day: today [the] this
7 Ja, nu har du, HERRE, min Gud, gjort din tjänare till konung efter min fader David; men jag är en helt ung man, som icke rätt förstår att vara ledare och anförare.
and now LORD God my you(m. s.) to reign [obj] servant/slave your underneath: instead David father my and I youth small not to know to come out: come and to come (in): come
8 Och din tjänare är här bland ditt folk, det som du har utvalt, ett folk som är så talrikt att det icke kan räknas eller täljas för sin myckenhets skull.
and servant/slave your in/on/with midst people your which to choose people many which not to count and not to recount from abundance
9 Så giv nu din tjänare ett hörsamt hjärta, så att han kan vara domare för ditt folk och skilja mellan gott och ont; ty vem förmår väl eljest att vara domare för detta ditt stora folk?"
and to give: give to/for servant/slave your heart to hear: understand to/for to judge [obj] people your to/for to understand between good to/for bad: evil for who? be able to/for to judge [obj] people your [the] heavy [the] this
10 Detta, att Salomo bad om sådant, täcktes Herren.
and be good [the] word: thing in/on/with eye: appearance Lord for to ask Solomon [obj] [the] word: thing [the] this
11 Och Gud sade till honom: "Eftersom du har bett om sådant och icke bett om ett långt liv, ej heller bett om rikedom eller bett om dina fienders liv, utan har bett om att få förstånd till att akta på vad rätt är,
and to say God to(wards) him because which to ask [obj] [the] word: thing [the] this and not to ask to/for you day many and not to ask to/for you riches and not to ask soul: life enemy your and to ask to/for you to understand to/for to hear: judge justice
12 se, därför vill jag göra såsom du önskar; se, jag giver dig ett så vist och förståndigt hjärta, att din like icke har funnits före dig, och att din like ej heller skall uppstå efter dig.
behold to make: do like/as word your behold to give: give to/for you heart wise and to understand which like you not to be to/for face: before your and after you not to arise: rise like you
13 Därtill giver jag dig ock vad du icke har bett om, nämligen både rikedom och ära, så att i all din tid ingen konung skall vara din like.
and also which not to ask to give: give to/for you also riches also glory which not to be like you man: anyone in/on/with king all day your
14 Och om du vandrar på mina vägar, så att du håller mina stadgar och bud, såsom din fader David gjorde, då skall jag låta dig länge leva."
and if to go: walk in/on/with way: conduct my to/for to keep: obey statute: decree my and commandment my like/as as which to go: walk David father your and to prolong [obj] day your
15 Därefter vaknade Salomo och fann att det var en dröm. Och när han kom till Jerusalem, trädde han fram inför Herrens förbundsark och offrade brännoffer och frambar tackoffer; och därefter gjorde han ett gästabud för alla sina tjänare.
and to awake Solomon and behold dream and to come (in): come Jerusalem and to stand: stand to/for face: before ark covenant Lord and to ascend: offer up burnt offering and to make: offer peace offering and to make feast to/for all servant/slave his
16 Vid den tiden kommo två skökor till konungen och trädde fram inför honom.
then to come (in): come two woman to fornicate to(wards) [the] king and to stand: stand to/for face: before his
17 Och den ena kvinnan sade: "Hör mig, herre. Jag och denna kvinna bo i samma hus. Och jag födde barn där i huset hos henne.
and to say [the] woman [the] one please lord my I and [the] woman [the] this to dwell in/on/with house: home one and to beget with her in/on/with house: home
18 Sedan, på tredje dagen efter det jag hade fött mitt barn, födde ock denna kvinna ett barn. Och vi voro tillsammans, utan att någon främmande var hos oss i huset; allenast vi båda voro i huset.
and to be in/on/with day [the] third to/for to beget me and to beget also [the] woman [the] this and we together nothing be a stranger with us in/on/with house: home exception two we in/on/with house: home
19 Men en natt dog denna kvinnas son, ty hon hade legat ihjäl honom.
and to die son: child [the] woman [the] this night which to lie down: lay down upon him
20 Då stod hon upp om natten och tog min son från min sida, under det att din tjänarinna sov, och lade honom i sin famn, men sin döde son lade hon i min famn.
and to arise: rise in/on/with midst [the] night and to take: take [obj] son: child my from beside me and maidservant your sleeping and to lie down: lay down him in/on/with bosom: embrace her and [obj] son: child her [the] to die to lie down: lay down in/on/with bosom: embrace my
21 När jag då om morgonen reste mig upp för att giva min son di, fick jag se att han var död. Men när jag såg nogare på honom om morgonen, fick jag se att det icke var min son, den som jag hade fött."
and to arise: rise in/on/with morning to/for to suckle [obj] son: child my and behold to die and to understand to(wards) him in/on/with morning and behold not to be son: child my which to beget
22 Då sade den andra kvinnan: "Det är icke så. Min son är den som lever, och din son är den som är död." Men den första svarade: "Det är icke så. Din son är den som är död, och min son är den som lever." Så tvistade de inför konungen.

23 Då sade konungen: "Den ena säger: 'Denne, den som lever, är min son, och din son är den som är död.' Och den andra säger: 'Det är icke så. Din son är den som är död, och min son är den som lever.'"

24 Därefter sade konungen: "Tagen hit ett svärd." Och när man hade burit svärdet fram till konungen,

25 sade konungen: "Huggen det levande barnet i två delar, och given den ena hälften åt den ena och den andra hälften åt den andra."
and to say [the] king to cut [obj] [the] youth [the] alive to/for two and to give: give [obj] [the] half to/for one and [obj] [the] half to/for one
26 Men då sade den kvinna vilkens son det levande barnet var till konungen -- ty hennes hjärta upprördes av kärlek till sonen -- hon sade: "Hör mig, herre; given henne det levande barnet; döden det icke." Men den andra sade: "Må det vara varken mitt eller ditt; huggen det itu."

27 Då tog konungen till orda och sade: "Given henne det levande barnet; döden det icke. Hon är dess moder."
and to answer [the] king and to say to give: give to/for her [obj] [the] to beget [the] alive and to die not to die him he/she/it mother his
28 När nu hela Israel fick höra talas om den dom som konungen hade fällt, häpnade de över konungen, ty de sågo att Guds vishet var i honom till att skipa rätt.
and to hear: hear all Israel [obj] [the] justice: judgement which to judge [the] king and to fear: revere from face of [the] king for to see: examine for wisdom God in/on/with entrails: among his to/for to make: do justice
