1 Krönikeboken 14
1 Och Hiram, konungen i Tyrus, skickade sändebud till David med cederträ, därjämte ock murare och timmermän, för att de skulle bygga honom ett hus.
And he sent (Huram *Q(K)*) [the] king of Tyre messengers to David and wood of cedar and craftsmen of a wall and craftsmen of wood to build for him a house.
2 Och David märkte att HERREN hade befäst honom såsom konung över Israel; ty han hade låtit hans rike bliva övermåttan upphöjt, för sitt folk Israels skull.
And he knew David that he had appointed him Yahweh to king over Israel that [was] exalted upwards kingdom his for sake of people his Israel.
3 Och David tog sig ännu flera hustrur i Jerusalem, och David födde ännu flera söner och döttrar.
And he took David again wives in Jerusalem and he fathered David again sons and daughters.
4 Dessa äro namnen på de söner som han fick i Jerusalem: Sammua, Sobab, Natan, Salomo,
And these [are] [the] names of the [ones] born who they belonged to him in Jerusalem Shammua and Shobab Nathan and Solomon.
5 Jibhar, Elisua, Elpelet,
And Ibhar and Elishua and Elpelet.
6 Noga, Nefeg, Jafia,
And Nogah and Nepheg and Japhia.
7 Elisama, Beeljada och Elifelet.
And Elishama and Beeliada and Eliphelet.
8 Men när filistéerna hörde att David hade blivit smord till konung över hela Israel, drogo de allasammans upp för att fånga David. När David hörde detta, drog han ut mot dem.
And they heard [the] Philistines that he had been anointed David to king over all Israel and they went up all [the] Philistines to seek David and he heard David and he went out before them.
9 Då nu filistéerna hade fallit in i Refaimsdalen och där företogo plundringståg,
And [the] Philistines they had come and they had made a raid in [the] valley of [the] Rephaites.
10 frågade David Gud: "Skall jag draga upp mot filistéerna? Vill du då giva dem i min hand?" HERREN svarade honom: "Drag upp; jag vill giva dem i din hand."
And he enquired David by God saying ¿ will I go up on ([the] Philistines *Q(k)*) and will you give? them in hand my and he said to him Yahweh go up and I will give them in hand your.
11 Och de drogo upp till Baal-Perasim, och där slog David dem. Då sade David: "Gud har brutit ned mina fiender genom min hand, likasom en vattenflod bryter ned." Därav fick det stället namnet Baal-Perasim.
And they went up at Baal Perazim and he struck down them there David and he said David he has burst out against God enemies my by hand my like a bursting out of water there-fore people called [the] name of the place that Baal Perazim.
12 De lämnade där efter sig sina gudar; och David befallde att dessa skulle brännas upp i eld.
And they abandoned there gods their and he spoke David and they were burned with fire.
13 Men filistéerna företogo ännu en gång plundringståg i dalen.
And they repeated again [the] Philistines and they made a raid in the valley.
14 När David då åter frågade Gud, svarade Gud honom: "Du skall icke draga upp efter dem; du må kringgå dem på en omväg, så att du kommer över dem från det håll där bakaträden stå.
And he enquired again David by God and he said to him God not you will go up after them go around from on them and you will come to them from [the] front of the balsam trees.
15 Så snart du sedan hör ljudet av steg i bakaträdens toppar, drag då ut till strid, ty då har Gud dragit ut framför dig till att slå filistéernas här."
So may it be when hearing you [the] sound of marching in [the] tops of the balsam trees then you will go out in battle for he has gone out God before you to strike down [the] camp of [the] Philistines.
16 David gjorde såsom Gud hade bjudit honom; och de slogo filistéernas här och förföljde dem från Gibeon ända till Geser.
And he did David just as he had commanded him God and they struck down [the] camp of [the] Philistines from Gibeon and to Gezer.
17 Och ryktet om David gick ut i alla länder, och HERREN lät fruktan för honom komma över alla folk.
And it went out [the] name of David in all the lands and Yahweh he put dread of him on all the nations.
