Psaltaren 5
1 För sångmästaren, till Nehilót; en psalm av David.
Unto the end. For her who pursues the inheritance. A Psalm of David. O Lord, listen closely to my words. Understand my outcry.
2 Lyssna till mina ord, HERRE; förnim min suckan.
Attend to the voice of my prayer, my King and my God.
3 Akta på mitt klagorop, du min konung och min Gud; ty till dig vill jag ställa min bön.
For to you, I will pray. In the morning, Lord, you will hear my voice.
4 HERRE, bittida hör du nu min röst, bittida frambär jag mitt offer till dig och skådar efter dig.
In the morning, I will stand before you, and I will see. For you are not a God who wills iniquity.
5 Ty du är icke en Gud som har behag till ogudaktighet; den som är ond får icke bo hos dig.
And the malicious will not dwell close to you, nor will the unjust endure before your eyes.
6 De övermodiga bestå icke inför dina ögon; du hatar alla ogärningsmän.
You hate all who work iniquity. You will destroy all who speak a lie. The bloody and deceitful man, the Lord will abominate.
7 Du förgör dem som tala lögn; de blodgiriga och falska äro en styggelse för HERREN.
But I am in the multitude of your mercy. I will enter your house. I will show adoration toward your holy temple, in your fear.
8 Men jag får gå in i ditt hus, genom din stora nåd; jag får tillbedja i din fruktan, vänd mot ditt heliga tempel.
Lord, lead me in your justice. Because of my enemies, direct my way in your sight.
9 HERRE, led mig genom din rättfärdighet, för mina förföljares skull; gör din väg jämn för mig.
For there is no truth in their mouth: their heart is vain.
10 Ty i deras mun är intet visst, deras innersta är fördärv, en öppen grav är deras strupe, sin tunga göra de hal.
Their throat is an open sepulcher. They have acted deceitfully with their tongues. Judge them, O God. Let them fall by their own intentions: according to the multitude of their impiety, expel them. For they have provoked you, O Lord.
11 Döm dem, o Gud; må de komma på fall med sina anslag. Driv bort dem för deras många överträdelsers skull, eftersom de äro gensträviga mot dig.
But let all those who hope in you rejoice. They will exult in eternity, and you will dwell in them. And all those who love your name will glory in you.
12 Men låt alla dem glädjas, som taga sin tillflykt till dig; evinnerligen må de jubla, ty du beskärmar dem; i dig må de fröjda sig, som hava ditt namn kärt. Ty du, HERRE, välsignar den rättfärdige; du betäcker honom med nåd såsom med en sköld.
For you will bless the just. You have crowned us, O Lord, as if with a shield of your good will.
