Josua 4
1 Då nu allt folket helt och hållet hade kommit över Jordan, sade HERREN till Josua:
And it was just when they had finished all the nation to pass over the Jordan. And he said Yahweh to Joshua saying.
2 »Väljen ut bland folket tolv män, en man ur var stam,
Take for yourselves from the people two [plus] ten men a man one a man one from a tribe.
3 och bjuden dem och sägen: 'Tagen här ur Jordan, från den plats där prästerna stodo med sina fötter, tolv stenar, och lyften upp dem och fören dem över med eder, och läggen ned dem på det ställe, där I skolen lägra eder i natt.'»
And command them saying take up for yourselves from here from [the] middle of the Jordan from [the] standing-place of [the] feet of the priests to make firm two [plus] ten stones and you will take over them with you and you will set down them at the lodging place which you will stay at it this night.
4 Då kallade Josua till sig de tolv män som han hade utsett bland Israels barn, en man ur var stam.
And he called Joshua to two [plus] the ten man whom he had appointed from [the] people of Israel a man one a man one from a tribe.
5 Och Josua sade till dem: »Dragen åstad framför HERRENS, eder Guds, ark, och gån ut mitt i Jordan; och var och en av eder må där lyfta upp en sten på axeln, efter antalet av Israels barns stammar.
And he said to them Joshua pass over before [the] ark of Yahweh God your into [the] middle of the Jordan and take up for yourselves each a stone one on shoulder his to [the] number of [the] tribes of [the] people of Israel.
6 Detta skall nämligen bliva ett minnesmärke bland eder. När då edra barn i framtiden fråga: 'Vad betyda dessa stenar?',
So that it may be this a sign in midst your if they will ask! children your tomorrow saying what? [are] the stones these to you.
7 skolen I svara dem så: 'De betyda att Jordans vatten här blev avskuret i sitt lopp, framför HERRENS förbundsark; ja, när den gick över Jordan, blev Jordans vatten avskuret i sitt lopp. Därför skola dessa stenar vara ett åminnelsemärke för Israels barn till evärdlig tid.'»
And you will say to them that they were cut off [the] waters of the Jordan from before [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh when passed on it in the Jordan they were cut off [the] waters of the Jordan and they will become the stones these a reminder to [the] people of Israel until perpetuity.
8 Då gjorde Israels barn såsom Josua bjöd dem; de togo upp tolv stenar ur Jordan, såsom HERREN hade tillsagt Josua, efter antalet av Israels barns stammar; och de förde dem över med sig till lägerstället och lade ned dem där.
And they did thus [the] people of Israel just as he had commanded Joshua and they took up two [plus] ten stones from [the] middle of the Jordan just as he had said Yahweh to Joshua to [the] number of [the] tribes of [the] people of Israel and they took over them with them to the lodging place and they set down them there.
9 Tillika reste Josua tolv stenar mitt i Jordan, på samma plats där prästerna som buro förbundsarken hade stått med sina fötter; och de finnas kvar där ännu i dag.
And two [plus] ten stones he set up Joshua in [the] middle of the Jordan in [the] standing-place of [the] feet of the priests [the] bearers of [the] ark of the covenant and they have been there until the day this.
10 Och prästerna som buro arken blevo stående mitt i Jordan, till dess att allt det var fullgjort, som HERREN hade bjudit Josua att tillsäga folket, alldeles i enlighet med vad Mose förut hade bjudit Josua; och folket gick över med hast.
And the priests [the] bearers of the ark [were] standing in [the] middle of the Jordan until was finished every thing which he had commanded Yahweh Joshua to speak to the people according to all that he had commanded Moses Joshua and they hurried the people and they passed over.
11 Men när allt folket helt och hållet hade kommit över, gick ock HERRENS ark över, jämte prästerna, och tog plats framför folket.
And it was just when it had finished all the people to pass over and it passed over [the] ark of Yahweh and the priests before the people.
12 Och Rubens barn och Gads barn och ena hälften av Manasse stam drogo väpnade åstad i spetsen för Israels barn, såsom Mose hade tillsagt dem.
And they passed over [the] descendants of Reuben and [the] descendants of Gad and [the] half of [the] tribe of Manasseh arrayed for battle before [the] people of Israel just as he had spoken to them Moses.
13 Det var vid pass fyrtio tusen män som så drogo åstad, väpnade till strid, för att kämpa inför HERREN på Jerikos hedmarker.
About forty thousand armed [men] of war they passed over before Yahweh for battle to [the] plains of Jericho.
14 På den dagen gjorde HERREN Josua stor i hela Israels ögon, och de fruktade honom, såsom de fruktat Mose, så länge denne levde.
On the day that he made great Yahweh Joshua in [the] eyes of all Israel and they feared him just as they had feared Moses all [the] days of life his.
15 Och HERREN sade till Josua:
And he said Yahweh to Joshua saying.
16 »Bjud prästerna som bära vittnesbördets ark att stiga upp ur Jordan.»
Command the priests [the] bearers of [the] ark of the testimony so they may come up from the Jordan.
17 Och Josua bjöd prästerna och sade: »Stigen upp ur Jordan.»
And he commanded Joshua the priests saying come up from the Jordan.
18 När då prästerna som buro HERRENS förbundsark stego upp ur Jordan, hade deras fötter knappt hunnit upp på torra landet, förrän Jordans vatten vände tillbaka till sin plats och nådde, såsom förut, upp över alla sina bräddar.
And it was (just as came up *Q(K)*) the priests [the] bearers of [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh from [the] middle of the Jordan they were drawn out [the] soles of [the] feet of the priests to the dry ground and they returned [the] waters of the Jordan to place their and they went as yesterday three days ago over all banks its.
19 Det var på tionde dagen i första månaden som folket steg upp ur Jordan; och de lägrade sig i Gilgal, på gränsen av östra Jerikoområdet.
And the people they went up from the Jordan on the ten of the month first and they encamped at Gilgal on [the] edge of [the] east of Jericho.
20 Och de tolv stenarna som de hade tagit ur Jordan reste Josua i Gilgal.
And two [plus] ten the stones these which they had taken from the Jordan he set up Joshua at Gilgal.
21 Och han sade till Israels barn: »När nu edra barn i framtiden fråga sina fäder: 'Vad betyda dessa stenar?',
And he said to [the] people of Israel saying that they will ask! children your tomorrow fathers their saying what? [are] the stones these.
22 då skolen I göra det kunnigt för edra barn och säga: 'Israel gick på torr mark över denna Jordan,
And you will make known to children your saying on the dry ground it passed over Israel the Jordan this.
23 i det att HERREN, eder Gud, lät vattnet i Jordan torka ut framför eder, till dess I haden gått över den, likasom HERREN, eder Gud, gjorde med Röda havet, som han lät torka ut framför oss, till dess vi hade gått över det;
That he dried up Yahweh God your [the] waters of the Jordan from before you until had passed over you just as he did Yahweh God your to [the] sea of reed[s] which he dried up from before us until had passed over we.
24 på det att alla folk på jorden må förnimma huru stark HERRENS hand är, så att I frukten HERREN, eder Gud, alltid.'»
So as to know all [the] peoples of the earth [the] hand of Yahweh that [is] mighty it so that you may fear Yahweh God your all the days.
