2 Kungaboken 20

1 Vid den tiden blev Hiskia dödssjuk; och profeten Jesaja, Amos' son, kom till honom och sade till honom: »Så säger HERREN: Beställ om ditt hus; ty du måste dö och skall icke tillfriskna.»

In the days those he became sick Hezekiah to die and he came to him Isaiah [the] son of Amoz the prophet and he said to him thus he says Yahweh command to household your that [are] about to die you and not you will live.

2 Då vände han sitt ansikte mot väggen och bad till HERREN och sade:

And he turned around face his to the wall and he prayed to Yahweh saying.

3 »Ack HERRE, tänk dock på huru jag har vandrat inför dig i trohet och med hängivet hjärta och gjort vad gott är i dina ögon.» Och Hiskia grät bitterligen.

I beg you O Yahweh remember please this: I have walked about before you in faithfulness and with a heart complete and the good in view your I have done and he wept Hezekiah weeping great.

4 Men innan Jesaja hade hunnit ut ur den inre staden, kom HERRENS ord till honom; han sade:

And it was Isaiah not he had gone out ([the] court *Q(K)*) middle and [the] word of Yahweh it came to him saying.

5 »Vänd om och säg till Hiskia, fursten över mitt folk: Så säger HERREN, din fader Davids Gud: Jag har hört din bön, jag har sett dina tårar. Se, jag vill göra dig frisk; i övermorgon skall du få gå upp i HERRENS hus.

Go back and you will say to Hezekiah [the] ruler of people my thus he says Yahweh [the] God of David ancestor your I have heard prayer your I have seen tear[s] your here I [am] about to heal you on the day third you will go up [the] house of Yahweh.

6 Och jag skall föröka din livstid med femton år; jag skall ock rädda dig och denna stad ur den assyriske konungens hand. Ja, jag skall beskärma denna stad, för min skull och för min tjänare Davids skull.

And I will add to days your fif-teen year[s] and from [the] hand of [the] king of Assyria I will deliver you and the city this and I will defend the city this for own sake my and for [the] sake of David servant my.

7 Och Jesaja sade: »Hämten hit en fikonkaka.» Då hämtade man en sådan och lade den på bulnaden. Och han tillfrisknade.

And he said Isaiah take a cake of figs and people took [it] and they put [it] on the boil and he lived.

8 Och Hiskia sade till Jesaja: »Vad för ett tecken gives mig därpå att HERREN skall göra mig frisk, så att jag i övermorgon får gå upp i HERRENS hus?»

And he said Hezekiah to Isaiah what? [will be] a sign that he will heal Yahweh me and I will go up on the day third [the] house of Yahweh.

9 Jesaja svarade: »Detta skall för dig vara tecknet från HERREN därpå att HERREN skall göra vad han har lovat: skuggan har gått tio steg framåt; skall den nu gå tio steg tillbaka?»

And he said Isaiah this for you [will be] the sign from with Yahweh that he will do Yahweh the thing which he has spoken it has gone the shadow ten steps or? will it go back ten steps.

10 Hiskia sade: »Det är lätt för skuggan att sträcka sig tio steg framåt. Nej, låt skuggan gå tio steg tillbaka.»

And he said Hezekiah it is trifling to the shadow to stretch out ten steps In-deed let it go back the shadow backwards ten steps.

11 Då ropade profeten Jesaja till HERREN, och han lät skuggan på Ahas' solvisare gå tillbaka de tio steg som den redan hade lagt till rygga.

And he called out Isaiah the prophet to Yahweh and he turned back the shadow on the steps which it had gone down on [the] steps of Ahaz backwards ten steps.

12 Vid samma tid sände Berodak-Baladan, Baladans son, konungen i Babel, brev och skänker till Hiskia, ty han hade sport att Hiskia hade varit sjuk.

At the time that he sent Merodach-Baladan [the] son of Baladan [the] king of Babylon letters and a gift to Hezekiah for he had heard that he had been sick Hezekiah.

13 Och när Hiskia hade hört på dem, visade han dem hela sitt förrådshus, sitt silver och guld, sina välluktande kryddor och sina dyrbara oljor, och hela sitt tyghus och allt vad som fanns i hans skattkamrar. Intet fanns i Hiskias hus eller eljest i hans ägo, som han icke visade dem.

And he listened to them Hezekiah and he showed them all [the] house of (treasure his *Q(K)*) the silver and the gold and the spices and - [the] oil of the good and [the] house of weapons his and all that it was found in storehouses his not it was anything which not he showed them Hezekiah in house his and in all realm his.

14 Men profeten Jesaja kom till konung Hiskia och sade till honom: »Vad hava dessa män sagt, och varifrån hava de kommit till dig?» Hiskia svarade: »De hava kommit ifrån fjärran land, ifrån Babel.»

And he came Isaiah the prophet to the king Hezekiah and he said to him what? did they say - the men these and from where? are they coming to you and he said Hezekiah from a land distant they came from Babylon.

15 Han sade vidare: »Vad hava de sett i ditt hus?» Hiskia svarade: »Allt som är i mitt hus hava de sett; intet finnes i mina skattkamrar, som jag icke har visat dem.»

And he said what? did they see in house your and he said Hezekiah all that [is] in house my they saw not it was anything which not I showed them in storehouses my.

16 Då sade Jesaja till Hiskia: »Hör HERRENS ord:

And he said Isaiah to Hezekiah hear [the] word of Yahweh.

17 Se, dagar skola komma, då allt som finnes i ditt hus, och som dina fäder hava samlat ända till denna dag skall föras bort till Babel; intet skall bliva kvar, säger HERREN.

Here! days [are] coming and it will be carried off - all that [is] in house your and [that] which they have stored up ancestors your until the day this Babylon towards not it will be left behind anything he says Yahweh.

18 Och söner till dig, de som skola utgå av dig, och som du skall föda, dem skall man taga, och de skola bliva hovtjänare i den babyloniske konungens palats.»

And some of descendants your who they will come forth from you whom you will father (people will take away *Q(K)*) and they will be eunuchs in [the] palace of [the] king of Babylon.

19 Hiskia sade till Jesaja: »Gott är det HERRENS ord som du har talat.» Och han sade ytterligare: »Ja, om nu blott frid och trygghet få råda i min tid.»

And he said Hezekiah to Isaiah [is] good [the] word of Yahweh which you have spoken and he said ¿ not if peace and stability it will be in days my.

20 Vad nu mer är att säga om Hiskia och om alla hans bedrifter, och om huru han anlade dammen och vattenledningen och ledde vatten in i staden, det finnes upptecknat Juda konungars krönika.

And [the] rest of [the] matters of Hezekiah and all might his and which he made the pool and the conduit and he brought the waters the city towards ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.

21 Och Hiskia gick till vila hos sina fäder. Och hans son Manasse blev konung efter honom.

And he lay down Hezekiah with ancestors his and he became king Manasseh son his in place of him.
