Psaltaren 99

1 Herren är Konung, derföre vredgas folken; han sitter på Cherubim, derföre upprörer sig verlden.

The Lord reigneth, let the people tremble: he sitteth betweene the Cherubims, let the earth be moued.

2 Herren är stor i Zion, och hög öfver all folk.

The Lord is great in Zion, and he is high aboue all the people.

3 Man tacke ditt stora och underliga Namn, det heligt är.

They shall prayse thy great and fearefull Name (for it is holy)

4 Uti denna Konungens rike älskar man det rätt är; du gifver fromhet, du skaffar dom och rättfärdighet i Jacob.

And the Kings power, that loueth iudgement: for thou hast prepared equitie: thou hast executed iudgement and iustice in Iaakob.

5 Upphöjer Herran vår Gud; tillbedjer vid hans fotapall; ty han är helig.

Exalt the Lord our God, and fall downe before his footestoole: for he is holy.

6 Mose och Aaron ibland hans Prester, och Samuel ibland dem som hans Namn åkalla; de åkallade Herran, och han bönhörde dem.

Moses and Aaron were among his Priests, and Samuel among such as call vpon his Name: these called vpon the Lord, and he heard them.

7 Han talade med dem genom en molnstod; de höllo hans vittnesbörd och bud, som han dem gaf.

Hee spake vnto them in the cloudie pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the Lawe that he gaue them.

8 Herre, du äst vår Gud; du bönhörde dem; du, Gud, gaf dem till, och straffade deras verk.

Thou heardest them, O Lord our God: thou wast a fauourable God vnto them, though thou didst take vengeance for their inuentions.

9 Upphöjer Herran vår Gud, och tillbedjer på hans helga berg; tv Herren vår Gud är helig.

Exalt the Lord our God, and fall downe before his holy Mountaine: for the Lord our God is holy.
