Psaltaren 98

1 En Psalm. Sjunger Herranom en ny viso, ty han gör underlig ting; han vinner seger med sine högra hand, och med sinom helga arm.

A Psalm. Sing ye unto Jehovah a new song: for he hath done wondrous things; his right hand and his holy arm hath wrought salvation for him.

2 Herren låter förkunna sina salighet; för folken låter han uppenbara sina rättfärdighet.

Jehovah hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the nations.

3 Han tänker uppå sina nåde och sanning Israels huse; alle verldenes ändar se vår Guds salighet.

He hath remembered his loving-kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Glädjens Herranom, all verlden; sjunger, priser och lofver.

Shout aloud unto Jehovah, all the earth; break forth and shout for joy, and sing psalms.

5 Lofver Herran med harpor, med harpor och psalmer;

Sing psalms unto Jehovah with the harp: with the harp, and the voice of a song;

6 Med trummeter och basuner; fröjdens för Herranom, Konungenom.

With trumpets and sound of cornet, make a joyful noise before the King, Jehovah.

7 Hafvet fräse, och hvad deruti är; jordenes krets, och de deruppå bo.

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein;

8 Vattuströmmarna fröjde sig, och all berg vare glad,

Let the floods clap [their] hands; let the mountains sing for joy together,

9 För Herranom; ty han kommer till att döma jordena; han skall döma jordenes krets med rättfärdighet, och folken med rätt.

Before Jehovah, for he cometh to judge the earth: he will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.
