Psaltaren 92
1 En Psalm till att sjunga på Sabbathsdagen. Det är en kostelig ting att tacka Herranom, och lofsjunga dino Namne, du Aldrahögste;
Yahweh, it is good for people to thank you and to sing to praise you [MTY] who are greater than any other god.
2 Om morgonen förkunna dina nåde. och om aftonen dina sanning;
It is good to proclaim every morning that you faithfully love us, and each night [to sing songs that] declare that you always do what you have promised to do,
3 På tio stränger, och psaltare; med spelande på harpo.
accompanied by [musicians playing] harps that have ten strings, and by the sounds made by a lyre.
4 Ty, Herre, du låter mig gladeligen sjunga om dine verk, och jag berömmer dina händers verk.
Yahweh, you have caused me to be glad; I sing joyfully because of what you [SYN] have done.
5 Herre, huru äro dine verk så store! dine tankar äro så svåra djupe.
Yahweh, the things that you do are great! But it is difficult for us to understand [all] that you think.
6 En galen tror det intet, och en dåre aktar sådant intet.
There are things [that you do] that foolish people cannot know about, things that stupid people cannot understand.
7 De ogudaktige grönskas såsom gräs, och de ogerningsmän blomstras alle; tilldess de förderfvade varda till evig tid.
They do not understand that although the number of wicked [people] increases [like blades of] grass do [SIM], and they prosper, they will be completely destroyed.
8 Men du, Herre, äst den Högste, och blifver evinnerliga.
But Yahweh, you [will] exalted/be honored/rule) forever.
9 Ty si, dine fiender, Herre, si, dine fiender skola förgås, och alle ogerningsmän måste förströdde varda.
Yahweh, your enemies will [certainly] die, and those who do wicked things will be defeated/scattered.
10 Men mitt horn skall upphöjdt varda, såsom ens enhörnings, och jag varda smord med färska oljo.
But you have caused me to be as strong [MTY] as [SIM] a wild ox; you have caused me to be very joyful [MTY].
11 Och mitt öga skall lust se på mina fiendar, och mitt öra skall lust höra på de arga, som sig emot mig sätta.
I [SYN] have seen you defeat my enemies; d I have heard those evil men wail/scream while they were being slaughtered.
12 Den rättfärdige skall grönskas, såsom ett palmträ; han skall växa, såsom ett cedreträ på Libanon.
But righteous [people] will prosper like [SIM] palm trees that grow well, or like [SIM] cedar [trees] that grow in Lebanon.
13 De der planterade äro uti Herrans hus, de skola i vår Guds gårdom grönskas.
[They are like the trees] that grow near the temple of Yahweh [in Jerusalem], those trees that are close to the courtyard of the temple of our God.
14 Och om de än gamle varda, skola de likväl blomstras, fruktsamme och färske vara;
[Even] when righteous people become old, they do many things [IDM] [that please God]. They remain strong and full of energy, [like trees that] [MET] remain full of sap.
15 Att de förkunna skola, att Herren så from är; min tröst, och intet orätt är i honom.
That shows that Yahweh is just; he is [like a huge] rock [under which I am safe/protected], and he never does anything that is wicked/wrong.
