1 En undervisning Ethans, dens Esrahitens. Jag vill sjunga om Herrans nåde evinnerliga, och hans sanning förkunna med minom mun, ifrå slägte till slägte;

2 Och säger alltså, att en evig nåd skall uppgå; och du varder dina sanning i himmelen troliga hållandes.
For I have said forever covenant loyalty it will be built [the] heavens - you establish faithfulness your in them.
3 Jag hafver gjort ett förbund med minom utkorade; minom tjenare David hafver jag svorit:
I have made a covenant to chosen one my I have sworn an oath to David servant my.
4 Jag skall förskaffa dig en evig säd, och bygga din stol ifrå slägte till slägte. (Sela)
Until perpetuity I will establish offspring your and I will build to a generation and a generation throne your (Selah)
5 Och himlarna, Herre, skola prisa din under, och dina sanning, uti de heligas församling.
So they may praise [the] heavens wonder[s] your O Yahweh also faithfulness your in [the] assembly of [the] holy [ones].
6 Ty ho kan i skyn liknas vid Herran; och ibland gudarnas barn Herranom lik vara?
For who? in the cloud[s] is he comparable to Yahweh is he like? Yahweh among [the] sons of gods.
7 Gud är fast mägtig uti de heligas församling, och underlig öfver alla de som omkring honom äro.
God [is] awesome in [the] council of [the] holy [ones] much and to be feared above all [those] around him.
8 Herre Gud Zebaoth, ho är såsom du, en mägtig Herre? Och din sanning är allt omkring dig.
O Yahweh - God of hosts who? like you [is] mighty - O Yahweh and faithfulness your [is] around you.
9 Du råder öfver det stormande hafvet; du styrer dess böljor, när de upphäfva sig.
You [are] ruling over [the] swelling of the sea when rise up waves its you you calm them.
10 Du slår Rahab till döds; du förströr dina fiendar, med dinom starka arm.
You you crushed like [one] slain Rahab with [the] arm of strength your you scattered enemies your.
11 Himmel och jord äro din; du hafver grundat jordenes krets, och hvad deruti är.
[belongs] to You heaven also [belongs] to you [the] earth [the] world and what fills it you you founded them.
12 Norr och söder hafver du skapat; Thabor och Hermon fröjdar sig i ditt Namn.
[the] north And [the] south you you created them Tabor and Hermon at name your they shout for joy.
13 Du hafver en väldig arm; stark är din hand, och hög är din högra hand.
[belongs] to You an arm with strength it is strong hand your it is exalted right [hand] your.
14 Rättfärdighet och dom är dins stols stadfästelse; nåd och sanning äro för ditt ansigte.
[is] righteousness And justice [the] foundation of throne your covenant loyalty and faithfulness they come to meet face your.
15 Väl är de folke, som fröjdas kan; Herre, de skola vandra i dins ansigtes ljus.
How blessed! [is] the people [which] know a shout of joy O Yahweh in [the] light of presence your they walk!
16 De skola dagliga öfver ditt Namn glade vara, och i dine rättfärdighet härlige vara.
In name your they rejoice! all the day and in righteousness your they are exalted.
17 Ty du äst deras starkhets berömmelse, och genom dina nåde skall du upphöja vårt horn.
For [are] [the] splendor of strength their you and in favor your (it is exalted *Q(K)*) horn our.
18 Ty Herren är vår sköld, och den Helige i Israel är vår Konung.
For [belongs] to Yahweh shield our and [belongs] to [the] holy [one] of Israel king our.
19 På den tiden talade du i en syn till dina heliga, och sade: Jag hafver uppväckt en hjelta, den hjelpa skall; jag hafver upphöjt en utkoradan utu folket.
Then you spoke in a vision to faithful [people] your and you said I have placed help on a warrior I have raised up a chosen [one] from [the] people.
20 Jag hafver funnit min tjenare David; jag hafver smort honom med mina helga oljo.
I have found David servant my with [the] oil of holiness my I have anointed him.
21 Min hand uppehåller honom, och min arm skall styrka honom.
Whom hand my it will be steadfast with him also arm my it will strengthen him.
22 Fienderna skola icke vara honom öfvermägtige, och de orättfärdige skola icke förtrycka honom;
Not he will deceive an enemy him and a son of injustice not he will afflict him.
23 Utan jag skall slå hans ovänner för honom, och de honom hata, vill jag plåga.
And I will crush from before him opponents his and [those who] hate him I will strike down.
24 Men min sanning och nåd skall när honom vara; och hans horn skall i mitt Namn upphöjdt varda.
And faithfulness my and covenant loyalty my [will be] with him and in name my it will be exalted horn his.
25 Jag skall sätta hans hand uti hafvet, och hans högra hand uti älfverna.
And I will set on the sea hand his and on the rivers right [hand] his.
26 Han skall kalla mig alltså: Du äst min fader, min Gud och tröst, den mig hjelper.
He he will call out to me [are] father my you God my and [the] rock of salvation my.
27 Och jag skall göra honom till första sonen, den aldrahögsta ibland Konungarna på jordene.
Also I firstborn I will make him most high to [the] kings of [the] earth.
28 Jag vill behålla honom mina nåd evinnerliga, och mitt förbund skall honom fast blifva.
For ever (I will keep *Q(k)*) to him covenant loyalty my and covenant my [will be] reliable to him.
29 Jag skall gifva honom en evig säd, och hans stol uppehålla, så länge himmelen varar.
And I will establish for ever offspring his and throne his like [the] days of [the] heavens.
30 Men om hans barn min lag öfvergifva, och i minom rättom icke vandra;
If they will forsake sons his law my and in judgments my not they will walk!
31 Om de mina stadgar ohelga, och min bud icke hålla;
If statutes my they will violate and commandments my not they will keep.
32 Så vill jag hemsöka deras synd med ris, och deras missgerningar med plågor.
And I will punish with a rod transgression their and with plagues iniquity their.
33 Men mina nåd vill jag icke vända ifrå honom, och icke låta mina sanning fela.
And covenant loyalty my not I will break off from with him and not I will deal falsely with faithfulness my.
34 Jag vill icke ohelga mitt förbund, och icke ogildt göra hvad af minom mun utgånget är.
Not I will violate covenant my and [the] utterance of lips my not I will change.
35 Jag hafver en gång svorit vid mina helighet: Jag vill icke ljuga for David;
One [time] I have sworn an oath by holiness my if to David I will lie.
36 Hans säd skall evig vara, och hans stol för mig såsom solen.
Offspring his for ever it will be and throne his like the sun before me.
37 Såsom månen skall han evinnerliga vid magt hållen varda, och såsom de vittne i skyn viss vara. (Sela)
Like [the] moon it will be established forever and a witness in the cloud[s] [will be] reliable (Selah)
38 Men nu bortdrifver du och förkastar, och vredgas med dinom smorda.
And you you have spurned and you have rejected you have been furious with anointed your.
39 Du bryter dins tjenares förbund, och trampar hans krono neder på jordena.
You have repudiated [the] covenant of servant your you have profaned to the ground crown his.
40 Du nederrifver alla hans murar, och låter hans fäste afbrytas.
You have broken through all walls his you have made strongholds his a ruin.
41 Honom beröfva alle de der framom gå; han är sinom grannom ett gabberi vorden.
They have plundered him all [those who] pass by of [the] road he has become a reproach to neighbors his.
42 Du upphöjer hans ovänners högra hand, och gläder alla hans fiendar.
You have exalted [the] right [hand] of opponents his you have made to rejoice all enemies his.
43 Ock hafver du hans svärds kraft borttagit, och låter honom ingen seger vinna i stridene.
Also you turn back [the] flint of sword his and not you have raised up him in battle.
44 Du förstörer hans renhet, och kastar hans stol till jordena.
You have made cease from luster his and throne his to the ground you have thrown.
45 Du förkortar hans ungdoms tid, och betäcker honom med blygd. (Sela)
You have made short [the] days of youth his you have wrapped on him shame (Selah)
46 Herre, huru länge vill du dig så allstinges fördölja; och låta dina grymhet brinna såsom en eld?
Until when? O Yahweh will you hide yourself? to perpetuity will it burn? like a fire anger your.
47 Tänk huru stackot mitt lif är; hvi vill du alla menniskor fåfängt skapat hafva?
Remember I what? [is] lifespan concerning what? emptiness have you created all [the] children of humankind.
48 Hvilken är den der lefver, och intet ser döden; den sina själ friar utu helvetes hand? (Sela) (Sheol h7585)
Who? [is the] man [who] he will live and not he will see death [who] he will deliver life his from [the] hand of Sheol (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
49 Herre, hvar är den förra din nåd, den du David i dine sanning svorit hafver?
Where? - [are] covenant loyalti your former - O Lord [which] you swore an oath to David in faithfulness your.
50 Tänk, Herre, på dina tjenares försmädelse, den jag bär i mitt sköt, af allom så mångom folkom;
Remember O Lord [the] reproach of servants your bearing my in bosom my all many peoples.
51 Dermed, Herre, dine fiender dig försmäda; der de med försmäda, och med fötterna trampa på din smorda.
Which they have reproached enemies your - O Yahweh which they have reproached [the] footprints of anointed your.
52 Lofvad vare Herren evinnerliga. Amen, Amen.
[be] blessed Yahweh for ever amen - and amen.
