Psaltaren 68
1 En Psalmvisa Davids, till att föresjunga. Gud stånde upp, att hans fiender måga förströdde varda, och de honom hata, fly för honom.
To the chief Musician. Of David. A Psalm: a Song. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, and let them that hate him flee before him.
2 Fördrif dem, såsom en rök fördrifven varder; såsom vax försmälter för eld, så förgånge de ogudaktige för Gudi.
As smoke is driven, thou wilt drive them away; as wax melteth before the fire, the wicked shall perish at the presence of God.
3 Men de rättfärdige fröjde sig, och vare glade för Gudi, och fröjde sig af hjertat.
But the righteous shall rejoice: they shall exult before God and be glad with joy.
4 Sjunger Gudi, lofsjunger hans Namne; görer honom väg, som sakta framfar; han heter Herren; och glädjens för honom.
Sing unto God, sing forth his name; cast up a way for him that rideth in the deserts: his name is Jah; and rejoice before him.
5 Den en fader är åt faderlösa, och en domare för enkom; han är Gud i sin helga boning;
A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
6 En Gud, som dem ensammom gifver huset fullt med barn; den der fångar utförer i rättom tid, och låter de affälliga blifva i det torra.
God maketh the solitary into families; those that were bound he bringeth out into prosperity: but the rebellious dwell in a parched [land].
7 Gud, då du utdrogst för ditt folk, då du gick i öknene; (Sela)
O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness (Selah)
8 Då bäfvade jorden, och himlarna dröpo för denna Guden i Sinai; för Gudi, som Israels Gud är.
The earth trembled, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God, yon Sinai, at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
9 Men nu gifver du, Gud, ett nådeligit regn; och ditt arf, det torrt är, vederqvicker du;
Thou, O God, didst pour a plentiful rain upon thine inheritance, and when it was weary thou strengthenedst it.
10 Att din djur måga bo deruti. Gud, du vederqvicker de elända med dine godhet.
Thy flock hath dwelt therein: thou hast prepared in thy goodness, for the afflicted, O God!
11 Herren gifver ordet, med en stor Evangelisters skara.
The Lord gives the word: great the host of the publishers.
12 Konungarna för härarna äro med hvarannan vänner, och husäran utskifter rofvet.
Kings of armies flee; they flee, and she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil.
13 När I liggen i markene, så glimmar det såsom dufvovingar, hvilke såsom silfver och guld glittra.
Though ye have lain among the sheepfolds, [ye shall be as] wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with green gold.
14 När den Allsmägtige allestäds ibland dem Konungar sätter, så varder klart, der mörkt är.
When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it became snow-white as Zalmon.
15 Guds berg är ett fruktsamt berg, ett stort och fruktsamt berg.
[As] mount Bashan is the mount of God, a many-peaked mountain, [as] mount Bashan.
16 Hvi springen I, stor berg? Gud hafver lust till att bo på detta berget, och Herren blifver der ock evinnerliga.
Why do ye look with envy, ye many-peaked mountains, upon the mount that God hath desired for his abode? yea, Jehovah will dwell [there] for ever.
17 Guds vagn är mång tusende tusend. Herren är ibland dem på det helga Sinai.
The chariots of God are twenty thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them: it is a Sinai in holiness.
18 Du hafver farit upp i höjdena, och hafver fångat fängelset; du hafver undfått gåfvor för menniskorna; de affällige ock, att Herren Gud skall ändå likväl blifva der.
Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts in Man, and even [for] the rebellious, for the dwelling [there] of Jah Elohim.
19 Lofvad vare Herren dagliga. Gud lägger oss ena bördo uppå; men han hjelper oss ock. (Sela)
Blessed be the Lord: day by day doth he load us [with good], the God who is our salvation. (Selah)
20 Vi hafve en Gud, en Gud, den der hjelper, och Herran, Herran, den ifrå döden frälsar.
Our God is the God of salvation; and with Jehovah, the Lord, are the goings forth [even] from death.
21 Men Gud skall sönderslå hufvudet på sina fiendar, samt med deras hjessa, som blifva i deras synder.
Verily God will smite the head of his enemies, the hairy scalp of him that goeth on still in his trespasses.
22 Dock säger Herren: Jag vill hemta somliga ibland de feta; utu hafsens djup vill jag somliga hemta.
The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring [them] again from the depth of the sea;
23 Derföre skall din fot uti fiendernas blod färgad varda, och dine hundar skola det slicka.
That thou mayest dip thy foot in blood: the tongue of thy dogs has its portion from enemies.
24 Man ser, Gud, huru du går; huru du, min Gud och Konung, i helgedomenom går.
They have seen thy goings, O God, the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.
25 De sångare gå framföre, der näst de spelmän, ibland pigor som slå på trummor.
The singers went before, the players on stringed instruments after, in the midst of maidens playing on tabrets.
26 Lofver Herran Gud i församlingomen, för Israels brunn.
In the congregations bless ye God, the Lord, — [ye] from the fountain of Israel.
27 Der är rådandes ibland dem den litsle BenJamin, Juda Förstar, med deras hopar, Sebulons Förstar, Naphthali Förstar.
There is little Benjamin, their ruler; the princes of Judah, their company; the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.
28 Din Gud hafver upprättat ditt rike, det stärk, Gud, i oss; ty det är ditt verk.
Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.
29 För ditt tempels skull i Jerusalem, skola Konungar föra dig skänker.
Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.
30 Straffa djuret i rören, oxahoparna ibland deras kalfvar, de der drifva för penningars skull. Han förströr de folk, som gerna örliga.
Rebuke the beast of the reeds, the assembly of the strong, with the calves of the peoples: [every one] submitteth himself with pieces of silver. Scatter the peoples that delight in war.
31 De Förstar utur Egypten skola komma; Ethiopien skall utsträcka sina händer till Gud.
Great ones shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall quickly stretch out her hands unto God.
32 I Konungariken på jordene, sjunger Gudi; lofsjunger Herranom. (Sela)
Ye kingdoms of the earth, sing unto God; sing psalms of the Lord, (Selah)
33 Den der vistas i himmelen, allestädes af begynnelsen; si, han skall gifva sino dundre kraft.
Of him that rideth upon the heavens, the heavens which are of old: lo, he uttereth his voice, a mighty voice.
34 Gifver Gudi magten; hans härlighet är i Israel, och hans magt i skyn.
Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.
35 Gud är underlig i sinom helgedom; han är Israels Gud, han skall gifva folkena magt och kraft. Lofvad vare Gud.
Terrible art thou, O God, out of thy sanctuaries, — the God of Israel! He it is that giveth strength and might unto the people. Blessed be God!
