Psaltaren 33
1 Fröjder eder af Herranom, I rättfärdige; de fromme skola prise honom härliga.
Shout for joy O righteous [people] in Yahweh for upright [people] [is] fitting praise.
2 Tacker Herranom med harpor; och lofsjunger honom på psaltare af tio stränger.
Give thanks to Yahweh with harp with lyre of ten make music to him.
3 Sjunger honom en ny viso; sjunger väl på strängaspel med klingande ljud.
Sing to him a song new do well to play with a shout of joy.
4 Ty Herrans ord är sannfärdigt; och hvad han lofvar, det håller han visserliga.
For [is] upright [the] word of Yahweh and all work his [is] in faithfulness.
5 Han älskar rättfärdighet och dom; jorden är full af Herrans godhet.
[he is] loving Righteousness and justice [the] covenant loyalty of Yahweh it is full the earth.
6 Himmelen är gjord genom Herrans ord, och all hans här genom hans muns anda.
By [the] word of Yahweh [the] heavens they were made and by [the] breath of mouth his all host their.
7 Han håller vattnet i hafvet tillsammans, såsom uti en lägel; och lägger djupen i det fördolda.
[he is] gathering Like heap [the] waters of the sea [he is] putting in storehouses [the] deeps.
8 All verlden frukte Herran; honom rädes allt det som på jordene bor.
Let them fear from Yahweh all the earth from him let them be afraid all [the] inhabitants of [the] world.
9 Ty om han säger, så sker det; om han bjuder, så är det gjordt.
For he he spoke and it was he he commanded and it stood forth.
10 Herren gör Hedningarnas råd omintet, och vänder folks tankar.
Yahweh he makes ineffectual [the] counsel of nations he frustrates [the] plans of peoples.
11 Men Herrans råd blifver evinnerliga; hans hjertas tankar i evighet.
[the] counsel of Yahweh for ever it stands [the] plans of heart his to a generation and a generation.
12 Saligt är det folk, hvilkets Gud Herren är; det folk, som han till ett arf utkorat hafver.
How blessed! [is] the nation which Yahweh [is] God its the people - [which] he has chosen to an inheritance for himself.
13 Herren skådar neder af himmelen, och ser all menniskors barn.
From [the] heavens he looks Yahweh he sees all [the] children of humankind.
14 Utaf sinom fasta stol ser han uppå alla de som på jordene bo.
From [the] place of dwelling his he looks to all [the] inhabitants of the earth.
15 Han böjer allas deras hjerta; han aktar uppå alla deras gerningar.
The [one who] forms together heart their the [one who] attends to all deeds their.
16 Enom Konung hjelper intet hans stora magt; enom kämpa varder icke hulpet genom hans stora kraft.
Not king [is] saved by greatness of army a warrior not he is delivered by greatness of strength.
17 Hästar hjelpa ock intet, och deras stora starkhet frälsar intet.
[is] a vain hope Horse for victory and by [the] greatness of strength its not it delivers.
18 Si, Herrans öga ser uppå dem som frukta honom; de som uppå hans godhet trösta;
Here! [the] eye of Yahweh [is] to [those] fearing him to [those who] hope for covenant loyalty his.
19 Att han skall fria deras själ ifrå dödenom, och föda dem i hårdom tid.
To deliver from death life their and to preserve alive them in famine.
20 Vår själ väntar efter Herranom; han är vår hjelp och sköld.
Self our it waits for Yahweh [is] help our and shield our he.
21 Ty vårt hjerta gläder sig af honom, och vi hoppes på hans helga Namn.
For in him it rejoices heart our for in [the] name of holiness his we trust.
22 Din godhet, Herre, vare öfver oss, såsom vi på dig förtröste.
May it be covenant loyalty your O Yahweh toward us just as we hope for you.
