1 Tacker Herranom, ty han är mild, och hans godhet varar evinnerliga.
O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; For his kindness endureth for ever!
2 Nu säge Israel: Hans godhet varar evinnerliga.
Let Israel now say, His kindness endureth for ever!
3 Nu säge Aarons hus: Hans godhet varar evinnerliga.
Let the house of Aaron now say, His goodness endureth for ever!
4 Nu säge de som Herran frukta: Hans godhet varar evinnerliga.
Let all who fear the LORD say, His kindness endureth for ever!
5 Uti ångest åkallade jag Herran; och Herren bönhörde mig, och tröste mig.
I called upon the LORD in distress; He heard, and set me in a wide place.
6 Herren är med mig, derföre fruktar jag mig intet; hvad kunna menniskor göra mig?
The LORD is on my side, I will not fear: What can man do to me?
7 Herren är med mig, till att hjelpa mig; och jag vill lust se på mina fiendar.
The LORD is my helper; I shall see my desire upon my enemies.
8 Det är godt att förtrösta på Herran, och icke förlåta sig på menniskor.
It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man;
9 Det är godt att förtrösta uppå Herran, och icke förlåta sig på Förstar.
It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in princes.
10 Alle Hedningar belägga mig; men i Herrans Namn vill jag förgöra dem.
All the nations beset me around, But in the name of the LORD I destroyed them.
11 De kringhvärfva mig på alla sidor; men i Herrans Namn vill jag nederlägga dem.
They beset me on every side; But in the name of the LORD I destroyed them.
12 De omlägga mig såsom bi, de släcka såsom eld i törne; men i Herrans Namn vill jag förgöra dem.
They beset me around like bees; They were quenched like the fire of thorns, For in the name of the LORD I destroyed them.
13 Man stöter mig, att jag falla skall; men Herren hjelper mig.
Thou didst assail me with violence to bring me down! But the LORD was my support.
14 Herren är min magt, och min psalm; och är min salighet.
The LORD is my glory and my song; For to him I owe my salvation.
15 Man sjunger med glädje om seger uti de rättfärdigas hyddom; Herrans högra hand behåller segren.
The voice of joy and salvation is in the habitations of the righteous: “The right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly;
16 Herrans högra hand är upphöjd; Herrans högra hand behåller segren.
The right hand of the LORD is exalted; The right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.”
17 Jag skall icke dö, utan lefva, och förkunna Herrans gerningar.
I shall not die, but live, And declare the deeds of the LORD.
18 Herren näpser mig väl; men han gifver mig icke dödenom.
The LORD hath sorely chastened me, But he hath not given me over to death.
19 Upplåter mig rättfärdighetenes portar, att jag må der ingå, och tacka Herranom.
Open to me the gates of righteousness, That I may go in, and praise the LORD!
20 Det är Herrans port, de rättfärdige skola der ingå.
This is the gate of the LORD, Through which the righteous enter.
21 Jag tackar dig, att du näpste mig, och halp mig.
I praise thee that thou hast heard me, And hast been my salvation.
22 Den stenen, som byggningsmännerna förkastade, är till en hörnsten vorden.
“The stone which the builders rejected Hath become the chief corner-stone.
23 Det är skedt af Herranom, och är ett under för vår ögon.
This is the LORD'S doing; It is marvellous in our eyes!
24 Detta är den dagen, den Herren gör; låt oss på honom fröjdas och glädjas.
This is the day which the LORD hath made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
25 O! Herre, hjelp; o! Herre, låt väl gå.
Hear, O LORD! and bless us! Hear, O LORD! and send us prosperity!”
26 Lofvad vare den som kommer i Herrans Namn; vi välsigne eder, som af Herrans hus ären.
“Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD! We bless you from the house of the LORD.”
27 Herren är Gud, den oss upplyser; pryder högtidena med löf, allt intill hornen på altaret.
“Jehovah is God, he hath shone upon us: Bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar!”
28 Du äst min Gud, och jag tackar dig; min Gud, jag vill prisa dig.
Thou art my God, and I will praise thee; Thou art my God, and I will exalt thee!
