1 Icke oss, Herre, icke oss, utan dino Namne, gif ärona, för dina nåde och sannings skull.
Not to us, YHWH, not to us, but to your name be the glory, for your loving kindness and for your faithfulness.
2 Hvi skulle Hedningarna säga: Hvar är nu deras Gud?
Why should the nations say, "Where is their God, now?"
3 Men vår Gud är i himmelen; han kan göra hvad han vill.
But our God is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases.
4 Men deras afgudar äro silfver och guld, med menniskors händer gjorde.
Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
5 De hafva mun, och tala intet; de hafva ögon, och se intet.
They have mouths, but they do not speak. They have eyes, but they do not see.
6 De hafva öron, och höra intet; de hafva näso, och lukta intet.
They have ears, but they do not hear. They have noses, but they do not smell.
7 De hafva händer, och taga intet; fötter hafva de, och gå intet; och tala intet genom deras hals.
They have hands, but they do not feel. They have feet, but they do not walk, neither do they speak through their throat.
8 De som sådana göra, äro likaså, alle de som hoppas uppå dem.
Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them.
9 Men Israel hoppes uppå Herran; han är deras hjelp och sköld.
Israel, trust in YHWH. He is their help and their shield.
10 Aarons hus hoppes uppå Herran; han är deras hjelp och sköld.
House of Aaron, trust in YHWH. He is their help and their shield.
11 De der Herran frukta, hoppes ock uppå Herran; han är deras hjelp och sköld.
You who fear YHWH, trust in YHWH. He is their help and their shield.
12 Herren tänker uppå oss, och välsignar oss; han välsignar Israels hus, han välsignar Aarons hus.
YHWH remembers us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron.
13 Han välsignar dem som frukta Herran, både små och stora.
He will bless those who fear YHWH, both small and great.
14 Herren välsigne eder, ju mer och mer, eder och edor barn.
May YHWH increase you more and more, you and your children.
15 I ären Herrans välsignade, den himmel och jord gjort hafver.
Blessed are you by YHWH, who made heaven and earth.
16 Himmelen allt omkring är Herrans; men jordena hafver han gifvit menniskors barnom.
The heavens are the heavens of YHWH; but the earth has he given to the descendants of Adam.
17 De döde kunna dig, Herre, intet lofva; ej heller de som nederfara i det stilla;
The dead do not praise JAH, neither any who go down into silence;
18 Utan vi lofve Herran, ifrå nu och i evighet. Halleluja.
But we will bless JAH, from this time forth and forevermore. Praise JAH.
