1 En Psalmvisa Davids. Gud, det är mitt rätta allvar, jag vill sjunga. och lofva; min ära också.
A song or Psalme of David. O God, mine heart is prepared, so is my tongue: I will sing and giue praise.
2 Vaka upp, psaltare och harpa, jag vill bittida uppe vara.
Awake viole and harpe: I will awake early.
3 Jag vill tacka dig, Herre, ibland folken; jag vill lofsjunga dig ibland menniskorna;
I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people, and I wil sing vnto thee among the nations.
4 Ty din nåd räcker så vidt som himmelen är; och din sanning så vidt som skyarna gå.
For thy mercy is great aboue the heauens, and thy trueth vnto the clouds.
5 Upphöj dig, Gud, öfver himmelen, och din äro öfver all land;
Exalt thy self, O God, aboue the heauens, and let thy glorie be vpon all the earth,
6 På det dine älskelige vänner måga förlossade varda; hjelp med dina högra hand, och bönhör mig.
That thy beloued may be deliuered: helpe with thy right hand and heare me.
7 Gud talar i sinom helgedom, dess gläder jag mig; och vill skifta Sichem, och afmäta den dalen Succoth.
God hath spoken in his holinesse: therefore I will reioyce, I shall deuide Shechem and measure the valley of Succoth.
8 Gilead är min, Manasse är ock min, och Ephraim är mins hufvuds magt. Juda är min Förste.
Gilead shalbe mine, and Manasseh shalbe mine: Ephraim also shalbe the strength of mine head: Iuda is my lawgiuer.
9 Moab är mitt tvättekar; jag vill sträcka mina skor öfver Edom; öfver de Philisteer vill jag fröjdas.
Moab shalbe my washpot: ouer Edom wil I cast out my shoe: vpon Palestina wil I triumph.
10 Ho vill föra mig uti en fast stad? Ho vill leda mig intill Edom?
Who will leade mee into the strong citie? who will bring me vnto Edom?
11 Skall icke du göra det, Gud, som oss förkastat hafver, och drager icke ut, Gud, med vårom här?
Wilt not thou, O God, which haddest forsaken vs, and diddest not goe foorth, O God, with our armies?
12 Skaffa oss bistånd i nödene; ty menniskos hjelp är fåfängelig.
Giue vs helpe against trouble: for vaine is the helpe of man.
13 I Gudi vilje vi bevisa manlig verk; han skall underträda våra fiendar.
Through God we shall doe valiantly: for he shall treade downe our enemies.
