4 Mosebok 8

1 Och Herren talade med Mose, och sade:

And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

2 Tala med Aaron, och säg till honom: När du uppsätter lamporna, skall du så sätta dem, att de alla sju lysa framföre ljusastakan.

Speake vnto Aaron, and say vnto him, When thou lightest the lampes, the seuen lampes shall giue light towarde the forefront of the Candlesticke.

3 Och Aaron gjorde så, och satte lamporna upp till att lysa framföre ljusastakan; såsom Herren hade budit Mose.

And Aaron did so, lighting the lampes thereof towarde ye forefront of the Candlesticke, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

4 Men ljusastaken var af tätt guld, både hans lägg och hans blommor; efter den eftersyn, som Herren hade vist Mose, så gjorde han ljusastakan.

And this was the worke of the Candlesticke, euen of golde beaten out with the hammer, both the shafte, and the flowres thereof was beaten out with the hammer: according to the paterne, which the Lord had shewed Moses, so made he the Candlesticke.

5 Och Herren talade med Mose, och sade:

And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

6 Tag Leviterna utur Israels barn, och rena dem.

Take the Leuites from among the children of Israel, and purifie them.

7 Och alltså skall du göra med dem, att du dem renar: Du skall stänka skärvatten på dem, och allt slätt afraka allt deras hår, och två deras kläder, så äro de rene.

And thus shalt thou doe vnto them, when thou purifiest them, Sprinckle water of purification vpon them, and let them shaue all their flesh, and wash their clothes: so they shalbe cleane.

8 Sedan skola de taga en ung stut, och hans spisoffer, semlomjöl, blandadt med oljo; och en annan ung stut skall du taga till syndoffer;

Then they shall take a yong bullocke with his meate offring of fine floure, mingled with oyle, and another yong bullocke shalt thou take for a sinne offring.

9 Och skall hafva Leviterna in för dörrena af vittnesbördsens tabernakel, och församla hela menighetena af Israels barn;

Then thou shalt bring the Leuites before the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and asseble all the Congregation of the children of Israel.

10 Och hafva Leviterna fram för Herran; och Israels barn skola lägga sina händer på Leviterna.

Thou shalt bring the Leuites also before the Lord, and the children of Israel shall put their handes vpon the Leuites.

11 Och Aaron skall veftoffra Leviterna för Herranom utaf Israels barn, att de tjena skola i Herrans ämbete.

And Aaron shall offer the Leuites before the Lord, as a shake offring of ye childre of Israel, that they may execute the seruice of the Lord.

12 Och Leviterna skola lägga sina händer på stutarnas hufvud; och den ene skall Herranom till ett syndoffer, och den andre till ett bränneoffer gjord varda, till att försona Leviterna.

And the Leuites shall put their handes vpon the heades of the bullockes, and make thou the one a sinne offring, and the other a burnt offring vnto the Lord, that thou mayest make an atonement for the Leuites.

13 Och du skall ställa Leviterna inför Aaron och hans söner, och veftoffra dem Herranom;

And thou shalt set the Leuites before Aaron and before his sonnes, and offer the as a shake offring to the Lord.

14 Och skall således afskilja dem ifrån Israels barn, att de skola vara mine.

Thus thou shalt separate the Leuites from among the children of Israel, and the Leuites shall be mine.

15 Sedan skola de ingå till att tjena ut i vittnesbördsens tabernakel. Alltså skall du rena och veftoffra dem;

And afterwarde shall the Leuites goe in, to serue in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and thou shalt purifie them and offer them, as a shake offering.

16 Ty de äro min gåfva utaf Israels barn; och jag hafver tagit dem till mig för allt det som öppnar moderlif, nämliga för förstfödingen i all Israels barn.

For they are freely giuen vnto me from among the children of Israel, for such as open any wombe: for all the first borne of the children of Israel haue I taken them vnto me.

17 Förty all förstföding i Israels barn är min, både af menniskor och af fänad; den tid jag slog all förstföding i Egypti land, helgade jag dem mig;

For all the first borne of the children of Israel are mine, both of man and of beast: since the day that I smote euery first borne in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them for my selfe.

18 Och tog Leviterna mig till för all förstföding ibland Israels barn;

And I haue taken the Leuites for all the first borne of the children of Israel,

19 Och gaf dem Aaron och hans söner för en gåfvo utur Israels barn, att de tjena skola i Israels barnas ämbete uti vittnesbördsens tabernakel, till att försona Israels barn; på det att ibland Israels barn icke skall komma en plåga, om de ville nalkas helgedomen.

And haue giuen the Leuites as a gift vnto Aaron, and to his sonnes from among the children of Israel, to do the seruice of the children of Israel in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel, that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come neere vnto the Sanctuarie.

20 Och Mose, med Aaron och hela menigheten af Israels barn, gjorde med Leviterna allt såsom Herren Mose budit hade.

Then Moses and Aaron and all the Cogregation of the children of Israel did with the Leuites, according vnto all that the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Leuites: so did the children of Israel vnto them.

21 Och Leviterna renade sig, och tvådde sin kläder; och Aaron veftoffrade dem för Herranom, och försonade dem, att de vordo rene.

So the Leuites were purified, and washed their clothes, and Aaron offred them as a shake offring before the Lord, and Aaron made an atonement for them, to purifie them.

22 Sedan gingo de in att göra sitt ämbete uti vittnesbördsens tabernakel, för Aaron och hans söner. Såsom Herren hade budit Mose om Leviterna, så gjorde de med dem.

And after that, went the Leuites in to doe their seruice in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, before Aaron and before his sonnes: as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Leuites, so they did vnto them.

23 Och Herren talade med Mose, och sade:

And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

24 Detta är det Leviterna bör: Ifrå fem och tjugu år, och derutöfver, doga de till ämbete och tjenst i vittnesbördsens tabernakel.

This also belongeth to the Leuites: from fiue and twentie yeere olde and vpwarde, they shall goe in, to execute their office in the seruice of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

25 Men ifrå femtionde året skola de vara löse ifrå tjenstenes ämbete, och skola icke mera tjena;

And after the age of fiftie yeere, they shall cease from executing the office, and shall serue no more:

26 Utan taga vara på deras bröders tjenst uti vittnesbördsens tabernakel; men ämbetet skola de icke sköta. Alltså skall du göra med Leviterna, att hvar och en tager vara på sina vakt.

But they shall minister with their brethre in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, to keepe things committed to their charge, but they shall doe no seruice: thus shalt thou doe vnto the Leuites touching their charges.
