Mika 3
1 Och jag sade: Hörer dock, I höfvitsmän i Jacobs hus, och I Förstar i Israels hus; I skullen med rätto vara de som veta hvad rätt är;
And I said, Hear, I pray you, O ye heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel! Is it not for you to know what is justice?
2 Men I haten det goda, och älsken det onda; I skinnen dem hudena af, och köttet ifrå deras ben;
[But they are those] who hate the good, and love the evil; who tear their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;
3 Och äten mins folks kött och när I hafven dragit dem hudena af, så slån I dem ock benen sönder, och stycken det ifrå hvartannat; lika som uti ena gry to, och lika som kött uti en kettil.
Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and who crush their bones, and chop them in pieces, as that to be put in a pot, and as flesh within a caldron.
4 Derföre, när I nu till Herran ropande varden, så skall han intet vilja höra eder utan skall fördölja sitt ansigte för eder på den samma tiden, såsom I med edro onda väsende förtjent hafven.
Then will they cry unto the Lord, but he will not hear them; and he will hide his face from them at that time, as they have committed their evil deeds.
5 Detta säger Herren, emot de Propheter som förföra mitt folk: De predika, att det skall gå väl, när man gifver dem äta; men om man intet gifver dem i munnen, sa predika de, att ett örlig skall komma.
Thus hath said the Lord concerning the prophets that mislead my people, who, when they have something to bite with their teeth, cry, Peace; but who prepare war against him who putteth nothing in their mouth:
6 Derföre skall edor syn varda till en natt, och edar spådom till ett mörker; solen skall nedergå öfver Propheterna, och dagen öfver dem mörk varda.
Therefore shall the night be unto you, without a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, without divining; and the sun shall go down around the prophets, and the day shall be obscured around them.
7 Och Siarena skola till skam varda, och spåmännerna till spott; och måste allesamman skyla sig om munnen, efter der är intet Guds ord.
Thus shall the seers be made ashamed, and the diviners be put to the blush: yea, they shall all wrap themselves up to the upper lip; for there is no answer of God.
8 Men jag är full med kraft och Herrans Anda; full med rätt och starkhet, att jag förkunna tör Jacob sin öfverträdelse, och Israel sina synd.
But truly I am indeed full of strength by the spirit of the Lord, and [of power] of judging, and of might, to tell unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
9 Så hörer dock detta, I höfvitsmän i Jacobs hus, och I Förstar i Israels hus, I som styggens vid rätten, och förvänden allt det redeligit är;
Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel, that abhor justice, and make crooked all that is straight.
10 I som uppbyggen Zion med blod, och Jerusalem med orätt.
They build up Zion with blood-guiltiness, and Jerusalem with wrong.
11 Hans höfdingar döma för skänker, hans Prester lära för lön, och hans Propheter prophetera för penningar, förlåta sig uppå Herran, och säga: Är icke Herren ibland oss? Oss kan ingen olycka uppåkomma.
Her heads judge for bribes, and her priests teach for reward, and her prophets divine for money: and yet will they lean upon the Lord, and say, Is not the Lord among us? evil cannot come over us.
12 Derföre skall Zion för edra skull upplöjd varda såsom en åkermark, och Jerusalem varda till en stenhop, och templets berg till en skogsbacka.
Therefore for your sake shall Zion be ploughed up as a field, and Jerusalem shall become ruinous heaps, and the mount of the house, forest-covered high-places.
