Markus 15
1 Och straxt om morgonen höllo de öfverste Presterna råd, med de äldsta och Skriftlärda, och med hela Rådet; och bundo Jesum, och ledde honom bort, och antvardade honom Pilato.
AND immediately the chief priests having held a council in the morning, with the elders, and scribes, and the whole sanhedrim, after binding Jesus, led him away, and delivered him up to Pilate.
2 Och Pilatus frågade honom: Äst du den Judarnas Konung? Då svarade han, och sade till honom: Du säger det.
And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? He answering said to him, Thou sayest true.
3 Och öfverste Presterna anklagade honom om mång ting.
And the chief priests laid many accusations against him.
4 Då frågade åter Pilatus honom, och sade: Svarar du intet? Si, huru mång stycke de vittna på dig.
Then Pilate again interrogated him, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they testify against thee.
5 Men Jesus svarade sedan platt intet; så att Pilatus förundrade sig.
But Jesus notwithstanding made not a word of reply; so that Pilate marvelled.
6 Så plägade han i Påskahögtidene gifva dem en fånga lös, hvilken de helst begärade.
Now at the feast, he released one prisoner to them, whomsoever they petitioned for.
7 Så var der en, benämnd Barabbas, som gripen var med somliga, de der ett upplopp gjort hade, och hade uti upploppet bedrifvit ett dråp.
And there was one called Barabbas, bound with those who had made an insurrection with him, and had committed murder in the insurrection.
8 Då ropade folket, och begynte bedja, att han skulle göra dem som hans plägsed alltid var.
And the multitude, clamorous, began to petition him to do, as he had always done to them.
9 Svarade Pilatus, sägandes: Viljen I, att jag skall eder lösgifva Judarnas Konung?
Then Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the king of the Jews?
10 Ty han visste, att de öfverste Presterna hade utaf afund öfverantvardat honom.
(For he knew that out of envy the chief priests had delivered him up.)
11 Men öfverste Presterna eggade folket, att han heldre skulle gifva dem Barabbam lös.
Then the chief priests stirred up the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.
12 Pilatus svarade åter, och sade till dem: Hvad viljen I då att jag skall göra honom, den I kallen Judarnas Konung?
Then Pilate addressing them, said unto them again, What therefore do you wish that I should do with him whom ye call the king of the Jews?
13 Då ropade de åter: Korsfäst honom.
And they cried out again, Crucify him.
14 Pilatus sade till dem: Hvad hafver han då illa gjort? Då ropade de ännu fastare: Korsfäst honom.
Then Pilate said unto them, But what criminal act hath he done? And they cried the more vociferously, Crucify him.
15 Så ville då Pilatus göra folkena fyllest, och gaf dem Barabbam lös; och öfverantvardade dem Jesum, att han skulle hudflängas och korsfästas.
So Pilate, willing to do what would be satisfactory to the people, released to them Barabbas, and delivered Jesus to be scourged, in order to be crucified.
16 Då hade krigsknektarna honom in uti Rådhuset, och kallade tillhopa hela skaran;
Then the soldiers led him to the hall, which is the Praetorium, and called together the whole band.
17 Och klädde honom uti ett purpurkläde, och vredo tillhopa ena krono af törne, och satte på honom;
And they invested him with a robe of purple, and platting a crown of thorns, put it about his head,
18 Och begynte till att helsa honom: Hel, Judarnas Konung;
and began to pay their salutations to him, Hail, King of the Jews!
19 Och slogo hans hufvud med en rö, och spottade på honom; föllo på knä, och tillbådo honom.
And they struck him on the head with a cane, and spat upon him, and bowing their knees payed him homage.
20 Och när de hade så begabbat honom, afklädde de honom purpurklädet, och klädde honom uti sin egen kläder; och ledde honom ut till att korsfästan.
And when they had treated him with mockery, they took off the purple robe from him, and clothed him with his own garments, and led him out to crucify him.
21 Då tvingade de en man, som der framgick, benämnd Simon af Cyrene, Alexandri och Rufi fader, den af markene inkom, att han måste bära hans kors.
And they compel one Simon, a Cyrenian, who was passing by, coming out of the field, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross.
22 Och de ledde honom på det rummet Golgatha; det är, om man det uttyder, hufvudskallaplatsen.
And they convey him to a place called Golgotha, which is being interpreted, The place of a skull.
23 Och de gåfvo honom bemyrrhadt vin dricka; men han tog det intet till sig.
And they gave him to drink wine medicated with myrrh: but he received it not.
24 Och när de hade korsfäst honom, bytte de hans kläder, kastande lott på dem, hvad hvar få skulle.
And having crucified him, they divided his garments, casting the lot upon them, what each should take.
25 Och det var vid tredje timman; och de korsfäste honom.
Now it was the third hour, and they crucified him.
26 Och det man skyllde honom före, var skrifvet öfver hans hufvud, nämliga: Judarnas Konung.
And there was an inscription of his crime written over him, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
27 Och de korsfäste med honom två röfvare, en på hans högra, och den andra på hans venstra sido.
And with him they crucified two robbers, one on his right hand, and the other on his left.
28 Och så blef Skriften fullbordad, som säger: Ibland ogerningsmän vardt han räknad.
And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, “And he was reckoned among the transgressors.”
29 Och de, som gingo der framom, hädde honom, och riste sin hufvud, och sade: Tvi dig! Skönliga slår du omkull templet, och i tre dagar uppbygger det.
And they who passed along, blasphemed him, shaking their heads, and saying, Aha! thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,
30 Fria dig sjelfvan, och stig neder af korset.
save thyself, and come down from the cross.
31 Sammalunda ock de öfverste Presterna gjorde spe af honom emellan sig, med de Skriftlärda, och sade: Androm hafver han hulpit, sig sjelfvom kan han icke hjelpa.
And in the same manner also, the chief priests mocking him, among each other, with the scribes, said, He saved others, himself he cannot save.
32 Christus, Israels Konung, stige nu neder af korset, att vi måtte det se, och tro. Och de der korsfäste voro med honom, försmädde honom ock.
Thou Messiah, King of Israel, come now down from the cross, that we may see, and believe. Even those who were crucified with him railed on him.
33 Och i sjette timman vardt ett mörker öfver allt landet, till nionde timman.
Now when the sixth hour came, there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.
34 Och i nionde timman ropade Jesus med höga röst, sägandes: Eloi, Eloi, Lamma Sabachthani? det är uttydt: Min Gud, min Gud, hvi hafver du öfvergifvit mig?
And at the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabacthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, for what cause hast thou abandoned me?
35 Och somlige, de der när stodo, och hörde det, sade: Si, Eliam kallar han.
And some of those who stood by, hearing him, said, Behold, he crieth for Elias.
36 Så lopp en till med en svamp, uppfylldan med ättiko; den satte han på en rö, och böd honom dricka, och sade: Håll, låt se, om Elias kommer, till att taga honom neder.
Then one ran, and filling a sponge with vinegar, fixed it round a cane, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone, let us see if Elias comes to take him down.
37 Då ropade Jesus med höga röst, och gaf upp andan.
Then Jesus, uttering a loud cry, gave up the ghost.
38 Och förlåten i templet remnade i tu stycke, ifrån öfverst och neder igenom.
And the vail of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom.
39 Då höfvitsmannen, som stod der när gentemot honom, såg att han med ett sådant rop gaf upp andan, sade han: Sannerliga var denne mannen Guds Son.
And the centurion, who stood opposite to him, observing, that with such a cry he gave up the ghost, said, Assuredly this was the Son of God.
40 Och voro ock qvinnor der, som långt ifrå detta skådade; ibland hvilka var Maria Magdalena, och Maria, litsle Jacobs och Jose moder, och Salome.
Now there were also women looking on at a distance; among whom also was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the small, and the mother of Joses, and Salome.
41 Hvilka ock, medan han var i Galileen, hade följt honom, och tjent honom; och många andra, som med honom uppfarit hade till Jerusalem.
These women followed him when he was in Galilee, and supplied his wants; and many other women who went up with him to Jerusalem.
42 Då aftonen kom, efter det var tillredelsedagen, den som går före Sabbathen,
And when the evening was now come (since it was the preparation, that is the day preceding the sabbath),
43 Kom Joseph, bördig af den staden Arimathia, en ärlig rådherre, den ock vänte efter Guds rike; han tog sig dristighet till, och gick in till Pilatum, och beddes af honom Jesu lekamen.
Joseph, who was from Arimathea, came, a respectable person, a counsellor, and who himself also was expecting the kingdom of God; taking courage, he went in to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
44 Då förundrade Pilatus, att han allaredo var död; och kallade till sig höfvitsmannen, och frågade, om han länge sedan död var.
Then Pilate marvelled that he should be already dead: and calling for the centurion, he asked him, If he had been dead any time.
45 Och då han det förnummit hade af höfvitsmannenom, gaf han Joseph lekamen.
And when he knew it from the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.
46 Och han köpte ett linkläde, och tog honom ned, och svepten uti linklädet, och lade honom ned uti ena graf, som uthuggen var uti ett hälleberg; och välte en sten för grafvenes dörr.
And having bought a wrapper of fine linen, and taken him down, he wrapped him in the linen cloth, and laid him in a sepulchre, which was hewn out of a rock; and rolled a stone to the door of the sepulchre.
47 Men Maria Magdalena och Maria Jose sågo till hvart han lades.
Now Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of Joses, saw where he was laid.
