3 Mosebok 20

1 Och Herren talade med Mose, och sade:

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Säg Israels barnom: Hvilken af Israels barn, eller en främling, som bor i Israel, gifver af sine säd Molech, han skall döden dö; folket i landena skall stena honom.

You shall also say to the children of Israel, If [there shall be] any of the children of Israel, or of those who have become proselytes in Israel, who shall give of his seed to Moloch, let him be surely put to death; the nation upon the land shall stone him with stones.

3 Och jag skall sätta mitt anlete emot sådana mennisko, och skall utrota honom utu hans folk; derföre, att han af sine säd gifvit hafver Molech, och orenat min helgedom, och ohelgat mitt helga Namn.

And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from his people, because he has given of his seed to Moloch, to defile my sanctuary, and profane the name of them that are consecrated to me.

4 Och om folket i landet se genom finger med de menniskone, som af sine säd hafver gifvit Molech, så att de icke dräpa honom;

And if the natives of the land should in anyway overlook that man in giving of his seed to Moloch, so as not to put him to death;

5 Så vill jag dock sätta mitt anlete emot den menniskon och emot hans slägt, och skall utrota honom, och alla de som efter honom med Molech hor bedrifvit hafva, utu deras folk.

then will I set my face against that man and his family, and I will destroy him, and all who have been of one mind with him, so that he should go a whoring to the princes, from their people.

6 Om en själ vänder sig till spåmän och tecknatydare, så att hon hor bedrifver efter dem; så vill jag sätta mitt anlete emot den samma själen, och vill utrota henne utu hennes folk.

And the soul that shall follow those who have in them divining spirits, or enchanters, so as to go a whoring after them; I will set my face against that soul, and will destroy it from amongst its people.

7 Derföre helger eder, och varer helige; ty jag är Herren edar Gud.

And you shall be holy, for I the Lord your God [am] holy.

8 Och håller mina stadgar, och görer dem; ty jag är Herren, den eder helgar.

And you shall observe my ordinances, and do them: I [am] the Lord that sanctifies you.

9 Den som bannar sin fader eller sina moder, han skall döden dö; hans blod vare öfver honom, att han sin fader eller moder bannat hafver.

Every man who shall speak evil of his father or of his mother, let him die the death; has he spoken evil of his father or his mother? he shall be guilty.

10 Den som hor bedrifver med någors mans hustru, den skall döden dö, både horkarlen och horkonan; derföre, att han med sins nästas hustru hor bedrifvit hafver.

Whatever man shall commit adultery with the wife of a man, or whoever shall commit adultery with the wife of his neighbour, let them die the death, the adulterer and the adulteress.

11 Om någor ligger när sins faders hustru, så att han sins faders blygd blottat hafver, de skola både döden dö; deras blod vare öfver dem.

And if any one should lie with his father's wife, he has uncovered his father's nakedness: let them both die the death, they are guilty.

12 Om någor ligger när sina sonahustru, så skola de både döden dö; förty de hafva gjort ena skam; deras blod vare öfver dem.

And if any one should lie with his daughter-in-law, let them both be put to death; for they have wrought impiety, they are guilty.

13 Om någor ligger när en dräng, såsom när ena qvinno, de hafva gjort en stygghet, och skola både döden dö; deras blod vare öfver dem.

And whoever shall lie with a male as with a woman, they have both wrought abomination; let them die the death, they are guilty.

14 Om någor tager en hustru, och hennes moder dertill, han hafver gjort en last; man skall bränna honom upp i elde, och de båda med, att ingen last blifver ibland eder.

Whosoever shall take a woman and her mother, it is iniquity: they shall burn him and them with fire; so there shall not be iniquity amongst you.

15 Om någor hafver skaffa med oskälig djur, han skall döden dö; och djuret skall man dräpa.

And whoever shall lie with a beast, let him die the death; and you shall kill the beast.

16 Om en qvinna låter sig in till något oskäligt djur, så att hon dermed hafver skaffa, den skall du dräpa, och djuret desslikes, Döden skola de dö; deras blod vare öfver dem.

And whatever woman shall approach any beast, so as to have connexion with it, you shall kill the woman and the beast: let them die the death, they are guilty.

17 Om någor tager sina syster, sins faders dotter, eller sine moders dotter, och skådar hennes blygd, och hon åter hans blygd, det är en skam; de skola förgöras inför deras slägtes folk; ty han hafver blottat sine systers blygd. Han skall bära sina skuld.

Whosoever shall take his sister by his father or by his mother, and shall see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness, it is a reproach: they shall be destroyed before the children of their family; he has uncovered his sister's nakedness, they shall bear their sin.

18 Om en man ligger när ena qvinno i hennes krankhets tid, och blottar hennes blygd, och upplåter hennes brunn, och hon blottar sins blods brunn; de skola både förgjorde varda utu deras folk.

And whatever man shall lie with a woman that is set apart [for a flux], and shall uncover her nakedness, he has uncovered her fountain, and she has uncovered the flux of her blood: they shall both be destroyed from amongst their generation.

19 Dine modersysters blygd, och dine fadersysters blygd skall du icke blotta; ty en sådana hafver sina nästa blodsfränko blottat; och de skola bära deras skuld.

And you shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's sister, or of the sister of your mother; for that man has uncovered the nakedness of one near akin: they shall bear their iniquity.

20 Om någor ligger när sins faderbroders hustru, den hafver sins faderbroders blygd blottat; de skola bära deras synd; utan barn skola de dö.

Whosoever shall lie with his near kinswoman, has uncovered the nakedness of one near akin to him: they shall die childless.

21 Om någor tager sins broders hustru, det är en skamlig gerning; de skola vara utan barn, derföre att han hafver sins broders blygd blottat.

Whoever shall take his brother's wife, it is uncleanness; he has uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall die childless.

22 Så håller nu alla mina stadgar och mina rätter, och görer dem, på det landet icke utspyr eder, der jag eder införer, att I deruti bo skolen.

And keep you all my ordinances, and my judgements; and you shall do them, and the land shall not be aggrieved with you, into which I bring you to dwell upon it.

23 Och vandrer icke uti Hedningarnas stadgar, hvilka jag skall utdrifva för eder; ty allt sådant hafva de gjort, och jag hafver haft en styggelse vid dem.

And walk you not in the customs of the nations which I drive out from before you; for they have done all these things, and I have abhorred them:

24 Men eder säger jag: I skolen besitta deras land; ty jag skall gifva eder ett land i arf, der mjölk och hannog uti flyter. Jag är Herren edar Gud, den eder afskiljt hafver ifrån annat folk;

and I said to you, You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you for a possession, [even] a land flowing with milk and honey: I [am] the Lord your God, who have separated you from all people.

25 Att I ock skilja skolen den rena boskapen ifrå den orena; och orena foglar ifrå de rena; och icke orena edra själar på boskap, och foglar, och på allt det på jordene kryper, det jag eder afskiljt hafver, att det skall vara orent.

And you shall make a distinction between the clean and the unclean cattle, and between clean and unclean birds; and you shall not defile your souls with cattle, or with birds, or with any creeping things of the earth, which I have separated for you by reason of uncleanness.

26 Derföre skolen I vara mig helige; ty jag Herren är helig, den eder afskiljt hafver ifrån annat folk, att I skolen höra mig till.

And you shall be holy to me; because I the Lord your God [am] holy, who separated you from all nations, to be mine.

27 Om någor man eller qvinna varda en spåman, eller en tecknatydare, de skola döden dö. Man skall stena dem; deras blod vare öfver dem.

And [as for] a man or woman whoever of them shall have in them a divining spirit, or be an enchanter, let them both die the death: you shall stone them with stones, they are guilty.
