Josua 18
1 Och hela menigheten af Israels barn församlade sig i Silo, och der uppsatte de vittnesbördsens tabernakel; och landet var dem undergifvet.
And all the congregation of the sons of Israel is assembled [at] Shiloh, and they cause the Tent of Meeting to dwell there, and the land has been subdued before them.
2 Och voro ännu sju slägter af Israels barn, hvilkom deras del icke utskift var.
And there are seven tribes left among the sons of Israel who have not shared their inheritance,
3 Och Josua sade till Israels barn: Huru länge viljen I vara så late, att I icke gån åstad, och tagen landet in, som Herren edra fäders Gud eder gifvit hafver?
and Joshua says to the sons of Israel, “Until when are you remiss to go in to possess the land which He, YHWH, God of your fathers, has given to you?
4 Tager eder af hvarjo slägtene tre män, att jag må sända dem, och de stå upp, och gå igenom landet, och beskrifva det efter deras arfvedelar, och komma till mig igen.
Give three men from you for [each] tribe, and I send them, and they rise and go up and down through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance, and come to me,
5 Skifter landet i sju delar: Juda skall blifva vid sina gränsor sunnanefter; och Josephs hus skall blifva vid sina gränsor nordanefter.
and they have divided it into seven portions—Judah stays by its border on the south, and the house of Joseph stays by their border on the north—
6 Men I, beskrifver de sju delars land, och bärer det hit till mig, så vill jag kasta eder lott för Herranom vårom Gud.
and you describe the land [in] seven portions, and have brought [it] to me here, and I have cast a lot for you here before our God YHWH;
7 Ty Leviterna hafva ingen del ibland eder, utan Herrans Presterskap är deras arfvedel; men Gad och Ruben, och den halfva slägten Manasse, hafva tagit sin del på hinsidon Jordan österut, den Mose Herrans tjenare dem gaf.
for there is no portion for the Levites in your midst, for the priesthood of YHWH [is] their inheritance, and Gad, and Reuben, and half of the tribe of Manasseh received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses, servant of YHWH, gave to them.”
8 Då stodo de män upp, och foro åstad; och Josua böd dem, då de gå ville till att beskrifva landet, och sade: Vandrer igenom landet, och beskrifver det, och kommer igen till mig, att jag må kasta eder lott för Herranom i Silo.
And the men rise and go; and Joshua commands those who are going to describe the land, saying, “Go, and walk up and down through the land, and describe it, and return to me, and here I cast a lot for you before YHWH in Shiloh.”
9 Så gingo männerna åstad, och drogo landet igenom, och beskrefvo det på en skrift efter städerna i sju delar; och kommo till Josua i lägret igen i Silo.
And the men go, and pass over through the land, and describe it by cities, in seven portions, on a scroll, and they come to Joshua, to the camp [at] Shiloh.
10 Då kastade Josua lotten öfver dem i Silo för Herranom, och skifte der landet ut ibland Israels barn, hvarjom och enom sin del.
And Joshua casts a lot for them in Shiloh before YHWH, and there Joshua apportions the land to the sons of Israel, according to their divisions.
11 Och föll BenJamins barnas slägtes lott efter deras ätter, och vardt deras lotts gränsa emellan Juda barn och Josephs barn.
And a lot goes up [for] the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, for their families; and the border of their lot goes out between the sons of Judah and the sons of Joseph.
12 Och deras gränsa var på sidone norrut ifrå Jordan, och går uppåt utmed Jericho på norra sidone, och kommer upp på berget vesterut; och utgången är vid den öknen BethAven;
And the border is for them at the north side from the Jordan, and the border has gone up to the side of Jericho on the north, and gone up through the hill-country westward, and its outgoings have been at the wilderness of Beth-Aven;
13 Och går dädan intill Lus, utmed sidone på Lus söderut, det är BethEl; och går nederåt intill AtharothAdar vid berget, som ligger sunnan vid det nedra BethHoron;
and the border has gone over there to Luz, to the side of Luz (it [is] Beth-El) southward, and the border has gone down [to] Atroth-Addar, by the hill that [is] on the south of the lower Beth-Horon;
14 Och går neder, och böjer sig omkring till vestra sidona söderut ifrå berget, som ligger för BethHoron söderut; och går ut vid KiriathBaal, det är KiriathJearim, Juda barnas stad. Detta är nu den sidan vesterut.
and the border has been marked out, and has gone around to the corner of the sea southward, from the hill which [is] at the front of Beth-Horon southward, and its outgoings have been to Kirjath-Ba‘al (it [is] Kirjath-Jearim), a city of the sons of Judah: this [is] the west quarter.
15 Men den sidan söderut är ifrå KiriathJearim, och går ut emot vester, och kommer ut till vattubrunnen Nephtoah:
And the south quarter [is] from the end of Kirjath-Jearim, and the border has gone out westward, and has gone out to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah;
16 Och går neder vid ändan på berget, som ligger för Hinnoms sons dal, den der ligger i Naphaims dal norrut, och går neder genom Hinnoms dal på de Jebuseers sido, sunnantill, och kommer neder vid den brunnen Rogel;
and the border has come down to the extremity of the hill which [is] on the front of the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, which [is] in the Valley of the Rephaim northward, and has gone down the Valley of Hinnom to the side of Jebusi southward, and gone down [to] En-Rogel,
17 Och drager sig ifrå nordan, och kommer ut till EnSemes, och kommer ut till de högar, som ligga uppe emot Adummim, och kommer ned till Bohens sten, Rubens sons;
and has been marked out on the north, and gone out to En-Shemesh, and gone out to Geliloth, which [is] opposite the ascent of Adummim, and gone down [to] the stone of Bohan son of Reuben,
18 Och går utmed sidone vid slättmarkena, som ligger norrut, och kommer neder på slättmarkena;
and passed over to the side in front of the Arabah northward, and gone down to Arabah;
19 Och drager utmed den sidone vid BethHogla, som ligger norrut, och änden deraf vid salthafsens tungo norrut, inpå Jordans södra ända. Detta är nu den södra gränsan.
and the border has passed over to the side of Beth-Hoglah northward, and the outgoings of the border have been to the north bay of the Salt Sea, to the south extremity of the Jordan; this [is] the south border;
20 Men till den östra sidan skall Jordan vara änden. Detta är nu BenJamins arfvedel i deras gränsor allt omkring, i deras ätter.
and the Jordan borders it at the east quarter; this [is] the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, by its borders all around, for their families.
21 Men städerna BenJamins barnas slägters, ibland deras ätter, äro desse: Jericho, BethHogla, EmekKeziz,
And the cities for the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, for their families, have been Jericho, and Beth-Hoglah, and the Valley of Keziz,
22 BethAraba, Zemaraim, BethEl,
and Beth-Arabah, Zemaraim, and Beth-El,
23 Avim, Para, Ophra,
and Avim, and Parah, and Ophrah,
24 CepharAmmonai, Ophni, Gaba. Det äro tolf städer, och deras byar.
and Chephar-Haammonai, and Ophni, and Gaba; twelve cities and their villages.
25 Gibeon, Rama, Beeroth,
Gibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,
26 Mizpe, Cephira, Moza,
and Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,
27 Rekem, Jirpeel, Thareala,
and Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah,
28 Zela, Eleph, och de Jebuseer, det är Jerusalem, Gibeath, Kiriath; fjorton städer, och deras byar. Detta är nu BenJamins barnas arfvedel i deras ätter.
and Zelah, Eleph, and Jebusi (it [is] Jerusalem), Gibeath, Kirjath; fourteen cities and their villages. This [is] the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, for their families.
