Jeremia 31

1 På den samma tiden, säger Herren, skall jag vara alla Israels slägters Gud, och de skola vara mitt folk.

At the time that [the] utterance of Yahweh I will become God for all [the] clans of Israel and they they will become for me a people.

2 Så säger Herren: Det folk, som qvar blifvet är för svärdet, hafver funnit nåde i öknene; Israel drager bort till sina ro.

Thus he says Yahweh it found favor in the wilderness [the] people of [the] survivors of [the] sword I will go to give rest it Israel.

3 Herren hafver mig synts i fjerran land. Jag hafver ju alltid och allstädes haft dig kär; derföre hafver jag dragit dig till mig af blotta barmhertighet.

From a distance Yahweh he appeared to me and a love of perpetuity I have loved you there-fore I have prolonged to you covenant loyalty.

4 Nu väl, jag skall åter uppbygga dig, så att du skall uppbyggd heta, du jungfru Israel; du skall ännu med fröjd slå i trummo, och utgå i dans.

Again I will build you and you will be rebuilt O virgin of Israel again you will ornament yourself tambourines your and you will go forth in [the] dancing of merry makers.

5 Du skall åter plantera vingårdar på Samarie bergom; plantera skall man, och pipa dertill.

Again you will plant vineyards on [the] hills of Samaria they will plant planters and they will put [them] to use.

6 Ty den tiden skall ännu komma, att vaktare på Ephraims berg ropa skola: Upp, och låter oss gå upp till Zion, till Herran vår Gud.

For there [will be] a day [when] they will call out watchmen in [the] hill country of Ephraim arise so we may go up Zion to Yahweh God our.

7 Ty så säger Herren: Roper öfver Jacob med glädje, och fröjder eder öfver hufvudet ibland Hedningarna. Roper högt, priser, och säger: Herre, hjelp dino folke, dem igenblefnom i Israel.

For thus - he says Yahweh cry out of Jacob gladness and shout for joy on [the] chief of the nations make a proclamation praise and say save O Yahweh people your [the] remnant of Israel.

8 Si, jag skall låta dem komma utu nordlandet, och vill församla dem ifrå jordenes ändar, både blinda, halta, hafvande qvinnor, och dem som nyfödt hafva, så att de skola i en stor hop hit igenkomma.

Here I [am] about to bring them from a land of [the] north and I will gather them from [the] remotest parts of [the] earth [will be] among them [the] blind and [the] lame [the] pregnant and [one] giving birth alike a company great they will return hither.

9 De skola komma gråtande och bedjande, så skall jag leda dem. Jag skall leda dem utmed vattubäcker en slätan väg, att de icke skola stöta sig; ty jag är Israels fader, så är Ephraim min förstfödde son.

With weeping they will come and with supplications I will bring them I will lead them to torrents of water on a path straight not they will stumble in it for I have become of Israel a father and Ephraim [is] firstborn my he.

10 Hörer, I Hedningar, Herrans ord, och förkunner det fjerran på öomen, och säger: Den som Israel förskingrat hafver, han varder honom ock igen församlandes, och skall taga vara uppå honom, såsom en herde på sin hjord.

Hear [the] word of Yahweh O nations and declare in the islands from a distance and say [the] [one who] scattered of Israel he will gather it and he will keep it like a shepherd flock his.

11 Herren skall förlossa Jacob, och hjelpa honom utu dens mägtigas hand.

For he has ransomed Yahweh Jacob and he has redeemed it from [the] hand of [one too] strong for it.

12 Och de skola komma och glädjas på Zions höjd, och skola med hopom söka intill Herrans gåfvor, nämliga till korn, must, oljo, och ung får, och oxar; så att deras själ skall varda lika som en vatturik örtegård, och skola intet mer bekymrade vara.

And they will come and they will cry out for joy on [the] height of Zion and they will be radiant because of [the] good thing[s] of Yahweh on grain and on new wine and on fresh oil and on [the] young of [the] flock and herd and it will be life their like a garden watered and not they will repeat to languish again.

13 Alltså skola, jungfrurna lustiga vara i dans: dertill unge män och gamle, den ene med den andra; ty jag skall förvandla deras ångest i glädje, och trösta dem, och fröjda dem efter deras bedröfvelse.

Then she will rejoice a virgin with dancing and young men and old [men] alike and I will turn mourning their into joy and I will comfort them and I will make glad them from sorrow their.

14 Och jag skall göra Presternas hjerta fullt med glädje, och mitt folk skall mina gåfvor hafva tillfyllest, säger Herren.

And I will satisfy [the] appetite of the priests fatness and people my good thing[s] my they will be satisfied [the] utterance of Yahweh.

15 Detta säger Herren: Man hörer en klagelig röst och bitterlig gråt i höjdene. Rachel begråter sin barn, och vill intet låta sig trösta öfver sin barn; ty det är ute med dem.

Thus - he says Yahweh a voice in Ramah [is] heard a mourning song weeping of bitterness Rachel [is] weeping on children her she has refused to be comforted on children her for there not [is] he.

16 Men Herren säger alltså: Låt af ditt ropande och gråtande, och dina ögons tårar; ty ditt arbete är icke förgäfves, säger Herren. De skola, igenkomma utu fiendaland.

Thus - he says Yahweh restrain voice your from weeping and eyes your from tear[s] for there [will be] a reward for work your [the] utterance of Yahweh and they will return from [the] land of [the] enemy.

17 Och dine efterkommande hafva mycket godt vänta, säger Herren; ty dina barn skola komma uti sitt land igen.

And there [is] hope for future your [the] utterance of Yahweh and they will return children to own territory their.

18 Jag hafver väl hört, huru Ephraim klagar: Du hafver späkt mig, och jag är ock späkt lika som en kåt kalf. Omvänd du mig, så varder jag omvänd; ty du Herre, äst min Gud.

Certainly I have heard Ephraim bemoaning itself you have disciplined me and I was disciplined like a calf [which] not it had been trained restore me so let me return for you [are] Yahweh God my.

19 När jag omvänd vardt, så gjorde jag bättring; ty sedan jag lärde veta, slår jag mig uppå länderna; ty jag är på skam kommen, och blyges; ty jag måste lida det hån, som jag tillförene förtjent hafver.

For after turned away I I repented and after was instructed I I slapped on a thigh I was ashamed and also I was humiliated for I bore [the] reproach of youth my.

20 Är icke Ephraim min älskelige son, och mitt kära barn? Ty jag kommer nu väl ihåg, hvad jag med honom talat hafver; derföre brister mig mitt hjerta för hans skull, att jag måste förbarma mig öfver honom, säger Herren.

¿ A son dear of me [is] Ephraim or? a child of delight for as often as speak I in him certainly I remember him still there-fore they are in a tumult inward parts my for him surely I will have compassion on him [the] utterance of Yahweh.

21 Uppsätt dig åminnelsetecken, sätt dig sörjotecken, och styr ditt hjerta in uppå den rätta vägen, der du på vandra skall. Vänd om, du jungfru Israel, vänd om igen till dessa dina städer.

Set up for yourself signposts place for yourself guideposts set heart your to the highway [the] way ([which] you went *Q(K)*) return O virgin of Israel return to cities your these.

22 Huru länge vill du vända dig bort, du affälliga dotter, den jag igenhemta vill? Ty Herren skall något nytt skapa i landena; en qvinna skall omfatta en man.

Until when? will you vacillate! O daughter apostate for he has created Yahweh a new [thing] on the earth a female she will surround a man.

23 Detta säger Herren Zebaoth, Israels Gud: Man skall ännu säga detta ordet i Juda land, och i dess städer, då jag deras fängelse vändandes varder: Herren välsigne dig, du rättvisones boning, du helga berg.

Thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel again people will say the word this in [the] land of Judah and in cities its when turn back I captivity their may he bless you Yahweh O abode of righteousness O mountain of holiness.

24 Och Juda, samt med alla sina städer, skola bo derinne; dertill åkermän, och de som med hjord omkringfara.

And they will dwell in it Judah and all cities its together farmers and they will journey with flock.

25 Ty jag skall vederqvicka de trötta själar, och mätta de bekymrada själar.

For I give water to [the] throat of [the] weary and every person [who] it has become faint I fill.

26 Derföre vakade jag upp, och såg mig om, och hade så sött sofvit.

On this I awoke and I looked and sleep my it was pleasing to me.

27 Si, den tid kommer, säger Herren, att jag skall beså Israels hus och Juda hus, både med folk och fä.

Here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will sow [the] house of Israel and [the] house of Judah [the] seed of humankind and [the] seed of animal[s].

28 Och som jag öfver dem vakat hafver, till att upprycka, sönderrifva, omkullslå, förderfva, och till att plåga; så skall jag ock vaka, öfver dem, till att uppbygga och plantera, säger Herren.

And it will be just as I kept watch over them to pluck up and to pull down and to tear down and to destroy and to do harm so I will keep watch over them to build and to plant [the] utterance of Yahweh.

29 På den samma tiden skall man intet mer säga: Fäderna hafva ätit sura vindrufvor, och barnens tänder äro ömma vordna;

In the days those not people will say again fathers they have eaten sour grape[s] and [the] teeth of children they will be blunt.

30 Utan hvar och en skall dö för sina missgerning; och hvilken menniska, som sura vindrufvor äter, honom skola hans tänder ömma varda.

That except everyone for own iniquity his he will die every person who eats the sour grape[s] they will be blunt teeth his.

31 Si, den tid kommer, säger Herren, då skall jag göra ett nytt förbund med Israels hus, och med Juda hus;

Here! days [are] coming [the] utterance of Yahweh and I will make with [the] house of Israel and with [the] house of Judah a covenant new.

32 Icke sådant, som det förra förbundet var, det jag med deras fäder gjorde, då jag tog dem vid handena, att jag skulle föra dem utur Egypti land; hvilket förbund de intet hållit hafva, och jag måste tvinga dem, säger Herren;

Not like the covenant which I made with ancestors their on [the] day took hold I on hand their to bring out them from [the] land of Egypt who they they broke covenant my and I I was a husband over them [the] utterance of Yahweh.

33 Utan detta skall vara förbundet, som jag skall göra med Israels hus, efter denna tiden, säger Herren. Jag skall gifva min lag uti deras hjerta, och skrifva dem uti deras sinne; och de skola vara mitt folk, så vill jag vara deras Gud.

That this [is] the covenant which I will make with [the] house of Israel after the days those [the] utterance of Yahweh I will put law my in inner being their and on heart their I will write it and I will become for them God and they they will become for me a people.

34 Och ingen skall lära den andra, icke en broder den andra, och säga: Känn Herran; utan de skola alle känna mig, både små och stora, säger Herren; ty jag vill förlåta dem deras missgerningar, och aldrig komma deras synder mer ihåg.

And not they will teach again each neighbor his and each brother his saying know Yahweh for all of them they will know me from little their and unto great their [the] utterance of Yahweh that I will forgive iniquity their and sin their not I will remember again.

35 Detta säger Herren, som gifver solena dagenom till ett ljus, och månan och stjernorna, efter deras lopp, nattene till ljus; den som rörer hafvet, att dess böljor fräsa; Herren Zebaoth är hans Namn.

Thus - he says Yahweh [who] gives [the] sun for light by day [the] fixed order of [the] moon and [the] stars for light night [who] stirs up the sea and they roared waves its [is] Yahweh of hosts name his.

36 När denna ordningen afkommer för mig, säger Herren, så skall ock Israels säd återvända, så att det icke mer skall vara ett folk för mig.

If they will depart the fixed order these from to before me [the] utterance of Yahweh also [the] offspring of Israel they will cease from being a nation before me all the days.

37 Detta säger Herren: Om man kan mäla himmelen ofvantill, och utransaka jordenes grund, så skall jag ock förkasta hela Israels säd, för allt det som de göra, säger Herren.

Thus - he says Yahweh if they will be measured [the] heavens from to above so they may be explored [the] foundations of [the] earth downwards also I I will reject all [the] offspring of Israel on all that they have done [the] utterance of Yahweh.

38 Si, den tid kommer, säger Herren, att Herrans stad skall uppbyggd varda, ifrå Hananeels torn allt intill hörnaporten.

Here! (days [are] coming *Q(K)*) [the] utterance of Yahweh and it will be rebuilt the city for Yahweh from [the] tower of Hananel [the] gate of the corner.

39 Och rättesnöret skall gå derifrå länger ut, allt intill den högen Gareb, och vända sig inåt Goath.

And it will go out again ([the] line of *Q(K)*) measurement before itself to [the] hill of Gareb and it will turn Goah towards.

40 Och hele dödodalen, och askoplatsen, samt med hela dödåkrenom, allt intill Kidrons bäck, intill hörnet af hästaportenom österut, skall varda helig Herranom, så att det aldrig mer skall omkullrifvet eller afbrutet varda.

And all the valley of the corpses - and the fatty ash and all (the terraced fields *Q(K)*) to [the] wadi of Kidron to [the] corner of [the] gate of the horses east-ward [will be] holy to Yahweh not it will be plucked up and not it will be torn down again for ever.
