Jeremia 30
1 Detta är det ord, som af Herranom skedde till Jeremia:
The word which came unto Jeremiah, from Yahweh, saying: —
2 Detta säger Herren, Israels Gud: Skrif dig all de orden uti ena bok, de jag talar till dig;
Thus, speaketh Yahweh, God of Israel, saying, —Write thee all the words which I have spoken unto thee in a scroll;
3 Ty si, den tiden kommer, säger Herren, att jag mins folks fängelse, både Israels och Juda, vända skall, säger Herren, och skall låta dem igenkomma uti det land, som jag deras fäder gifvit hafver, att de det besitta skola.
For lo! days are coming, Declareth Yahweh, when I will turn the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, Saith Yahweh, —and will bring them back into the land which I gave to their fathers that they might possess it.
4 Och dessa äro de ord, som Herren talade om Israel och Juda.
Now, these, are the words which Yahweh hath spoken against Israel and against Judah:
5 Ty så säger Herren: Sant året, det går ju ömkeliga till med eder; det är intet annat än fruktan på färde, och ingen frid.
Yea, thus, saith Yahweh, A voice of trembling, have we heard, Dread and not welfare!
6 Men fråger dock derefter, och ser till, om en mansperson föda kan? Huru går det då till, att jag ser alla män hålla sina händer uppå sina länder, såsom qvinnor i barnsnöd, och att all ansigte så blek äro?
Ask, I pray you, and see, whether a male travaileth with child! Why have I seen Every man with his hands upon his loins like a woman in travail, and Every face turned into ghastliness?
7 Ack! det är ju en stor dag, och hans like hafver icke varit; och en bedröfvelsetid är i Jacob, likväl skall dem der uthulpet varda.
Alas! for, great, is that day, so that none is like it, —Yea, a time of anguish it is for Jacob, But out of it, shall he be saved.
8 Men det skall ske på den tiden, säger Herren Zebaoth, att jag hans ok sönderbryta skall af dinom hals, och slita din band sönder, att du deruti dem främmandom intet mer tjena skall;
And it shall come to pass in that day, Declareth Yahweh of hosts, That I will break his yoke from off thy neck, And thy bonds, will I tear off, —And foreigners shall use him as a slave no more;
9 Utan de skola tjena Herranom sinom Gud, och sinom Konung David, den jag dem uppväcka skall.
But they shall serve Yahweh their God, —and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
10 Derföre frukta du dig intet, min tjenare Jacob, säger Herren, och gif dig icke, Israel; ty si, jag vill hjelpa dig utu fjerran land, och dina säd utu sins fängelses land; så att Jacob skall igenkomma, lefva i frid, och nog hafva, och ingen skall förskräcka honom.
Thou therefore do not fear O my Servant Jacob Urgeth Yahweh, Neither be thou dismayed, O Israel, For behold me! saving thee from afar And thy seed out of the land of their captivity, —Then shall Jacob return, and rest and be quiet, And there shall be none to make him afraid;
11 Ty jag är när dig, säger Herren, att jag skall hjelpa dig; ty jag skall göra en ända med alla de Hedningar, dit jag dig förskingrat hafver; men med dig vill jag icke ända göra; men jag vill näpsa dig med måttelighet, på det du icke skall hålla dig oskyldig.
For with thee, am, I, Declareth Yahweh To save thee, —Though I make an end of all the nations whither I have scattered thee, Yet will I not of thee, make an end, But will chastise thee in measure, not holding thee, guiltless!
12 Ty detta säger Herren: Din skade är allt för stor, och din sår äro allt för ond.
For Thus, saith Yahweh—incurable is thine injury, —Grievous is thy wound:
13 Dina sak handlar ingen, att han måtte förbinda dem; dig kan ingen läka.
There is none to plead thy cause for binding thee up, —Healing bandages, hast thou none:
14 Alle dine älskare förgäta dig, och fråga der intet efter. Jag hafver slagit dig, lika som jag sloge en fienda, och såsom en obarmhertig stupat dig för dina stora missgerningars skull, och för dina starka synders skull.
All thy lovers, have forgotten thee, Thyself, do they not seek, —For With the wounding of an enemy, have I wounded thee With the correction of one who is cruel, Because of the abounding of thine iniquity, Because numerous have been thy sins.
15 Hvad ropar du öfver din skada, och öfver din stora värk? Hafver jag dock detta gjort dig för dina stora missgerningar, och för dina starka synders skull.
Why shouldst thou make outcry over thine injury, Incurable is thy pain? Because of the abounding of thine iniquity, [Because] numerous have been thy sins Have I done these things unto thee.
16 Derföre, alle de som dig frätit hafva, de skola uppfrätne varda, och alle de som dig ångest gjort hafva, skola fångne varda, och de som dig beröfvat hafva, skola beröfvade varda, och alle de som dig skinnat hafva, skola skinnade varda.
Therefore, all who devour thee, shall be devoured, And, all thine adversaries—all of them, into captivity, shall depart, —So shall they who plundered thee, be plundered, And all who preyed upon thee, will I deliver up as a prey.
17 Men dig vill jag åter helbregda göra, och hela din sår, säger Herren; derföre, att man kallar dig den fördrefna; och Zion, den der ingen efterfrågar.
For I will put a bandage upon thee, And from thy wounds, will I heal thee Declareth Yahweh, —Because An outcast, they called thee, ‘Tis, Zion! who hath none to ask for her welfare,
18 Detta säger Herren: Si, jag skall vända Jacobs hyddors fängelse, och förbarma mig öfver hans boning; och staden skall åter utur askone uppbyggd varda, och templet skall stå som det stå skall.
Thus, saith Yahweh—Behold me! bringing back the captivity of the tents of Jacob, And on his habitations, will I have compassion, —So shall the city be built, upon her own mound, And the citadel, upon its own site, shall remain:
19 Och lof och fröjd skall gå derut: ty jag skall föröka, dem, och icke förminska; Jag skall göra dem stora, och icke mindre.
So shall there proceed from them thanksgiving, and The sound of them who make merry, —And I will multiply them, and they shall not become few, And will make them honourable, and they shall not be despised:
20 Hans söner skola vara såsom tillförene, och hans menighet skall trifvas för mig; ty jag vill alla dem hemsöka, som honom plåga.
And, his sons, shall come to be as aforetime, And, his assembly, before me, shall continue, —And I will bring punishment on all his oppressors;
21 Och hans väldige skall utaf honom sjelfvom född varda, och hans Herre komma utaf honom sjelfvom, och jag skall låta honom nalkas mig, och han skall för mig komma; tv hvilken är den eljest, som med så viljogt hjerta nalkas mig? säger Herren.
And, his illustrious one, shall spring, from himself, And his ruler, from his own midst, shall proceed, And I will bring him near and he shall approach unto me, —For who is there that hath pledged his own heart to approach unto me? Demandeth Yahweh:
22 Och I skolen vara mitt folk, och jag skall vara edar Gud.
So shall ye become my people; And, I, will become your God.
23 Si, ett Herrans väder skall komma med grymhet; ett förskräckeligit oväder skall falla de ogudaktiga öfver hufvudet.
Lo! the tempest of Yahweh! Indignation, hath come forth, A tempest rolling itself upward, —Upon the head of the lawless ones, shall it hurl itself down!
24 Ty Herrans grymma vrede skall icke upphålla, tilldess han gör och uträttar hvad han i sinnet hafver; på sistone skolen I väl förnimma det.
The fierceness of the anger of Yahweh will not turn back, Until he hath executed nor Until he hath established The purposes of his heart, —In the afterpart of the days, shall ye understand it.
