Hebreerbrevet 13
1 Blifver faste i broderlig kärlek.
Continue in brotherly love.
2 Förgäter icke att herberga; ty dermed hafva somliga fått Änglar, ovetandes, till herberges.
Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.
3 Tänker på dem som bundne äro, såsom medbundne; och på dem som bedröfvelse lida, såsom de der ock af lekamenen äro.
Remember those in prison as if you were bound with them, and those who are mistreated as if you were suffering with them.
4 Ägtenskapet skall hållas ärligit ibland alla, och ägtenskapets säng obesmittad; men bolare och horkarlar skall Gud döma.
Marriage should be honored by all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
5 Umgängelsen vare utan girighet; och låter eder nöja med det I hafven; ty han sade: Jag skall icke öfvergifva eller förlåta dig;
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, for God has said: “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.”
6 Så att vi dristeliga måga säga: Herren är min hjelpare, och jag vill icke frukta; hvad kan en menniska göra mig?
So we say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”
7 Tänker på edra lärare, de eder Guds ord sagt hafva, och efterföljer deras tro; skådande hvad ända deras umgängelse hade.
Remember your leaders who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (aiōn g165)
9 Låter eder icke omföras med mångahanda och främmande lärdom; ty det är godt att stadfästa hjertat med nådene; icke med maten; hvilken intet gagnat hafver dem, som dermed umgått hafva.
Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace and not by foods of no value to those devoted to them.
10 Vi hafve ett altare, af hvilko de hafva icke magt att äta, som tjena i tabernaklet.
We have an altar from which those who serve at the tabernacle have no right to eat.
11 Ty ehvad djurs blod, som öfverste Presten, för syndene, inbär uti det heliga, deras kroppar uppbrännas utom lägret.
Although the high priest brings the blood of animals into the Holy Place as a sacrifice for sin, the bodies are burned outside the camp.
12 Derföre ock Jesus, på det han skulle helga folket med sitt eget blod, hafver han lidit utom porten.
And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate, to sanctify the people by His own blood.
13 Så låt oss nu gå ut till honom utu lägret, och bära hans smälek.
Therefore let us go to Him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace He bore.
14 Ty vi hafve här ingen varaktig stad, utan vi sökom efter den tillkommande.
For here we do not have a permanent city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.
15 Så låt oss nu genom honom alltid offra Gudi lofoffer, det är, läpparnas frukt, de hans Namn bekänna.
Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that confess His name.
16 Förgäter icke göra väl, och meddela; ty sådana offer täckas Gudi.
And do not neglect to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
17 Varer edra lärare lydige, och följer dem; ty de vaka öfver edra själar, såsom de der räkenskap göra skola; på det de måga det göra med fröjd, och icke med suckan; ty det är eder icke nyttigt.
Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they watch over your souls as those who must give an account. To this end, allow them to lead with joy and not with grief, for that would be of no advantage to you.
18 Beder för oss; vår tröst är den att vi ett godt samvet hafve, och vinnlägge oss hafva en god umgängelse när alla;
Pray for us; we are convinced that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way.
19 Men aldramest beder jag eder, att I sådant gören, att jag med det snaresta måtte komma till eder.
And I especially urge you to pray that I may be restored to you soon.
20 Men fridsens Gud, som igenfört hafver ifrå de döda den stora Fåraherdan, genom dess eviga Testamentsens blod, vår Herra Jesum; (aiōnios g166)
Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, (aiōnios g166)
21 Han göre eder skickeliga uti allt godt verk, till att göra sin vilja, och skaffe uti eder hvad honom täckeligit är, genom Jesum Christum; hvilken vare ära af evighet i evighet. Amen. (aiōn g165)
equip you with every good thing to do His will. And may He accomplish in us what is pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
22 Jag förmanar eder, käre bröder, tager förmanelsens ord till godo; ty jag hafver eder med få ord tillskrifvit.
I urge you, brothers, to bear with my word of exhortation, for I have only written to you briefly.
23 Veter, att brodren Timotheus lös är; med hvilkom, om han snart kommer, vill jag se eder.
Be aware that our brother Timothy has been released. If he arrives soon, I will come with him to see you.
24 Helser alla edra lärare, och all helgon. Eder helsa bröderne uti Valland.
Greet all your leaders and all the saints. Those from Italy send you greetings.
25 Nåd vare med eder allom. Amen.
