1 Mosebok 21
1 Och Herren sökte Sara, såsom han sagt hade, och Herren gjorde med henne såsom han talat hade.
The lorde visyted Sara as he had sayde and dyd vnto her acordynge as he had spoken.
2 Och Sara vardt hafvande, och födde Abraham en son i sinom ålderdom, vid den tiden, som Gud honom föresagt hade.
And Sara was with childe and bare Abraha a sonne in his olde age euen the same season which the LORde had appoynted.
3 Och Abraham nämnde sin son, som honom född var, Isaac, den honom Sara födt hade.
And Abraham called his sonnes name that was borne vnto him which Sara bare him Isaac:
4 Och omskar honom på åttonde dagen, som Gud honom budit hade.
and Abra circucysed Isaac his sone whe he was. viij. dayes olde as God commaunded him
5 Hundrade år gammal var Abraham, då honom hans son Isaac födder var.
And Abraha was an hundred yere olde when his sonne Isaac was borne vnto him.
6 Och Sara sade: Gud hafver gjort mig ett löje; ty hvilken det får höra, han får le åt mig.
And Sara sayde: God hath made me a laughinge stocke: for all yt heare will laugh at me
7 Och sade ytterligare: Ho torde ock säga Abraham sjelfvom, att Sara däggde barn, och hade födt honom en son i sinom ålderdom?
She sayde also: who wolde haue sayde vnto Abraham that Sara shulde haue geuen childern sucke or yt I shulde haue borne him a sonne in his olde age:
8 Och barnet växte, och vardt afvandt. Och Abraham gjorde ett stort gästabud den dagen, då Isaac afvandes.
The childe grewe and was wened and Abraham made a great feast the same daye that Isaac was wened.
9 Och Sara fick se den Egyptiska qvinnones Hagars son, den hon Abraham födt hade, att han var en bespottare.
Sara sawe the sonne of Hagar the Egiptian which she had borne vnto Abraham a mockynge.
10 Och sade till Abraham: Drif denna tjensteqvinnona ut med hennes son; ty denne tjensteqvinnones son skall icke ärfva med min son Isaac.
Then she sayde vnto Abraham: put awaye this bondemayde and hyr sonne: for the sonne of this bondwoman shall not be heyre with my sonne Isaac:
11 Detta ordet behagade Abraham ganska illa för sin sons skull.
But the wordes semed verey greavous in Abrahams syghte because of his sonne.
12 Men Gud sade till honom: Låt dig icke tycka hårdt vara om pilten och tjensteqvinnone; allt det Sara dig sagt hafver, så lyd henne; förty i Isaac skall säden dig nämnd varda.
Than the LORde sayde vnto Abraham: let it not be greavous vnto the because of the ladd and of thy bondmayde: But in all that Sara hath saide vnto the heare hir voyce for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
13 Jag skall ock göra tjensteqvinnones son till folk, derföre att han din säd är.
Moreouer of the sonne of the Bondwoman will I make a nation because he is thy seed.
14 Då stod Abraham bittida upp om morgonen, och tog bröd och en flaska med vatten, och lade på Hagars rygg, och pilten med, och lät gå henne. Hon gick sin väg, och for vill i öknene, vid BerSaba.
And Abraham rose vp early in the mornyng and toke brede and a bottell with water and gaue it vnto Hagar puttynge it on hir shulders wyth the lad also and sent her awaye. And she departed and wadred vpp and doune in the wyldernes of Berseba.
15 Då nu vattnet i flaskone var förtärdt, kastade hon pilten under en buska.
When the water was spent that was in the botell she cast the lad vnder a bush
16 Och gick bort och satte sig tvärs öfver långt ifrå, vid ett armborst skott; ty hon sade: Jag gitter icke se uppå att pilten dör. Och vid hon satt tvärs öfver, hof hon upp sina röst, och gret.
and went and satt her out of syghte a great waye as it were a bowshote off: For she sayde: I will not se the lad dye. And she satt doune out of syghte and lyfte vp hyr voyce and wepte.
17 Då hörde Gud piltens röst, och Guds Ängel kallade Hagar af himmelen, sägandes: Hvad skadar dig, Hagar? Frukta dig intet; förty Gud hafver hört piltens röst, der han ligger.
And God herde the voyce of the childe. And the angell of God called Hagar out of heaven and sayde vnto her: What ayleth the Hagar? Feare not for God hath herde the voyce of the childe where he lyeth.
18 Statt upp, tag pilten, och håll honom med dina händer; ty jag skall göra honom till stort folk.
Aryse and lyfte vp the lad and take hym in thy hande for I will make off him a greate people.
19 Och Gud öppnade hennes ögon, att hon fick se en vattubrunn. Då gick hon till och fyllde sina flasko med vatten, och gaf piltenom dricka.
And God opened hir eyes and she sawe a well of water. And she went and fylled the bottell with water and gaue the boye drynke.
20 Och Gud var med piltenom; han växte, och bodde i öknene, och vardt en god skytte.
And God was wyth the lad and he grewe and dweld in the wildernesse and became an archer.
21 Och bodde i den öknene Pharan: Och hans moder tog honom hustru utur Egypti land.
And he dweld in the wyldernesse of Pharan. And hys mother gott him a wyfe out of the land of Egypte.
22 På samma tiden talade Abimelech och Phicol, hans härhöfvitsman, med Abraham, och sade: Gud är med dig uti allt det du gör.
And it chaunced the same season that Abimelech and Phicoll his chefe captayne spake vnto Abraham saynge: God is wyth the in all that thou doist.
23 Så svär mig nu vid Gud, att du är mig icke arg, eller minom barnom, eller minom barnabarnom: Utan den barmhertighet, som jag hafver gjort med dig, den gör ock med mig, och landena, der du en främling uti äst.
Now therfore swere vnto me even here by God that thou wylt not hurt me nor my childern nor my childerns childern. But that thou shalt deale with me and the contre where thou art a straunger acordynge vnto the kyndnesse that I haue shewed the.
24 Då sade Abraham: Jag vill svärja.
Then sayde Abraham: I wyll swere.
25 Och Abraham straffade Abimelech för den vattubrunnens skull, som Abimelechs tjenare hade tagit med våld.
And Abraham rebuked Abimelech for a well of water which Abimelech servauntes had taken awaye.
26 Då svarade Abimelech: Jag hafver icke vist, ho det gjorde; ej heller sade du mig det; dertill hafver jag icke hört det förra än i dag.
And Abimelech answered I wyst not who dyd it: Also thou toldest me not nether herde I of it but this daye.
27 Då tog Abraham får och fä, och gaf Abimelech: Och gjorde båda ett förbund med hvarannan.
And Abraham toke shepe and oxen and gaue them vnto Abimelech. And they made both of them a bonde together.
28 Och Abraham ställde sju lamb afsides.
And Abraham sett vij. lambes by them selues.
29 Sade Abimelech till Abraham: Hvad skola de sju lamb, som du hafver ställt der afsides?
And Abimelech sayde vnto Abraham: what meane these. vij. lamdes which thou hast sett by them selues.
30 Han svarade: Sju lamb skall du taga af mine hand, att de skola vara mig till ett vittnesbörd, att jag denna brunn grafvit hafver.
And he answered: vij. lambes shalt thou take of my hande that it maye be a wytnesse vnto me that I haue dygged this well:
31 Deraf heter det rummet BerSaba, att de båda med hvarannan der så svoro.
Wherfore the place is called Berseba because they sware both of them.
32 Och alltså gjorde de det förbund i BerSaba. Då stodo Abimelech och hans härhöfvitsman Phicol upp, och drogo in i de Philisteers land igen.
Thus made they a bonde to gether at Berseba. Than Abimelech and Phicoll his chefe captayne rose vp and turned agayne vnto the lande of the Philistines.
33 Och Abraham plantade trä i BerSaba; och predikade der om Herrans eviga Guds namn;
And Abraham planted a wodd in Berseba and called there on the name of the LORde the everlastynge God:
34 Och var en främling uti de Philisteers land i långan tid.
and dwelt in the Phelistinlade alonge season
