1 Mosebok 13

1 Så for då Abram upp utur Egypten med sine hustru, och med allt det han hade, och Lot ock med honom, söder ut.

And he went up Abram from Egypt he and wife his and all that [belonged] to him and Lot with him the Negev towards.

2 Och Abram var ganska rik på boskap, silfver och guld.

And Abram [was] wealthy very in livestock in silver and in gold.

3 Och han for bätter fram ifrå sunnan allt intill BethEl, till det rummet, der han sitt tjäll tillförene haft hade, emellan BethEl och Ay.

And he went to journeyings his from [the] Negev and to Beth-el to the place where it had been there (tent his *Q(K)*) at the beginning between Beth-el and between Ai.

4 Rätt på samma rum, der han tillförene hade byggt altaret. Och der predikade han Herrans namn.

To [the] place of the altar which he had made there at the former [time] and he called there Abram on [the] name of Yahweh.

5 Men Lot, som med Abram for, hade också får, och fä, och tjäll.

And also to Lot who was traveling with Abram it be[longed] sheep and cattle and tents.

6 Och landet kunde icke fördragat, att de bodde tillhopa, förty deras håfvor voro stora, och kunde icke bo med hvarannan.

And not it supported them the land to dwell together for it was possession[s] their much and not they were able to dwell together.

7 Och var ju alltid träta emellan herdarna öfver Abrams boskap och herdarna öfver Lots boskap. Och bodde desslikes i den tiden de Cananeer och Phereseer der i landena.

And it was quarreling between [the] herdsmen of [the] livestock of Abram and between [the] herdsmen of [the] livestock of Lot and the Canaanite[s] and the Perizzite[s] then [was] dwelling in the land.

8 Då sade Abram till Lot: Käre, låtom icke vara träta emellan mig och dig, och emellan mina och dina herdar; ty vi äre bröder.

And he said Abram to Lot may not please there be strife between me and between you and between herdsmen my and between herdsmen your for [are] men brothers we.

9 Står icke allt landet dig öppet? Käre, skilj dig ifrå mig. Vill du till venstra handena, så vill jag till den högra; eller vill du till den högra, så vill jag till den venstra.

¿ Not [is] all the land before you separate please from with me if the left so let me go right and if the right and I will go left.

10 Då hof Lot sin ögon upp, och besåg den hela ängden vid Jordan. Förty, förra än Herren förderfvade Sodom och Gomorra, var hon vatturik, allt intill man kommer till Zoar, såsom en Herrans lustgård, lika som Egypti land.

And he lifted up Lot eyes his and he saw all [the] valley of the Jordan that all of it [was] well-watered before - destroyed Yahweh Sodom and Gomorrah like [the] garden of Yahweh like [the] land of Egypt going you Zoar.

11 Så utvalde sig Lot den hela ängden vid Jordan, och drog öster ut. Och så skildes den ene brodren ifrå den andra;

And he chose for himself Lot all [the] valley of the Jordan and he set out Lot from [the] east and they separated each from with brother his.

12 Att Abram bodde i Canaans land, och Lot i samma ängdens städer, och slog sitt tjäll upp in mot Sodom.

Abram he dwelt in [the] land of Canaan and Lot he dwelt in [the] cities of the valley and he moved tent to Sodom.

13 Men det folk i Sodom var ondt, och syndade svårliga emot Herran.

And [the] people of Sodom [were] wicked and sinful to Yahweh exceedingly.

14 Då nu Lot hade skilt sig ifrån Abram, sade Herren (till Abram): Häf upp din ögon, och se ifrå det rummet, der du nu bor, norr ut, söder ut, öster ut och vester ut.

And Yahweh he said to Abram after separated Lot from with him lift up please eyes your and look from the place where you [are] there north-ward and south-ward and east-ward and west-ward.

15 Förty allt detta landet, som du ser, vill jag gifva dig och dine säd till evig tid.

For all the land which you [are] seeing to you I will give it and to offspring your until perpetuity.

16 Och vill göra dina säd såsom stoftet på jordene. Kan en menniska räkna stoftet på jordene, så må hon ock räkna dina säd.

And I will make offspring your like [the] dust of the earth which - if he will be able anyone to count [the] dust of the earth also offspring your it will numbered.

17 Derföre upp, och drag genom landet, tvärs och ändalångs; förty dig vill jag gifva det.

Arise walk about in the land to length its and to breadth its for to you I will give it.

18 Så tog Abram sitt tjäll upp, och kom och bodde vid den lunden Mamre, hvilken i Hebron är, och byggde dersammastädes Herranom ett altare.

And he moved tent Abram and he went and he dwelt at [the] great trees of Mamre which [are] at Hebron and he built there an altar to Yahweh.
