Esra 8

1 Desse äro hufvuden för deras fäder, som räknade vordo, och med mig uppdrogo ifrå Babel, i den tiden, då Konung Arthahsasta regerade.

Now these are the chiefs of families, and the genealogy of them, who came up with me from Babylon in the reign of Artaxerxes the king.

2 Af Pinehas barn: Gersom. Af Ithamars barn: Daniel. Af Davids barn: Hattus.

Of the sons of Phinees, Gersom. Of the sons of Ithamar, Daniel. Of the sons of David, Hattus.

3 Af Sechania barn, Paros barn: Zacharia, och med honom räknade hundrade och femtio män.

Of the sons of Sechenias, the son of Pharos, Zacharias, and with him were numbered a hundred and fifty men.

4 Af PahathMoabs barn: Eljoenai, Seraja son, och med honom tuhundrad män.

Of the sons of Phahath Moab, Eleoenai the son of Zareha, and with him two hundred men.

5 Af Sechania barn: Jahasiels son, och med honom trehundrad män.

Of the sons of Sechenias, the son of Ezechiel, and with him three hundred men.

6 Af Adins barn: Ebed, Jonathans son, och med honom femtio män.

Of the sons of Adan, Abed the son of Jonathan, and with him fifty men.

7 Af Elams barn: Jesaia, Athalia son, och med honom sjutio män.

Of the sons of Alam, Isaias the son of Athalias, and with him seventy men.

8 Af Sephatja barn: Sebadja, Michaels son, och med honom åttatio män.

Of the sons of Saphatia: Zebodia the son of Michael, and with him eighty men.

9 Af Joabs barn: Obadja, Jehiels son, och med honom tuhundrad och aderton män.

Of the sons of Joab, Obedia the son of Jahiel, and with him two hundred and eighteen men.

10 Af Selomiths barn: Josiphia son, och med honom hundrade och sextio män.

Of the sons of Selomith, the son of Josphia, and with him a hundred and sixty men.

11 Af Bebai barn: Zacharia, Bebai son, och med honom åtta och tjugu män.

Of the sons of Bebai, Zacharias the son of Bebai: and with him eight and twenty men.

12 Af Asgads barn: Johanan, Katans son, och med honom hundrade och tio män.

Of the sons of Azgad, Joanan the son of Eccetan, and with him a hundred and ten men.

13 Af de sista Adonikams barn; och heto alltså: Eliphelet, Jehiel och Semaja, och med dem sextio män.

Of the sons of Adonicam, who were the last: and these are their names: Eliphelet, and Jehiel, and Samaias, and with them sixty men.

14 Af Bigvai barn: Uthai och Sabbud, och med dem sjutio män.

Of the sons of Begui, Uthai and Zachur, and with them seventy men.

15 Och jag församlade dem till älfvena, som kommer till Ahava; och blefvom der i tre dagar. Och då jag gaf akt uppå folket och Presterna, fann jag der inga Leviter.

And I gathered them together to the river, which runneth down to Ahava, and we stayed there three days: and I sought among the people and among the priests for the sons of Levi, and found none there.

16 Då sände jag till Elieser, Ariel, Semaja, Elnathan, Jarib, Elnathan, Nathan, Zacharia och Mesullam, öfverstar; och Jojarib och Elnathan, lärare;

So I sent Eliezer, and Ariel, and Semeias, and Elnathan, and Jarib, and another Elnathan, and Nathan, and Zacharias, and Mosollam, chief men: and Joiarib, and Elnathan, wise men.

17 Och sände dem ut till Iddo öfverstan, till Casiphja, att de skulle hemta oss tjenare uti vår Guds hus. Och jag gaf dem in hvad de tala skulle med Iddo och hans bröder, de Nethinim i Casiphja.

And I sent them to Eddo, who is chief in the place of Chasphia, and I put in their mouth the words that they should speak to Eddo, and his brethren the Nathinites in the place of Chasphia, that they should bring us ministers of the house of our God.

18 Och de hade till oss, efter Guds goda hand öfver oss, en klok man utaf Maheli barn, Levi sons, Israels sons, Serebia, med hans söner och bröder, aderton;

And by the good hand of our God upon us, they brought us a most learned man of the sons of Moholi the son of Levi the son of Israel, and Sarabias and his sons, and his brethren eighteen,

19 Och Hasabia, och med honom Jesaia af Merari barn, med hans bröder och deras söner, tjugu;

And Hasabias, and with him Isaias of the sons of Merari, and his brethren, and his sons twenty.

20 Och af de Nethinim, hvilka David och Förstarna gåfvo till att tjena Leviterna, tuhundrad och tjugu, alle nämnde vid namn.

And of the Nathinites, whom David, and the princes gave for the service of the Levites, Nathinites two hundred and twenty: all these were called by their names.

21 Och jag lät der vid älfvena, vid Ahava, utropa ena fasto, att vi skulle ödmjuka oss för vårom Gud, till att söka af honom en rättan väg för oss, och vår barn, och alla våra håfvor.

And I proclaimed there a fast by the river Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before the Lord our God, and might ask of him a right way for us and for our children, and for all our substance.

22 Ty jag skämdes bedas ledsagare och resenärar af Konungenom, att de skulle hjelpa oss för fienderna på vägenom; förty vi hade sagt Konungenom: Vår Guds hand är till det bästa öfver alla de honom söka; och hans starkhet och vrede öfver alla dem, som honom öfvergifva.

For I was ashamed to ask the king for aid and for horsemen, to defend us from the enemy in the way: because we had said to the king: The hand of our God is upon all them that seek him in goodness: and his power and strength, and wrath upon all them that forsake him.

23 Alltså fastade vi, och sökte detta af vårom Gud, och han hörde oss.

And we fasted, and besought our God for this: and it fell out prosperously unto us.

24 Och jag afskiljde tolf af de öfversta Presterna, Serebia och Hasabia, och med dem tio deras bröder;

And I separated twelve of the chief of the priests, Sarabias, and Hasabias, and with them ten of their brethren,

25 Och vog dem till silfver, och guld, och tyg till häfoffer i vår Guds hus, hvilka Konungen, och hans rådherrar, och Förstar, och hele Israel, som för handene var, till häfoffer gifvit hade;

And I weighed unto them the silver and gold, and the vessels consecrated for the house of our God, which the king and his counsellors, and his princes, and all Israel, that were found had offered.

26 Och vog dem till i deras hand sexhundrad och femtio centener silfver, och i silfvertyg hundrade centener, och i guld hundrade centener;

And I weighed to their hands six hundred and fifty talents of silver, and a hundred vessels of silver, and a hundred talents of gold,

27 Tjugu gyldene skålar, de höllo tusende gylden, och tu god kostelig kopparkäril, klar såsom guld;

And twenty cups of gold, of a thousand solids, and two vessels of the best shining brass, beautiful as gold.

28 Och sade till dem: I ären helige Herranom; så äro ock kärilen helig; dertill det frigifna silfver och guld Herranom edra fäders Gud.

And I said to them: You are the holy ones of the Lord, and the vessels are holy, and the silver and gold, that is freely offered to the Lord the God of our fathers.

29 Så vaker, och bevarer det, tilldess I vägen det inför öfversta Presterna, och Leviterna, och öfversta fäderna i Israel i Jerusalem, uti Herrans hus kistor.

Watch ye and beep them, till you deliver them by weight before the chief of the priests, and of the Levites, and the heads of the families of Israel in Jerusalem, into the treasure of the house of the Lord.

30 Då togo Presterna och Leviterna det vägna silfret, och guldet, och kärilen, att de skulle föra det till Jerusalem, till vår Guds hus.

And the priests and the Levites received the weight of the silver and gold, and the vessels, to carry them to Jerusalem to the house of our God.

31 Alltså fore vi ifrån älfvene Ahava, på tolfte dagen i första månadenom, att vi skulle draga till Jerusalem; och vår Guds hand var öfver oss, och bevarade oss ifrå fiendernas hand och försåt på vägenom.

Then we set forward from the river Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month to go to Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was upon us, and delivered us from the hand of the enemy, and of such as lay in wait by the way.

32 Och vi komme till Jerusalem, och blefvom der i tre dagar.

And we came to Jerusalem, and we stayed there three days.

33 På fjerde dagenom vardt väget silfret och guldet, och kärilen uti vår Guds hus, under Meremoths hand, Uria sons Prestens, och med honom var Eleazar, Pinehas son; och med dem Josabath, Jesua son, och Noadja, Binnui son, de Leviter;

And on the fourth day the silver and the gold, and the vessels were weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Meremoth the son of Urias the priest, and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinees, and with them Jozabad the son of Josue, and Noadaia the son of Benoi, Levites.

34 Efter hvars tal och vigt; och vigten vardt på den tiden all beskrifven.

According to the number and weight of every thing: and all the weight was written at that time.

35 Och fängelsens barn, som utu fängelset komne voro, offrade bränneoffer Israels Gudi, tolf stutar för hela Israel, sex och niotio vädrar, sju och sjutio lamb, tolf bockar till syndoffer; alltsammans till bränneoffer Herranom.

Moreover the children of them that had been carried away that were come out of the captivity, offered holocausts to the God of Israel, twelve calves for all the people of Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-seven lambs, and twelve he goats for sin: all for a holocaust to the Lord.

36 Och de antvardade Konungens befallning Konungens ämbetsmän och landshöfdingom på denne sidon älfven; och de upphöjde folket, och Guds hus.

And they gave the king’s edicts to the lords that were from the king’s court, and the governors beyond the river, and they furthered the people and the house of God.
