Esra 6
1 Då befallde Konung Darios, att man söka skulle i cancelliet, uti Konungens skatthus, som i Babel låg.
Then Darius king the he made a decree and they searched - in [the] house books the where treasures the [were] deposited there in Babylon.
2 Då fann man i Ahmeta, på det slottet som i Meden ligger, ena bok, och derutinnan var ett sådana ärende beskrifvet:
And it was found in Ecbatana in citadel the which [is] in Media province the a scroll one and as follows it was written in midst its memorandum.
3 Uti första årena Konungs Cores befallde Konung Cores uppbygga Guds hus i Jerusalem, på det rum der man offrar, och grundval lägga, till sextio alnars höjd, till bredden ock sextio alnar;
In year one of Cyrus king the Cyrus king the he made a decree [the] house of God in Jerusalem house the let it be built a place which [they were] sacrificing sacrifices and foundations its [be] retained height its cubits sixty width its cubits sixty.
4 Och tre väggar af allahanda stenar, och en vägg af trä; och kosten skall gifven varda utaf Konungshuset.
Rows of stone of rolling three and a row of timber new and expense the from [the] house of king the let it be given.
5 Dertill de Guds hus gyldene och silfvertyg, som NebucadNezar uti templet i Jerusalem tagit, och till Babel fört hade, skall man igengifva, så att de skola igenförde varda uti templet i Jerusalem, i sitt rum, i Guds hus.
And also [the] vessels of [the] house of God of gold and silver which Nebuchadnezzar he brought out from temple the which [was] in Jerusalem and he carried to Babylon let them send back and let it go to temple the which [is] in Jerusalem to place its so you may deposit [them] in [the] house of God.
6 Så farer nu långt ifrå dem, du Thathnai, landshöfdinge hinsidon vid älfven, och SetharBosnai, och deras Råd af Apharsach, som hinsidon älfven ären.
Now O Tattenai [the] governor of [the] region beyond river the Shethar-Bozenai and associates their officials the who [are] in [the] region beyond river the far be! from there.
7 Låter dem arbeta på Guds hus, så att Judarnas höfvitsman och deras äldsta måga bygga Guds hus på sitt rum.
Leave! [the] work of [the] house of God this [the] governor of Jews the and [the] elders of Jews the [the] house of God this let them build on place its.
8 Är också af mig befaldt, hvad man de äldsta i Juda utfå skall, till att bygga Guds hus, nämliga att man skall fliteliga taga utaf Konungens drätsel, det är, af den ränto hinsidon älfven, och gifva männerna, och att man icke förhindrar dem.
And from me it is made a decree to whatever that you will do with [the] elders of Jews the these to build [the] house of God this and from [the] properti of king the which [is] [the] tribute of [the] region beyond river the diligently expense the let it be given to men the these that not to make to cease.
9 Och om de behöfva kalfvar, lamb, eller bockar, till bränneoffer till himmelens Gud, hvete, salt, vin och oljo, efter Presternas sed i Jerusalem, skall man dem gifva dagliga hvad de behöfva; och att detta sker oförsummeliga;
And whatever things needed and young of bulls and rams and lambs - for burnt offerings - to [the] God of heavens the wheat salt - wine and oil according to [the] word of priests the who [are] in Jerusalem it will be given to them day - by day that not negligence.
10 Att de måga offra till en söt lukt Gudi i himmelen, och bedja för Konungens lif, och hans barnas.
That they will be offering soothing offerings to [the] God of heavens the and praying for [the] life of king the and sons his.
11 Af mig är denna befallning gifven; och hvilken menniska denna orden förvänder, utaf hans hus skall man taga en bjelka, och resa honom upp, och hängan deruti, och hans hus skall skamliga förstördt varda för den gernings skull.
And from me it is made a decree that every person who he will violate command the this let it be pulled away a beam from house his and [he will] be lifted up let him be impaled on it and house his a refuse-heap let it be made on this.
12 Och Gud, som hafver låtit sitt namn bo der, förstöre alla Konungar, och folk, som sina hand uträcka, till att förstöra och nederslå Guds hus i Jerusalem; jag Darios hafver detta befallt, att detta skall ock så alldeles fullföljdt varda.
And God who he has caused to dwell name his there may he overthrow every king and people who - he will stretch out hand his to violate to destroy [the] house of God this which [is] in Jerusalem I Darius I make a decree diligently let it be done.
13 Då gjorde det Thathnai landshöfdingen hinsidon älfven, och SetharBosnai med deras Råd, till hvilka Konung Darios sändt hade, fliteliga.
Then Tattenai [the] governor of [the] region beyond river the Shethar-Bozenai and associates their before that he had sent Darius king the accordingly diligently they did.
14 Och Judarnas äldste byggde, och det gick för handena, efter den Prophetens Haggai och Zacharia, Iddo sons, Prophetia. Och de byggde, och uppsatte, efter Israels Guds befallning, och efter Cores, Darios och Arthahsasta, Konungarnas i Persien, befallning;
And [the] elders of Jews the [were] building and prospering by [the] prophesying of Haggai (prophet the *Q(K)*) and Zechariah [the] son of Iddo and they built and they finished according to [the] decree of [the] God of Israel and according to [the] decree of Cyrus and Darius and Artaxerxes [the] king of Persia.
15 Och fullkomnade huset, intill tredje dagen i dem månadenom Adar, det var sjette året af Konung Darios rike.
And it was brought forth house the this until day three of [the] month of Adar which it [was] year six of [the] reign of Darius king the.
16 Och Israels barn, Presterna, Leviterna, och de andre fängelsens barnen, höllo Guds hus vigning med glädje;
And they made [the] people of Israel priests the and Levites the and [the] rest of [the] people of exile the [the] dedication of [the] house of God this with joy.
17 Och offrade i Guds hus vigning hundrade kalfvar, tuhundrad lamb, fyrahundrad bockar; och till syndoffer för hela Israel, tolf getabockar, efter slägternas tal i Israel.
And they offered for [the] dedication of [the] house of God this bulls one hundred rams two hundred lambs four hundred and he-goats of goats (for a sin offering *Q(K)*) on all Israel two [plus] ten to [the] number of [the] tribes of Israel.
18 Och de satte Presterna i deras ordning, och Leviterna i deras vakt, till att tjena Gudi, som i Jerusalem är; såsom skrifvet står i Mose bok.
And they appointed priests the in divisions their and Levites the in classes their over [the] service of God which [is] in Jerusalem according to [the] writing of [the] book of Moses.
19 Och fängelsens barn höllo Passah på fjortonde dagen i dem första månadenom.
And they celebrated [the] children of the exile the passover on [day] four-teen of the month the first.
20 Ty Presterna och Leviterna hade renat sig, så att de alle rene voro, såsom en man; och de slagtade Passah för all fängelsens barn, och för deras bröder Presterna, och för sig.
For they had purified themselves the priests and the Levites as one all of them [were] pure and they slaughtered the passover for all [the] children of the exile and for brothers their the priests and for themselves.
21 Och Israels barn, som af fängelsen voro igenkomne, och alle de som sig till dem afskiljt hade ifrå Hedningarnas orenhet i landena, till att söka Herran Israels Gud, åto;
And they ate [the] people of Israel who had returned from the exile and every [one who] had separated himself from [the] uncleanness of [the] nations of the land to them to seek Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
22 Och höllo osyrade bröds högtid i sju dagar med glädje; förty Herren hade gjort dem glada, och vändt Konungens hjerta af Assur till dem, så att deras händer styrkta vordo i verket på Guds hus, den Israels Gud är.
And they celebrated [the] feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy for - he had made rejoice them Yahweh and he had turned [the] heart of [the] king of Assyria towards them to make strong hands their in [the] work of [the] house of God [the] God of Israel.
