Hesekiel 48
1 Detta äro namnen af slägterna: norrut, ifrån Hethlon intill Hamuth och HazarEnon, och ifrå Damasco intill Hamath, det skall Dan hafva för sin del, både öster och vester.
“Here is a list of the tribes of Israel [and the territory that each tribe is to receive]: [The tribe of] Dan will be allotted land at the northern boundary [of Israel]: It will extend east from the Mediterranean Sea east to Hethlon [city], then from there to Hamath Pass, and on to [the town of] Hazar-Enan south of Damascus, between Damascus and Hamath. The tribe of Dan will receive land on the northern border [of Israel] from the eastern end [of the country] west to the [Mediterranean] Sea.
2 Näst Dan skall Asser hafva sin del, både öster och vester.
South of their land will be the territory [for the tribe] of Asher.
3 Näst Asser skall Naphthali hafva sin del, öster och vester.
South of their land will be the territory [for the tribe] of Naphtali.
4 Näst Naphthali gränso skall Manasse hafva sin del, öster och vester.
South of their land will be the territory [for the tribe] of Manasseh.
5 Näst Manasse gränso skall Ephraim hafva sin del, öster och vester.
South of their land will be the territory [for the tribe] of Ephraim.
6 Vid Ephraims gränso skall Ruben hafva sin del, öster och vester.
South of their land will be the territory [for the tribe] of Reuben.
7 Vid Rubens gränso skall Juda hafva sin del, öster och vester.
South of their land will be the territory [for the tribe] of Judah.
8 Men vid Juda gränso skolen I afskilja en del ifrån öster och intill vester, den fem och tjugu tusend stänger lång och bred är, lika som eljest en del är ifrån öster och intill vester; der skall helgedomen stå uppå.
South of their land will be an area set apart for special use. The temple will be in the center of that area.
9 Och derifrå skolen I afskilja Herranom en del, fem och tjugu tusend stänger lång, och tiotusend stänger bred.
It must be (8.3 miles/13.3 km.) long and (6.7 miles/10.6 km.) wide.
10 Och den samme helige delen skall höra Presterna till; nämliga fem och tjugu tusend stänger långt, norrut och söderut, och tiotusend bredt, österut och vesterut; och Herrans helgedom skall stå der midt uti.
For the priests, there must be a strip of land (8.3 miles/13.3 km.) long and (3.3 miles/5.3 km.) wide. The temple will be in the center of that area.
11 Det skall höra Prestema till, som af Zadoks slägte äro, hvilke mitt sätt hållit hafva, och voro icke affällige med Israels barnom, såsom Leviterna affällige voro.
That area is for the priests who are descendants of Zadok. They are ones who served me faithfully and did not turn away from me, like most of the descendants of Levi and the other Israeli people did.
12 Och skola de alltså hafva en egen del af den afskilda markene, der det aldrahelgasta uti är, vid de Leviters gränso.
When the land is distributed, that area must be given to the priests; it is land that is very sacred. It will be next to the land that will be given to the other descendants of Levi.
13 Men Leviterna skola ock hafva fem och tjugu tusend stänger i längdene, och tiotusend i breddene, invid Presternas gränso; all längd skall hafve, fem och tjugu tusend, och bredden tiotusend stänger;
The land that will be allotted to the [other] descendants of Levi will be the same size as the land allotted to the priests. So together, those two portions of land will be (8.3 miles/13.3 km.) long and (6.6 miles/10.6 km.) wide.
14 Och skola intet deraf bortsälja, eller bortbyta, att landsens förstling, icke skall bortkomma; ty det är helgadt Herranom.
None of this special land will ever be permitted to be sold or traded or used by other people, because it belongs to me, Yahweh. It is set apart for me.
15 Men de femtusend stänger, som öfver äro i breddene, emot de fem och tjugu tusend stänger i längdene, det skall vara allmänningen för stadenom, att bo derpå, och för förstadenom; och staden skall stå der midt uppå.
The rest [of that sacred area, a strip of land] (8.3 miles/13.3 km.) long and (1.7 miles/2.65 km.) wide will be allotted for other people to use. It will be land where they will be permitted to build homes and have pasturelands. There will be a city at the center.
16 Och det skall vara vidden åt honom, fyratusend och femhundrad stänger, norrut och söderut; sammalunda österut och vesterut, ock fyratusend och femhundrad.
The city will be square, (1.5 miles/2.4 km.) on each side.
17 Men förstaden skall hålla tuhundrade och femtio stänger, norrut och söderut; desslikes ock österut och vesterut, tuhundrade och femtio stänger.
Around the city there will be an area for farming, that will be (150 yards/135 meters) in each direction.
18 Men det öfver är af dess längd vid den afsöndrade och helgade marken, nämliga tiotusend stänger, österut och vesterut, det hörer till deras uppehälle som stadenom tjena.
Outside the city, to the east and to the west, there will be a farming area. It will extend (3 miles/4.8 km.) to the east and (3 miles/4.8 km.) to the west. [Men who work there] will produce food for the people who work in the city.
19 Och de som stadenom tjena, de skola, bruka det, ehvad slägt de af äro uti Israel.
[Some of] those who come from the various Israeli tribes to work in the city may also work on the farmland.
20 Och af all denna afskilda delenom, den på båda sidor hafver, i längdene och breddene, fem och tjugu tusend stänger, skolen I afskilja fjerdedelen; det skall vara stadsens eget.
That entire special area, including the sacred lands and the city, will be a square that is (8.3 miles/13.3 km.) on each side.
21 Men hvad ännu öfver är på båda sidor vid den afskilda helga delen och vid stadsdelen, nämliga fem och tjugu tusend stänger, österut och vesterut, vid slägternas delar, det skall alltsammans höra Förstanom till; men den afsöndrade helgade marken och helgedomens hus skall vara der midt uti.
The areas to the east and to the west of the sacred area and the city will belong to the king. One area will extend east to the eastern boundary of Israel and the other will extend west to the Mediterranean Sea. The sacred area in which the temple is located will be in the middle.
22 Men hvad deremellan ligger, emellan Levitemas del, och emellan stadsdelen; summa, hvad som öfver är, emellan Juda gränso och BenJamins gränso, det skall höra Förstanom till.
The area that belongs to the king will be between the land [of the tribe] of [to the north] and the land [of the tribe] of Benjamin [to the south].
23 Och dernäst skola de slägterna vara, som öfver äro: BenJamin skall hafva sin del, öster och vester.
South of that special area, each of the other tribes must be allotted one portion of land that extends from the eastern [boundary of Israel] west [to the Mediterranean Sea]. [Beginning at the north] will be land for [the tribe of] Benjamin.
24 Men vid BenJamins gränso skall Simeon hafva sin del, öster och vester.
South of their land will be the territory for [the tribe of] Simeon.
25 Vid Simeons gränso skall Isaschar hafva sin del, öster och vester.
South of their land will be the territory for [the tribe of] Issachar.
26 Vid Isaschars gränso skall Sebulon hafva sin del, öster och vester.
South of their land will be the territory for [the tribe of] Zebulun.
27 Vid Sebulons gränso skall Gad hafva sin del, öster och vester.
South of their land will be the territory for [the tribe of] Gad.
28 Men näst Gad är den gränsan söderut, bortemot Theman, ifrå Thamar intill det vattnet Meriba i Kades, och in mot älfvena, allt intill stora hafvet.
The southern boundary of [the tribe of] Gad will extend south from Tamar to the springs at Meribah-Kadesh, and from there [to the west] along the dry riverbed at the border of Egypt to the Mediterranean Sea.
29 Alltså skall landet utdelt varda till arfs ibland Israels slägter, och det skall vara deras arf, säger Herren Herren.
That is the land that you must allot to the tribes of Israel, to belong to them permanently. [That is what I], Yahweh the Lord, declare.”
30 Och så vid skall staden vara, fyratusend och femhundrad stänger nordantill.
These will be the exits from the city: On the north side, which will be (1.5 miles/2.4 km.) long,
31 Och stadsportarna skola nämnde varda efter Israels slägters namn, tre portar norrut; den förste porten Rubens, den andre Juda, den tredje Levi.
there must be three gates; each one will have the name of one of the tribes of Israel. The first one will be named for Reuben, the next for Judah, the next for Levi.
32 Alltså ock östantill, fyratusend och femhundrad stänger, och sammalunda tre portar; nämliga den förste porten Joseph, den andre BenJamin, den tredje Dan.
On the east side, [also] (1.5 miles/2.4 km.) long, will be gates named for Joseph, Benjamin, and Dan.
33 Sunnantill ock sammalunda, fyratusend och femhundrad stänger, och desslikes tre portar; den förste porten Simeon, den andre Isaschar, den tredje Sebulon.
On the south side, [also] (1.5 miles/2.4 km.) long, will be gates named for Simeon, Issachar, and Zebulun.
34 Alltså ock vestantill, fyratusend och femhundrad stänger, och tre portar; den förste porten Gad, den andre Asser, den tredje Naphthali.
On the west side, [also] (1.5 miles/2.4 km.) long, will be gates named for Gad, Asher, and Naphtali.
35 Alltså skall det hafva allt omkring adertontusend stänger: och sedan skall då staden kallad varda: Här är Herren.
[So] the distance around the city will thus be (6 miles/9.6 km.). And from that time on, the name of the city will be ‘Yahweh Is There’.’
